Peppermint Patty Brownies
If you love peppermint patties and you love brownies, these Peppermint Patty Brownies are for you! The recipe could not be easier because we're using a boxed brownie mix. Ingredients:
1 box fudge brownie mix
1 10oz package of fun size peppermint patties
2 tsp peppermint extract
Method:
1. Preheat oven (referring to the directions on the brownie mix box).
2. Lightly spray the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish.
3. Make the brownie batter, according to the package directions, mixing in 2 tsp peppermint extract to the batter.
4. Spread the batter evenly in the baking dish.
5. Place the unwrapped peppermint patties in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth.
6. Spoon the peppermint mixture on top of the brownie batter.
7. Drag a spatula through the batter in zig-zag patterns to distribute the melted patties throughout the brownie batter.
8. Bake according to package directions.
9. Cool COMPLETELY before cutting, otherwise the melted chocolate will make the brownies appear undercooked and they will be impossible to cut.
10. Enjoy with unabashed delight.

Could I just zest instead of peel??
I suppose you could, but I'm wondering if the smaller bits would cook off too quickly and dry out. If you're going for a stronger essence, you can just use more pieces of citrus peel.

I’ve watched about 10 videos on this. Everyone saying ridiculous things like tilt the machine, use ziplock bags, etc. and here you come with literally the easiest thing. I was about two minutes from throwing it in the garbage and then tried the straw…. The espresso is delicious. Thanks for the tip!

Happy to help. If you didn’t throw those pods away, you can use them again. You may get a few grounds in the cup, but it’s better than nothing 🤷🏻♀️

Wow, that looks deelish!! I was going to ask about the glaze, did you make it or buy it, but lo and behold you answered my question with your link in the ingredients section. Butter does make the world go round but not necessarily for the grill - little post grill butter? Or stick to a grill pan? Mickey Spillane's in town has wonderful salads and does a grilled peach salad but with blue cheese, candied walnuts, and no prosciutto. I think I'd like yours even better - OKay I am starving right now.

I’m sorry you didn’t have any luck. I assume you’re using Nespresso capsules. If the machine is running and you’ve put water in the tube, it should work. Perhaps your machine is having a different problem.

Looks/sounds great. Question: why not put the shrimp in the "sauce" raw? I'm always afraid of overcooking shrimp and creating little rubber crescents.
You absolutely can. I just happened to have frozen cooked shrimp in the freezer. I thawed it, brought it to room temp, tossed it in and it was ready in 5 minutes without getting rubbery

Mine pumps out water fine with no pod, then I put a pod on and it won’t :/
Hmm. This is interesting. Let's break down how the machines work with pods. Each variety of pod has a different bar code printed on it. The machine "reads" the code to know, depending on your machine, if it's pumping out an espresso or a longer coffee. I suspect the machine has buildup inside. Try this: unplug your machine, open it and, using a very soft, barely damp cloth, clean around the interior and the areas where the machine touches the pod. This might solve your problem. Please let me know if this works. And good luck!
@@AtHomewithAnitaRosner hey :) I tried that, but it still doesn’t pump. I’m using the Lavazza coffee pods which were fine before, but now I’m wondering if I’ve got a bad batch with the new box because I tried a N’espresso capsule and that works fine. So it must be the pod itself.
