A post WW2 Little Engine for a Bicycle - Conservative Restoration
This engine was marketed after the Second World War to offer ordinary people the possibility of moving around, using it together with a simple bicycle. In the video, in addition to the restoration process, I will briefly delve into the history of these engines, illustrating the reasons for their birth and the context in which they emerged. While I will be restoring this engine, I will not be following a total restoration approach; rather, I will adopt a conservative method that will preserve its' lived-in appearance. The video will end with the completion of the engine restoration, while the second part will focus on its assembly on the bicycle and the related tests

Can a Radio Rewind Time? Picnic Radio Restoration
The radio belongs to my grandmother. I found it among her belongings in the basement, and when I asked her who it belonged to, she replied saying it was a gift from my grandfather, her husband, and that they used to take it with them when they went on picnics. My grandfather is no longer with us, and my grandmother was very upset about the condition the radio was in. Without saying anything, I ...

Flashlight Restoration for a Bike from 1950

Flashlight Restoration for a Bike from 1950 This old flashlight, probably from the 1950s, was produced by Trehawk, and doing some research, it appears that the company is very old and also produced flashlights used during WW2. The video flashlight is a model that can be used on the bike but also as a portable flashlight, since it uses a battery inside and not the dynamo of the bike to turn on. ...

Old Electro Mechanical Calculator - Restoring
Old Electro Mechanical Calculator - Restoring In today’s video I decided to restore an Old Mechanical Calculator found in a flea market. It hadn’t some pieces and was covered with dust. The seller didn’t guarantee me if it could work, but I decided to give it a try and buy it. I didn’t want to plug it in before taking a look inside at first, I preferred avoiding any sort of problem. In this res...
Restoring An Old Crown Capping Machine

#restoration #rustyrestoration #satisfyingvideo Restoring An Old Crown Capping Machine. I have found in my under-stair this old crown capping machine. Considering its condition, at first glance, I didn’t realize what it was. I asked my parents information about it. They told me that tool was used by my grandparents to cap the bottle of the tomato conserves they made. It’s likely the crown cappi...

Wonderful video Greetings from Italy 🙂
The engine will be started in another video, where I will restore the bike, the tank, and the sprocket. I will assemble everything and test the engine on the road
Excelente, didactico, Profesional. Un trabajo admirable
Thank you!
well done
Motorized Bicycles still running, bro.
Sem ronco, sem like.
The engine will be started in another video, where I will restore the bike, the tank, and the sprocket. I will assemble everything and test the engine on the road.
Thanks for sharing. This was fantastic.
Thank you instead!
Restoring a car in this condition would be very challenging and expensive. Currently, I don't have the space or time to bring a full car restoration to this channel. At the moment, I'm making a video about an Alfa Romeo 33 that has been sitting idle for a long time. In that video, I'll try to drive it on the road.
There were tons of similar engines in France after WW2..
Also in Italy. In the video I showed only some but there are many
Yes, that’s right. This engine doesn’t use oil seals, so grease was used instead of oil
I will put it in operation in the next video, where I will also restore the bike
wow and give it to expert sir for rebuilt
👑
I wouls love to have that Heli fuse .
One day, maybe I'll reassemble it 😂. It's a Bell 212 by Graupner.
Saluti
An engine that has been sitting idle for many years isn't necessarily seized. It depends on many factors, such as the location where it's stored. High humidity can have a significant impact, but so can the piston-cylinder tolerance.
very nays ❤❤❤❤❤❤
When he was removing the old grease the grease looks a bit like chocolate sauce
i cant wait to see it in action
very good video
Thank you!
My first car, same color, almost brand new car when I bought it, 15 - 16 year old kid. An older guy from my school borrowed this car when I was abroad, never ever got my White Fiat 850 back, never ever, gone.
Why didn't you go to pick it up?
@@Ego.Reficio "missing car" he said. Couldn't do anything about it, had to leave the country. My entire family are North Americans, this incident was in Europe.
😅😅
The initial idea was to drive it on the road, but I didn’t know that the bottom plates were reduced in this way
Very Cool!! I am now restoring an Alpino, a model with a friction roll that moves the rear tyre of any bicycle, here in Brazil. This motor is installed in the middle of the bicycle frame. Which country are you from? Thanks for your video.
Nice, congratulations! Did you find in brazil the engine you are repairing? I am Italian
@@Ego.Reficio Ciao; I actually bought my engine in Uruguay, our neighbors. These little Alpine and Garelli Mosquito motors were sold in that country under the brand "Fido". The brass identification plate on the flywheel wheel cover has this name, "Fido".
Una máquina muy linda!!! Acá en Argentina fueron los Fiat 600 hermosos 😊. Saludos
If I remember correctly, in Argentina the Fiat 600 was called Seat 600. Greetings to you too!
The engine will be started in a next video, where I will also restore the bike on which it will be mounted
10:55 me emocioné mucho cuando lo escuche arrancar 🥹🥹
There were many such motors in post-WW2 Europe each with different levels of technical refinement most being very basic. By the second half of the 1950s, most fell by the way-side as living standards began to improve but from the technical perspective, I think they remain interesting.
That’s correct. I think like you about the interest these little engines have
5:30 ASMR stands aside
Sehr vorsichtig gemacht.
You are right, but I forgot to do it when I shot the video. In the other video where I started the fiat 1100, I did this operation
👍👏👏👏🚖🚗yeah 👍🎥👋☮️
Ebikes are gay gasbikes are the shit!! Faster better last longer cheaper drive further more available parts and upgrades easier to fix easy to put out if it catch on fire less toxic
Super Robota !
Great video, thats one heck of a thorough restoration!! 😮
Thank you!
You need a vaper hone cabinet.
With it, the aluminum would come out too shiny and looking "like new". I preferred to leave the "vintage" look
@@Ego.Reficio Understandable, for the outside. For things like pistons, connecting rods, valves, combustion chambers, ect there's no better way I know of to remove carbon an gunk. Generally aluminum looks frosted after vapor honing an isn't shiny like chrome.
What if the PCB is broken? Do you have the schematics?
No, I don’t have the schematics of the pcb. However, the pcb is very simple as you can see, it wouldn’t be a problem to fix it
I can't wait to see the video with the engine starting 😁. really compliments, excellent restoration
Thank you! Stay tuned 😉
The only problem I see here would be that the guy did do the correct Torque Specs
I ALWAYS LOVE EVERY VIDEO WHERE MACHINERIES GET OIL BATH OR GREASED .... LOVE FROM INDIA

Bakana o video e principalmente o motor antigo e ainda perfeito eu tive uma Alpina feita no rio grande do sul Brasil.
Can you retore a full vintage car with all the details?
Yes, I do already, in my spare time. But making a video about a restoration of a vintage car would take a long time
