The Foundation for Common Land’s purpose is both to conserve the cultural landscapes associated with Commoning and enhance the natural assets of Common Land for the benefit of the public.
Cash And Commoning: Maximising Profits For Upland Farmers Webinar
We start the webinar by exploring findings from a three-year research project creating a profit and loss balance sheet for grazing Dartmoor Commons.
Then we move on to look at how you can increase the profitability of your upland farm business by identifying the maximum sustainable output or ‘sweet spot’ - the point where farming will be at its most profitable, nature is optimised, and energy use minimises.
Lastly, we demonstrate the Upland Farmer Toolkit - a new online tool to help you plan how to mitigate the loss of BPS.

The farmers would be better off grazing their cattle amongst wooded areas with grasslands and scrub in between. Also I'm fed up with farmers rights trumping everyone else's, especially considering they already have a vast amounts of private land of their own.
Thank you will for sharing your farm life, here in Scotland we call the hay in storage a dash usual about 1200 small bales in each dash . Now rarely see small bales , all wrapped big bales. Excellent video .
