LUMINOSITY MASKS IN LIGHTROOM - In 2 minutes

LUMINOSITY MASKS IN LIGHTROOM - In 2 minutes
hlg is probably the best
I am waiting for mine, my current camera is a lumix g9 MFT and its so bad, mostly can only film at night time... But 3200 with HLG and a 1.8 aperture lens isnt bad, I imagine if I use a speedbooster focal reducer id get even better performance just no autofocus
Low light performance of the back side illuminated Sony sensors has always been very good. Just editing some vlogs from blue hour and the footage is very usable using iso 12800
@@tonyjhughes HLG on lumix performs best in a post-production environment for recovering dark spots and using a higher ISO, I wonder if this could be true on the Sony, but I can't wait to try Slog my zve1 just hit the local post office today, I hope there's an over achiever looking for holiday pay, and I hope he's got the lens too... I'll be comparing it against a MFT lumix G9 which I may replace with a g9ii or s5 or s5ii, MFT is good for vlogging and audio work flow, Lumi audio and stab is amazing on its own, id rather set the Sony up in the corner and hold the Lumi for my music videos. Also ordered a Moza slypod
Can you see puffins in april?
April is just a bit too early unfortunately, they start arriving back in Iceland in May
Why even shoot Slog-3 in near total darkness, doesn't make any sense
Oh right! I presumed that gave me the best dynamic range, happy to be corrected though?
This is one of the most stunning visually appealing Vlogs on Iceland. How you ahot these videos, are they all shot in HLG and if yes what software you used to edit and what was the process? Very curious to know. Amazing work though, highly underrated channel.
Thanks 🤩🤩 glad you’re enjoying the vids!! I shoot a lot in slog-3 or d-log on the drone. Some stuff on a DJI Pocket 2 isn’t hdr at all. I use premier pro, a HDR monitor and configure the program monitor to rec2020 HLG and then just grade all my random footage from there, then export H265 with Rec2020 HLG. Pretty simple (once I’d worked it out after a lot of trial and error 😅😅) Currently out photographing the dolomites and Slovenia, so some more HDR epic vlogs coming once I get back to the UK 😉
Iceland is definitely on my list!
DO IT!!! You won't regret booking some flights and heading out there for sure :)
Don't foget Ai gives you 3 options or examples for removable
This. Gotta try all 3 and sometimes regenerate. It's not perfect.
Yes true, been trying it some more, but on more complex scenarios, 3,6 or 9 attempts and nothing was amazing. But maybe a good enough starting point to tidy up in PS 👍
Great video very informative 👏
Thanks! glad you found it useful
Nice video. Very helpful tips 👍🙂
You are most welcome 🤘🤘
Thanks Tony, useful informations. See you on your next photo trip ...
If I can help one person, then it’s job done!!! Couple of weeks till the next trip 🎉🎉🎉😁
Great video & photos, thank you! If you want a camera that truly handles extreme weather & rain, I highly recommend you try OM Systems. They have actual IP53 weather sealing, backed with the testimony of tons of extreme weather photographers. Its the rare example of gear outperforming the marketing hype - the OM1 with Pro lenses is borderline submersible.
What an amazing photographic adventure. Well done. Thanks for wonderful narration.
So happy you enjoyed it!! 😁😁😁
What time of year did you travel here?
We went in the last week of March, first week of April 👍
From what I understood from your video, you have a full spectrum modified A7IV? Don't you have problems with the internet IR LED that is present in the shutter mechanism? I had an A7IV modified a few years ago, with an AstroMod, and I had IR light leak because of this LED...only visible when using a filter directly in front of the sensor. I used the Astrodon Ha filter.
I do yea, just recently got my A7iv full spectrum modified (+ heat sync & dust reduction system added back) by Spencer Camera in the US. I haven't had a chance to properly play with it yet, but as far as I can tell no light leaks! They do extensive testing of different camera models to ensure problems like this don't occur. My old Canon 6D mkii had an astro-mod and I had light leaks through the eyepiece on long exposures. *Here's an excerpt from their site on Sony models.* "The Sony A7R series cameras (I, II, III, IV, and V) are now Highly recommended for Visible + H-Alpha modification, but still Not Recommended for FULL SPECTRUM. They have a design flaw that will create an infrared light leak after a FULL SPECTRUM modification has been performed." www.spencerscamera.com/store/store_product_detail.cfm?Product_ID=26&Category_ID=1&Sub_Category_ID=2
Just found your channel Tony and will definitely be back - some cracking images. Off to Glencoe (return visit) shortly so a good appetite wetter!
Glad you found me and enjoyed my photos!🤘🤘Hope you have an amazing trip and don't get eaten by too many midges 😂
Superb videos mate
Thanks buddy! Glad you enjoyed them!
awesome work. I really like the one at 9:39.
I really wanted one more shot of the geyser, I think by that time I was holding my camera up for 20 minutes just waiting, my arm was dead 😂
Stunning visuals! The landscapes are so beautifully shot. Can’t wait to see more! 👍178
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁😁🤘
Thanks for sharing this trip Tony its be amazing . defiantly inspired me to take a trip over soon.
You’re welcome ☺️ Iceland is definitely worth a week or two of your time to explore. Problem is, after you’ve been once you want to go back another 100 times!! Get in contact if you need any help 😉
FYI - If you haven't seen the first two parts of our campervan adventure, check out the ICELEND playlist on my channel, it has the other two 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Such stunning views! You’ve really captured the essence of these landscapes. Incredible videos! 👍66
thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
The landscapes you captured are absolutely breathtaking, especially Eystrahorn and the hidden gems you found along the way. Loved the mix of iconic spots like Gullfoss and the Golden Circle with those lesser-known areas. Reallt cool video 👌
Thanks, I'm so happy you think I captured those places well. We only spent one day in the Golden circle, the best bits of Iceland are a bit further afield in my opinion!
I must buy a drone 🙂Thanks for sharing Tony. See you on your next trip ...
Yea, get yourself in the air and shoot some aerial photos!! It really is so much fun :) next big trip is in November, so probably 2025 for the next video 😂
superb video 👍
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it :)
@@tonyjhughes 👌
Another great video Tony, always worth the wait
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it! Need to organise the next trip now....
I've got a lovely drone pano from Hvalnes printed out, still sat in a cardboard tube. I really should get it framed...
Noice!! I have a small print on the wall 😬 might do a bigger print later… but my light gray ink is running low and there were a lot of clouds there that day 😅
Just came across your video, as I’m heading to Skye later this month. Loved it
Aweomse! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁 got a few more older Isle of Skye videos too in case you haven’t filled up your itinerary already. It’s such a beautiful place!!!
Mate how long was you there for, 2 weeks 4 weeks?
I think we did 10/11 nights in the campervan and then spent our last night in Reykjavik before heading home. I wish it was 4 weeks!!!!
You could make a t-shirt with that bird advice haha
😂😂😂 Maybe I should start selling merch on my site....
Wow!! Amazing views. Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍49
Thank you so much 👍
Amazing work Tony, everything about this video is sooo good! Wow!
Thanks!!! Glad you enjoyed it :) got one more Iceland video vlog to go....!!
The one of Vestrahorn at 21:00 is…Wow! The colors, the texture in the dunes from the side lighting, your wife standing in the middle, just an overall great shot! I also really like the long exposure shot just after that. Great work.
Thanks Chris!! we really had great conditions, you really want a strong wind the night before to get rid of footsteps in the dunes and then a nice sunrise. It's worth the wet feet for the long expo shots too!
Fantastic stuff 👍🙂
Thank you 👍glad you enjoyed the video 😁
@@tonyjhughes 🙂👍
Thanks for sharing Tony, Great photos and tips.
My pleasure!
What an amazing place 😍
It really is awesome, can't wait to go back!!
As usual, great stuff
Thanks Stephen!! So happy you enjoyed it 🤩🤩
@@tonyjhughes always enjoy your vlogs
Great stuff, that light at Vestrahorn was a gift, nothing like that on my visit a couple of years back!
Yea, we got two really awesome sunrises and an epic sunset whilst we were there!! So lucky!! Just missed the aurora though, means I’ll have to go back 😏😂
Fantastic video, conditons and photos 👌🙂👍
So happy you enjoyed it! Promise I’ll finish the second Iceland video soon!!
@@tonyjhughes 👌
Just watching your video as i am off there in October. You have said twice so far parking is 1000isk is this cash or card? WHat settings did you use for your timelaps, i think i may take my second body just in case..
Definitely take a second body! I used S&Q mode on my Sony ZV-E1, but that was an error 😂 max 1s exposure time, bumped the iso and the videos are almost unusable! I would do 4/5s exposures with a 1s interval for Aurora, which I’ll do next time!! Don’t think we had cash once while we were there. Just used a card everywhere, pretty much everywhere is contactless, at least all the campsites, shops and car parks we went to were 👍
@@tonyjhughes Thanks for that re cash or card, good info 🙂
Another great video Tony. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!!
beautiful work Tony! Looks like it was an awesome trip
Certainly was… already plotting a return trip 😅
Man just found your Chanel and follow A lot of the landscape photography guys on UA-cam and tell you man you Channel deserves a lot more attention and subscribers! Can wait to see more
How can I not pin a comment with such a glowing review!! Still, it's just little old me sat behind the social media algorithms 🤣Thanks!!!
What a beautiful landscape, and you're capturing it flawlessly. Good job
Thanks!! I try my best 😋
Wow I'm jealous. Beautiful!
Ha, it's should be next location on your list, for sure!
Es un lugar maravillos ,increible que paisajes ,las montañas es un sueños que bonito lugar
Amazing stuff man!
Thanks 🤩 Glad you liked it 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
loved living vicariously through you and your lens ( and Caz ).. can't wait for the next in this series.. thank you !! regards from Sydney.. come visit some time ;-) cheers, @dez_blanchfield
Thanks buddy! Glad you enjoyed it 😁😁 We do need to visit the other side of the world at some point, it’s just soooo far away 😅
Great to see the first part of your Iceland adventure --- you've already shared some great images! It is a truly awesome place. I spent a few weeks circumnavigating the country in a Cozy Camper back in October 2021, so will be interested to see what you captured from some of my other favorite locations. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it! :) Got some awesome broll and images for the next video too, just have to pull my finger out and edit it!! Probably should do it now but it's Friday and the pub is calling 😂
Amazing video and photos! And the aurora over Skogafoss and the “selfie” are incredible! I can’t wait to see next videos
Thanks! I’m so happy with how that Skogafoss shot turned out, was having so much fun I didn’t even feel the cold!! Next one will come soon(ish) I promise 😁😁
Thanks for this Tony! I tried a day to night time lapse last year on my A7iii using the in built interval app but the sky on my images got very overblown when it transitioned to night. Think I know what I did wrong now thanks to your explainer
Glad it helped! It's a commitment to make a holy grail timelapse, but worth it for the results :)
