Hi Renaldo My sister and brother-in-law are going to build a house and travelers rest next year and we are all in Texas and I would like to move to that area but I’m a single woman going to retire a couple of years and my budget is 300,000 just a two bedroom one floor would that be something there that would fit my budget since it doesn’t seem far from travelers rest?

Great video. Love the camera work and the edits. Great b-roll footage as well. I agree, when I'm giving cons of living in Greer, I always say the traffic is my number one con. Other than that, I think Greer is definitely worth it!

It is so ugly and tacky. Kind of an imitation of Europe with all the proportions wrong. And his facts are wrong too. Furman is NOT the oldest private university in South Carolina. Erskine is. There is NOTHING here that looks like Italy. Was the architect insane? Had the architect ever been to Italy?

Great video about Spartanburg. Like all cities Spartanburg has certain areas that are best to avoid especially at night, but as a native and long time resident I think most residents consider the city to be overall safe. The most recent state crime statistics posted on the SLED website, for 2022, don’t show Spartanburg’s crime rate to have been the highest in the state in any category. The city police department is one of a few in the state that has implemented high tech Real Time Crime Technology. Visitors to the city should check out the Spartanburg Music Trail , plaques though out the downtown area about notable musicians from Spartanburg and the Spartanburg Revolutionary War Trail. Other projects in the area include a planetarium under construction at the public library headquarters which will be only the second planetarium at a public library in the US, a first in the state joint city/county administration building replacing the recently demolished city hall, a 945 acre park and nature preserve is planned for just southeast of the city, and the almost completed Southside Cultural Monument which will celebrate the contributions of African Americans to the life of the city. Some trivia: Spartanburg’s airport and present baseball stadium are the oldest in the state.

Relocated to Greenville from DC for work and only lasted 8 months before I went back north: The political climate, identity politics, high proportion of locals and lack of a strong Black middle-class made it difficult to assimilate. Also the city is too slow and stagnant for unmarried adults without children who are more transient and broad-minded. This bred resentment and jealousy amongst those of the lighter shades. Job transfers have required moves to eight states and four countries -- SC by far was the most backwards. #NeverAgain

let's talk about what's wrong with Greeenville.I've lived here 67 years and quality of life has gone down.Too much growth too fast.Roads can't handle the traffic.I avoid I85 if at all possible because wrecks often have it shut down.There is more crime,more drugs,gangs and homeless.

Nicely done & very funny con #5 ! As for creatures - all it takes is just some common sense. Snakes will leave you alone if you leave the. alone and watch where you sit and step b/c copperheads are ubiquitous throughout the SE something you get used to. But snakes never chase people so there is never any reason to panic just seeing one. Keep tree branches off and away from roofs to keep raccoons and possums out of the attics. Bugs can be greatly reduced by thoughtful garbage management like putting decomposable waste food cans etc in a freezer till garage days, avoid use of sugar as its fine dust leaves a gradient from source to doorways that ants will use to precisely direct them to the source. There is no reason people and all the creatures of nature cannot coexist given a bit of common sense and reasonable caution. Where coexistence falls apart is where a balanced ecology has been destroyed or made impossible by human development focused on only itself.

Give this place a chance and you’ll see it’s only going to get better and better ! 🏰🛍🍕

When I visited GVL for a week this past June, I saw Bridgeway Station several times from the highway. I have to say it I don’t understand the reasoning behind the style of architecture and I’m not a fan of the aesthetics. It is just so out of place for SC. I’m sure many places in it are great and I wish those businesses success. But it’ll never be a replacement destination for a “real” downtown. Thank you for the video. You have such a warm and likeable demeanor.

Moving to Greenville me and the misses are retired we want a flat house, 4 bedrooms with a basement, pet friendly with no HOA! Want at least a quarter acre! 400, 00 is my budget!

False... been here 15 years and if you're black, it's much harder to get a job... discrimination everywhere...I know this first hand. Also the schools priorize and reward the white kids over the black ones. I know from personal experience...

Unity Park is okay. It needs trees for shade. Greenville has about 12 months that are much much better for children to enjoy .
