WOW Beautiful video snow of HUDDERSFIELD. Been to visit there 3 days ago. Will attend there soon again. As I said I like it in HUDDERSFIELD. Yes the shopping centre has gone down. Still it has a wonderful atmosphere the people are friendly there. Great videos of HUDDERSFIELD

Milnsbridge the town that died, I've lived here for over sixty five years, back then it supported three banks, a building society, two Co-operative societies, eight pubs, at least one of every kind of shop you could think of including four butchers shops - six if you count the co-ops - even had a pork pie factory, an electrical shop, clothes shops, grocers shops, four cafes, there were eighteen mills plus support industries, chemical and dye manufacturing, textile machinery repairers, we had a railway station, a railway goods yard, a large motor transport company that transported the goods made here not just to Britain but for export throughout the world, a blacksmiths. The mills may have been "Dark and Satanic" but they provided literally thousands with a livelihood, Now we have the only river crossing for two miles in either direction - don't come though Milnsbridge on a tea time - two cash points, a foreign owned super market and nobody knows how many thousand of tons of illegally dumped waste.

Nice video - find it interesting that the Camera Partnership have managed to find the money to install a new camera along Woodhead Road that might catch the odd mobile phone user (this is what someone told me the new camera is for) but not enough money for an 'Amber Gambler' camera on the pelican crossing on Parkgate (bottom of Waingate) where I know cars go through on Red and people have come very close to being hit - myself included, and I'm Severely Visually Impaired (blind). If the Camera Partnership had put a camera here, they would make a fortune with the amount of car's going through on Red. They told me it would be too expensive to remove the camera from outside The Fleece public house and install something to make it safer to cross the road.
