Hello and welcome to my UA-cam Channel, MG3D. My name is Morgan and I like to make things in Blender, Unreal Engine, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter and more. I started working in 3D about five years ago, when I began the goal was to get good enough so I could create concept art and assets for a few of the stories I am working on. I quickly fell in love with 3D and began learning everything I could about the medium. After 5 Years of exploring and learning 3D, I was hired by Disney to work as a Previs artist and 3D modeler for the show Monsters at Work. I learned so much about 3D from UA-cam and other creators out there that were willing to share the knowledge they had accumulated over the years. So now I am sharing what I know how to do and hopefully can have the same effect on some other aspiring artists looking for knowledge. I hope to continue to make each video better than the last so this channel can become a valuable resource for other artists.

What happened that day at the Nuclear Fusion Plant??I built and textured these props in one day using Blender and Substance painter. Assets are relatively Low-Poly. Textures are 2048. Cinematic built in Unreal Engine 5 Sequencer. Files were compiled in Davinci Resolve with no post grading or effects.

Have you checked your height map? You might just be exporting a flat plane.
@@MG_3D Thanks for quick response sir. Inside the Sync folder there is a height map but I cannot open a RAW file that WC created and I do have the xml file that shows coordinates . I'll run it from scratch. I might be doing something wrong. Thanks again.
Is there any other interactivity besides import/export? Can I control height-map generation with Blueprints for example?
The creator of the world looks so beautiful then unreal what is the reason why the engine looks bad ?

Good day everyone. I need help with correcting something. I installed the bridge addon for World Creator in Unreal Engine 5.3 to import my terrain, but when I click on synchronise, it only imports a black plane. I'd like to know why this happens and how I can correct it. Thank you as I await your response. Note: I do synchronise also from World Creator.

And your colormap landscape texture is really nice to use as global texture for distance blending on all layers. Then use weightmaps /heatmaps / Splatmap to define the areas for each landscape material layer based on the slope/flow/hills and also by color of the colormap...
I have always got the best quality heightmaps when exporting as .R16 (RAW16) PNG always give me low res exports that look like minecraft maps. But RAW workes really good.... And i think UE5.3 now supports 32bit. BMP image import now supports 16 and 32 bit bitmaps and most advanced formats. Not sure if / when R32 (RAW32-bit) will come. Or PNG 32-bit for grayscaled heightmaps, and satellite / colormapping

bro is using a software between WC and UE5 that no ones know and keep talking as he just oppend microsoft paint.

very nice tutorial bul i can not figure out how to make brushify grass work with pathtracer in viewport or render.. it works in lit mode but disapears when i use PT
If only the product matched the video, World Creator 2023 is a joke - they ignore tickets. - half the support questions get overlooked in discord. (not just mine, a lot of people) - the unreal bridge takes forever, thats without textures and anything else applied (I do have a pretty powerful pc and this is the only program that has problem after problem) do you have any good alternatives, I am using Brushify right now but I would love to have alternatives.
I textured my WC landscape with the megascans files and it cant get them to load, have you had this issue?
i thought these land tools could place foliage, so you need a auto material instead?
You can place foliage as well. Go to foliage mode, add static meshes and paint them right on the landscape.

Just some context here in that the Z scale or height will better match World Creator if you do the math to properly set it. It might be okay to leave it at 100 for some terrains but most do not fit the default height so Unreal stretches the landscape height. For example, on one of my terrains, the math came out to setting my Z scale to only 37.9 or so and it was perfectly matched to WC terrain! Good stuff sir!!
Thank you very much for the tutorial, super useful! I'm starting with Substance, and it came out great. If you allow me a recommendation, selecting the Principled BSDF and pressing CONTROL+SHIFT+T allows you to connect all the maps at once, if you have enabled the node wrangler addon, greetings! and thanks a lot!
Awesome Video Please help!! How do you "TILE " the landscape in World Creator to make the landscape like 4 times bigger lets say?
Nanite landscape is coming in 5.3 which should improve performance even more.

I'm pretty sure UE 5.1 enabled Nanite for terrains. How's that behave?

Here is how to fix RAW 16 issue as well as skipping GIMP scaling step: When importing to UE, reduce 'Number of Component' by 1 and you are good to go. For example, say you export heightmap from WC with 1 meter resolution, which will give you 1024x1024 16 bit png, or raw16 file with 1024x1024 res internally. Import either of these two heightmap, and change 'Heightmap Resolution' to 1024x1024, change 'Number of Component' from 3 to 2. Voila

There’s lots of free tools or cheap tools for that, it’s also pretty easy to make your own

The grass in the demo is part of the Brushify.io landscape material. You can find the material on the Epic Market. Cheers!

Hi. Yes World Creator is a paid software. You can use Gaea which I believe is free. I've used it before and it is really good. I use WC because I like some of the features and ease of use.
