Thank you for an excellent tutorial - very helpful for one picking up the violin again after decades of inactivity! You apologised for slurring some notes, but in fact I think those specific slurs add beautifully to the character of the jig, and also change the up-bow, down-bow sequence following. Practising without slurring initially could make it hard to later 'undo' the 'up/down' sequence that has become fixed in muscle memory. Your thoughts?

May I ask - is it best to nail the patterns so you don't have to think about them, before introducing them to a tune? I ask because I tried the pattern (A,DD,A,D,A) and felt okay so tried introducing first on A or second on D and it went pear-shaped 😆
