i love living in maryland for me it would have to be the weather in which we really have not had snow and in the summer it gets hot but over all its fine. really enjoy your videos eddie ,so well detailed.

Visted for a week i like to add some things. Pros. 1. Lost of independent shops and things to do. It's city that has a small town feel which is pretty cool 2. Its a pretty safe city that you won't have much issues with when walking around Cons. 1. Very expensive to live in. 2. While not as bad as other cities there is some homeless. I really picked up on this at the library This last one could either be a pro or a con depending on who you are. 1. Its a pretty left wing town. If you're very liberal/left wing you'll have an easier time socializing. If you're conservative, and looking for like minded people, or you're a moderate looking for a place that has more of a blending of liberals and conservatives values, then your going to struggle socializing here. If do move into Frederick you might have start reaching out of city find like minded people.

Great Video! My daughter lives in Crown / Ellington but rented her 1bedroom for $1,400 a month. Some kind of rent control or something deal. I had to stay there with her for two months, dealing with the Brazilian Consulate, loved going to Harris Teeter every week. 😎

I feel like Montgomery county is the most diverse county in Maryland. 🎉 Also, I read an article that Montgomery College is rank in the top 10 community colleges in the nation. Go Maryland !!

I was hoping to see Frederick scenery - not some realtors face

Are we seriously only 3 hours from ocean city?

I grew up in Frederick, and while I loved it there for a long time, it's losing its touch. There's so much development and many of my favorite spots are gone. I loved going to the Holiday Cinemas, the cheap theater that played movies weeks after its release. It was the first place I worked at, actually. But it closed down because of minimum wage, and a used car lot was put in its place. As if we didn't have enough of those?

As a single man, the best living arrangement for me would be a single family. Unfortunately, I mistakenly purchased a Condo in Columbia. I will sell in about a year. Though expensive, but Clarksville looks very attractive to me. I hope to be ready in a year

I really enjoyed this video! Great job 👍 I'm a Maryland native and have lived in Annapolis previously and have family who moved to Frederick a couple years ago. It is a cute growing city and seems like it is on rapid rise! I thought you broke down the differences well. The only thing I'd add is that I think Frederick has more urban feeling density in terms of walkability and spots like the river walk and Baker Park, whereas Annapolis is a little more limited in its downtown "walkable" areas (while still having some great spots, there is no large public park right in downtown, for instance). I'd also be curious in future comparison videos to see more about "dog friendly" factors, such as dog parks or dog friendly breweries. Thanks for making this!

The politics of the two cities may be different, as well. Frederick is more conservative than a lot of its neighbors to the south, i.e., Montgomery County. Not sure how Annapolis is, but in Frederick County, we enjoy relative freedom from government intrusion.

I like the idea of comparing two places in term of population, job opportunity, thing to do in the area, and more. Montgomery county of silver spring, Rockville, Germantown, and Gaithersburg ftw 🎉

Politics. Moving here from a red state, every problem I’ve encountered comes down to who is in power politically and the actions they take against the people whom live here. Yet the majority will complain and vote blue, and get the same results because of it. 100% Brainwashed politically.

What I remember from five years of living in Frederick was the traffic jams on Buckeystown Pike.

I have lived in Frederick since 2008. Downtown in the historic district. The only thing that is bad living here is dealing with the historic district commission if you live in that sector of town. My commute though is annoying and it would obviously be better if there was a better hub for public transportation between here and DC and Baltimore.

I truly understand why many want to move to Maryland. Maryland is a very small state on the U.S. map. However, Maryland’s great history can be substantiated, Maryland is the home of the “ Star Spangled Banner” . Maryland is first on many matters, which led to its prosperous start. To begin, Maryland has a long history of the most courageous Native American tribes. Indigenous tribes can be found today in Baltimore City and statewide. The footprints of early generations can be found. in the gorgeous architecture and the beautiful homes of the Lords of England, Scotland, and very wealthy German businessmen dating back to 1693. Multiple Prestigious academic institutions can be found statewide, such as St. Johns College dating back to 1696 and world renowned Johns Hopkins University founded by Quaker and philanthropist Mr. Johns Hopkins. Finally Maryland is the home of the most prestigious African-Americans or rather descendants of American slaves in America, including but not limited to Maryland descendants Frederick Augustus Douglass, Harriet Tubman, and the first descendants of American slave to serve as Supreme Court Justice in America Thurgood Marshall. The black descendants have held plots of land, schools, and churches dating back to 1780 or earlier and the families still exist today, thanks to the efforts of the Maryland Protestant Christian community and especially the Oblate Sisters of Providence and Mother Lange who educated newly freed descendants of American slaves in Baltimore’s Catholic community, while the Maryland Methodist established Maryjand’s historical black colleges HBCU, just 1 year after slavery ended. Maryland’s great history can be substantiated, although it’s future may be unknown at this time.

Hi eddie i enjoyed this video i did not realize frederick had so many nice new townhomes i will share this video with my sister who interested in townhomes. frederick is beautiful. my heart is with lake linganore. i love the west winds townhomes they are super nice .

Im from hagerstown and moved to frederick and i can say with 100% certainty i will never move back to hagerstown. The downtown scene itself is one of the biggest reasons. If your looking for constant drugs and violence in your face sure downtown hagerstown is for you. Downtown frederick is absolutely amazing!!! Wish i would have moved sooner than i did!
