I disagree with the statement that it is not the fault of the Patent Lawyer. This is described as a fundamental issue related to all patents and you hire a Patent Lawyer because they are supposed to be aware of patent needs. The need to get claim one correct and minimally technical so as not to focus too clearly in any one direction seems to be a basic need of any patent and all Patent Lawyers should be aware of this otherwise they should not be a Patent Lawyer. Also, without adding the final claim 1, this is just an add for iPerfectPatent and really did not teach me much. Seeing the outcome of Claim 1 would have really added strength to this video and made it educational.

Hello I have many ideas that I feel may be able to gain a patent and if you would be interested I would be willing to share with you my ideas? You can accept or reject any of my ideas because we would both need to receive some kind of gratuity because of our efforts? I am quite familiar to design and the design process but I am clueless in being able to secure a patent. Although I have just listened to your explanation about patents, it is still a minefield and something I would prefer someone like your self to handle? Naturally if you’re interested, you could set the parameters because ultimately my ideas remain as a thought and will never go anywhere without someone like yourself? I could reel off a number of ideas immediately and if you wish to test me out, I am willing to share one of my ideas to identify its eligibility? This pace of teaching is so perfect for me. I think I would get much higher marks in my classes if instructors were to use this pace. When learning something new I don't do well at a conversational pace like a friend is telling me all about a beach vacay.

I really like your channel, but have to disagree with that you HAVE to have a prototype of your inventions, or you may as well go home....I sent my sell sheets and 2D drawings to a company, who were very impressed with that alone, said my sell sheets were "fantastic,"....and signed a licensing agreement with them 7 weeks later. Maybe I just got lucky...but what I did worked out very well for me.

I've seen such dubious ads from people saying they are lawyers who also offer a free worldwide patent search. 😏

OMG, this video was so time wasting! with 1.25 speed.... The written essence of this video was 1 paragraph with the examples and on video should have been 5 min MAX, with 2 min channel intro and 2 min sponsors adv. we should be careful and claims are important, you have took our time for 30 min when you could make an amazing video telling how to write claim and getting more into details instead of this.

Never tell your patent-able ideas to any invention marketing companies. You will never get your royalties through them. If they breach the non-disclosure agreement you will be in trouble.

Is this also why you moved to the US? I'm in Germany and contacted the EPO. It's a nightmare. You can't apply for a PPA, you have to apply for the full Monty right away i.e. the full patent and pay several 1000s of Euros which is crazy. After all, even though the one patent I am working on now I'm certain will have a good market acceptance (since it solved a problem that I had and isn't just a "nice thing to have" or just a fancy idea) there is, in the end, no guarantee that it will still make vast amounts of cash, so you could end up with a full patent and lost your money, and that isn't even due to a scam! I'm hoping I can file for a PPA in the UK (as a British subject) from here and then use that in order to approach would be manufacturers in the 12 month PPA period. Thx for the video. Very enlightening (but, sadly, no surprise).
