The time of day and weather won’t get in the way of my hobby - check out my recent videos at Edinburgh during high winds and snow :) plus this was a special occasion, a lot of people showed up for it. I was very surprised for the reason you said, it was super cold and dark.

I think I have to agree, I do prefer the new 777, but the 350 is a very slick looking plane. And yeah the colours are very nice! Thank you!

@@AviateJack Yeah, in terms of looks, they both win. The 777x has such good looking rear fuesalage and wings and engines, but the A350 front is magnificent!

I think the 777x may be a tad too big for regular Edinburgh flights. Hence the use of a -900 and not a -1000

Virgin operates a daily to Orlando during the summer with the -1000, however the 777X is bigger so who knows. Hopefully someone will operate with it from EDI!

I’m no expert so couldn’t comment, but I do love Russian aircraft too. If the world wasn’t the way it is today I would definitely attend the MAKS airshow. Maybe some day! Thank you for noticing, much appreciated! Happy holidays

@@mattsutton1045 The Metar records show it as less than 12% perfectly aligned with the runway i.e. "straight down" on an average day in the last 12 months so a wee bit sensationalist and speculative.

@ my point was that the chance of a crosswind (and therefore go arounds and crab/side slip landings) are extremely rare, and that although the wind speed was very high, it actually helps the pilots here. Nothing sensationalist - just a well thought out runway direction.
