I live in Citadel and will be moving into a new house in Okotoks. The reason I'm moving is that Citadel is not the community it was way back in 1992. Also tired of the huge yearly tax increases to pay for the "woke" projects of politicians.

It is not clear walkable , everything just for cars Poor planned urban areas , where is playgrounds for kids, where is fitness parks. And transportation system is garbage. Absolutely garbage. To go to restaurant you need to use your car, Canadian urban engineers cannot do anything. They must throw their diplomas and start to learn urban planning again.

I think Somerset is a good area, statistically it's a safe neighborhood, and there is excellent access to transportation and amenities.
Yes. And close to the Somerset-Bridlewood C-Train Station plus Wal-Mart, Calgary Co-op, Superstore, Sobey's, Safeway, the Passport Office, South Calgary Health Centre, YMCA, and Spruce Meadows.
After doing some research I see mahogany is and actually rated the top neighborhood. I’d love to see where u got ur facts
I’m not from Calgary so I don’t really know but that’s just what it says via every article about the question. Says mahogany been the top neighborhood since 2018
These ratings are all subjective, different communities have different things to offer, I'm just giving information so people can decide for themselves what's best for them.

As someone who has visited mahogany as I have family there but I live in Toronto. I can definitely say it’s the nicest community I’ve ever seen with my 2 eyes. Too bad I can’t move as work but I’d love to retire there

That's a good question, your budget would give you a lot of options, I assume accessibility to schools would be a priority and also your preferences for demographics and amenities.

How’s Rocky Ridge?
I don't know a lot about Rocky Ridge, it's newer community, being established around 2000, with reasonably priced homes and close to lots of amenities. It has really good access to outdoor recreation if you like that.

I love living in Calgary, but there are things I dislike about it. I feel it's important to share the good and the bad with people considering moving to Calgary.
Thanks for making this vid. I went to Calgary back in 2014, and now I'm hoping to move there by this time next year, and I'm specifically looking at the Beltline area cause I liked it so much. Just hope the condo prices don't jump up too much in that time.

Hi Adnan! To give you an idea currently the average rent for a 3 bed 2 bath house in Calgary is $2888. I thought I'd also mention, for comparison, the average rent for a 1 bed 1.5 bath apartment/condo in Calgary is $2654.

Whats the real estate condition in University heights and brentwood
Compared with the rest of Calgary Brentwood is decent with around 30 active listings, a mix of high rise condos and detached homes, there's about half of that amount in University heights and those are mostly a mix of high and low-rise condos.

Douglasdale is a nice neighborhood, with nice homes, and a golf course. The current benchmark price for a detached home is about 695k.
