Can I do mustard and collard greens instead? Or with the turnip greens? Also what other kinds of veggies can I put in or substitute? Would peas and carrots be ok? How much of the calcium do you add in to each batch? I also have powdered reptile vitamins, would that be ok to mix in too? And my last question do you have any other recipes to try out? I’ve pretty much made the same recipe in your video for my skink to freeze so I can feed him from that, but I want to change it up a bit in my next batch I need to make. Would chicken livers be ok to add?

Great video! I recently rescued a 3-5 year old Indonesian BTS who has had basically no handling with the previous owner. He is extremely defensive. He poops and pees while thrashing his tail around as soon as I try to take him out of his enclosure. He lounges and tries to bite. He has got me twice and drew blood. I just got him accepting being tong fed but his is so untrusting of me and even when he’s feeding he’s super huffy and on edge. His previous owner said he wouldn’t eat while they were in the room at all so I’ve made a little bit of progress with him. I don’t want to give up on getting him used to handling but I think I need to try something different. I’ll try getting him into a bin and using it like you did in the video instead of just picking him up when he gives me an opportunity to and trying to avoid the literal shit-storm and bites.

I can guarantee that the morph you call ‘Ivory’ are all descendants from my lines. The original White Northerns from John Coward didn’t do well as intermedia so I crossed two males (whites) , onto 16 eastern normals. I produced 132 hets which when pared to each other produced many hundreds of eastern/ northern visuals which I termed ‘super hypos’. At the same time I also put ‘Sugar’ a white onto a hyper to produce the first double visual Platinum, in 2014. I sold hundreds of these whites over the years, and so have those that purchased the same lines from me.

Hi i use the Mazuri omnivore soaked and my Indonesians eat it out of my hand they love it. I mush it in the wet food for the Northerns and they eat it.

With regard to snails. I am keeping land snails which lay lots if eggs which i remove as soon as they hatch into their own neutral conditions, feed them up. But, i love land snails for themselves, so haven't fed off any of my babies. I give quail eggs and a good diet and including Mazuri, so far no health problems.

Thus wss soooo great. Ichad these wondrtful skinks when they first came into the US. My groups bred for me and I had 2 sets of twins. I observed on one occasion breeding down on the bottom of their enclosure and on another time saw the baby sitting on the top of the mom's back and on another occasion i saw the mother chewing hrr greens, spinach, and the baby eating from its mom's mouth. It was fascinating.

My rescue blue tongue skink Sally May has helped me w/ depression. I just got her a 4*2 cage upgrade. My family doesn't understand how cool she is. That's okay though. I have her in my plant room so she isn't in the way
