I'm whatever the opposite of hopeful is. It took me a long time to get there; I even used to think Inquisition was a good game. But it isn't.. and I can admit that now. We're never getting a sequel to Origins... and it's okay. Cherish the memories you had with Origins, and wait for the day that a new developer shall rise up! And herald in a new age of gaming... a Dragon Age!

@@vhoul In fairness the closest sequel to Origins we ever got in terms of mechanics is Baldur's Gate 3

I’m bad at spoiling games for myself but I resisted the urge this time LMAO, your warnings helped 😩😂 I’m playing on nightmare so it’s been a steep learning curve but I’m getting it down, beat the mage tower, red cliff, and about to finish the brecilian forest now. Trying to binge all the games before Veilguard comes out 🫣 I’ll come back n lyk when I finish

I think I might have mentioned this, but I only really played KotOR 2 a handful of times before this; I was always more familiar with KotOR 1, so I'm not very familiar with a lot of the well-known aspects of the game. But I'm always happy to learn more.

@@vhoul oh, well for the future if you play the prologue all the way up to just before you fix the engine then go back to the start and choose to skip it, you keep all the stuff you found up to that point. I can understand that you not knowing that. The atton thing though, you get a pop-up on the screen about it during peragus explaining that it's his special ability. As long as atton isn't the last to die, he will get back up on his own after a few seconds infinitely

You know, one good thing about the Veilguard is how it brings people together.

I'm pretty sure it's Survive the Montage by RKVC. I try to source any and all resources in the description. I think I even put the main font I used in there. (I know, none of us are used to anyone putting effort into their descriptions anymore, but mine are still handwritten.)

Like my regular voice? I did a lot of impressions throughout the video: Duncan, Batman, Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, Happy Gilmore... I don't know how anyone could ever confuse any of those voices for Shepard, but I've just never heard anyone compare my voice to Shepard's before. huh.

@@vhoul The voice you use to commentate your video, to me - is very Commander Shepard. Or I guess more aptly - Mark Meerish. Edit: I even went back in and listened to another couple minutes today after seeing this reply and, yeah - I'm still hearing it lol. Awesome voice, and loved the video! 13:08 little example moment

I mean, I could include that as part of a larger challenge, but I feel like there's a really simple, really tedious way to get a million credits without any cheating or glitching whatsoever. Never actually bothered to test it, but I'll try to keep it in mind if I come back to the game.

@@vhoul Fair enough only was something i thought of after some fable millionair runs. If you ever do a fable run, im looking into a theif only run. After doing a demon door only loot run in 1-3. 1 is possible 2 is not 3 is ok but still tough.

They've had 2 chances to make a sequel to Origins already.. we're all still waiting.

Demon Age, Morrigan and Me, Allistair and Archie, Zevran and Friends, Duncan and the Not So Good Really Bad Day... Any of these would have been better choices.

Like even Skyrim has more right to be called dragon age. At least it kinda revolves around dragons. In dragon age dragons have 0 plot or lore relevance. Even archdemon from dao decided to manifest as dragon just for fun xd

This was less about difficulty and more about technicality. As in, 'can it physically be done?' I knew many people have done this challenge before me as long ago as when this game was still new. But what I didn't know, is how far they pushed the idea. Whether or not they avoided seemingly non-optional allies, and how many allies you can actually avoid. It was actually once I discovered how to get out of bounds without using Sten that I knew I wanted to do the challenge, as that was the biggest roadblock I assumed my predecessors would have skipped. At the start the challenge was tricky, but it quickly became very easy. I considered doing the challenge without major glitches/exploits to make it harder, but that tended towards a very tedious strategy and I was more interested in variety. I did choose to go with a rogue because I thought it might be harder and more interesting than a mage, which I had assumed some people would have already been familiar with.

I love this challenge so much. I'd like to do more, but they're really hard to plan out.

It's a really bad algorithm. I think it took two weeks for it to realize that maybe it should advertise to people who are watching Dragon Age videos. Like idk, maybe that's.. the first thing you should try? *eye roll*

I used to like 2 and 3, but then I remembered how good Origins was.. and it's just not the same. I liken it to sequels in movies where the director doesn't really understand what made the movie good in the first place. I think it's the tone of DAO that I really fell in love with. That dark atmosphere where literally no matter what you do, nothing is going to turn out right.

What was I supposed to do? Sit at the door that won't open for 3 hours? There are rules, and if I break them, they are no longer rules anymore. And that's not true. Like at all.

The problem with that, is I don't own the awakening dlc and I've never actually played it. I own a copy of DAO for Xbox 360 and a PC disc copy. And for reasons that are entirely BioWare/EA's fault it's not possible to upgrade these copies of the game anymore. I could however buy the Steam version of the game, but it's all like.. patched and stuff. And on general principal I don't like to buy 3 copies of a game. How are the DLCs? From what I've read about them, they've always seemed irrelevant. If you promise they're good or really really bad, I'll think about it.

@@vhoul Personally I really enjoyed the Awakening dlc, from what I remember the story is decent. But just like Origins the companions are a huge part in making the story more engaging so if you play it make sure to do a regular playthrough before any challenge to enjoy the full experience. I wouldnt recommend the other Origins DLC since theyre are all very short like less than 1 hour of playtime while Awakening can be around 10 hours if you do most of the content.
