A complete waster🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Dialogue veers from cod Victorian to modern completely at random ..! At least they might aim for consistency. Also the pace is glacial ! Lots of moody shots and splendid interiors . Is it atmospheric or just a case of padding out a short story to a full length film..? But Acting and Direction WERE faultless.
Where can I watch this online or is it even out yet?
This is an incredible film for what Dónall Ó Héalaí rightfully won awards as lead actor.
looks good, adding this to by tbw list
Thats about leadership and such a system which makes that growth possible - cool
My favorite Irish Woman. She is special. Happy Birthday Mary. 🎂80 🥂
42 minutes into the movie and it was great. Then, it gets very homosexual. Immediately turned the TV off, what a disappointment.
Is it coming to Japan ? I really want to watch it in the theatre.
Poor johnny 😢😢😢
I know 😭
he's definitely the tragic hero of the film, left and unwelcome on his return, forever feeling alone
I think the whole point of this movie was to subtlety bash Catholicism.. main protagonists are portrayed as virtuous, intelligent, and morally upright and the first lines spoken by them in the movie are “We are non believers” while asking their elderly neighbour “Why do you go to mass if you don’t believe” to which his response is “looking at other women and some other superficial reason”. At the end when the others are saying the Rosary at the removal for the dead neighbour the director of this movie makes such a point of having these “virtuous” protagonists shown standing their saying nothing acting condescendingly above those saying the Rosary, a real show of pride I thought. It’s such a worn out, stale and boring concept at this stage to bash old Catholic Ireland and that’s what this movie set out to do successfully. Perhaps a movie bashing the current woke culture the same way old Catholic Ireland is constantly bashed can be made? Unlikely
Reminds me of that classic poem. 'But I useta see her up the chapel when she went ta Sunday mass ... and when she'd go up to receive I'd kneel down there and watch her pass, the glory of her ass.'
bashing catholicism is just trendy these days, maybe one day it will pass, or these people will disappear into the void and there will be nothing left of them
1:16 there is my dad
Can anyone share the full movie on UA-cam. Please.?
Loved the movie ❤️❤️
Saw it tonight, brought me right back to Ireland in the 80,s 😊
Irish acting is normally pretty poor in serious shows, films & plays but this was surprise having the mix of comedy and drama showing that goths aren’t usually miserable. Great music and the two sister eventually got a long
I'm tearing up just from the trailer...definitely won't be going to cinema to blubber in public lol. Looks amazing, so happy ireland is being celebrated on screen in many films these days. This country is a beaut
Me too ... this was my childhood in the 70s and 80s ... The last of the simple times. I'm just remembering my grandad and granny 😢
Does anyone know how to find the original piece of music? It's beautiful.

Why is this movie not available in Australia?
Where can you watch this movie?
Looking forward to seeing this. Currently studying McGahern's "Korea"
how and why would a fee-paid gig-economy artist afford a 200-mile trip by private cab?
Can't wait to see this. Feels like An Cailín Ciúin all over again.
Saw this last year - it blew me away. So tender and thought provoking. Really special experience. It never left me.
Saw it just two days ago but I feel very similar about it!
35mm gives a nice colour but the music sounds like Titanic.
Is this a documentary or like Spinal tap, a Mockumentary?
Is a documentary
Just a bit of craic.
Can’t wait to see this 🎄
I’m based in New York and won’t get home for Christmas this year. Would love to find a way to get this screened somewhere in New York for the Irish community.. who can I reach out to about this?
Hi Venom are the Production Company who are managing the International release (info@venom.ie)
If you do find a way to get it screened in the New York area, please let us know! Would love to see it.
This looks amazing! Festive yet bittersweet, and I love the creative documentary approach. Is there any way I can watch this in the UK? I only see screenings in Ireland. Would hate to miss this.
Ths looks interesting ❤
Awasome movie and novel from Sheridan Le Fanu
Damo we love ya lad!!!
“Noverber” 😂😂😂😂
Thanks Chris we are changing!
Will it be on RTE player.
Congrats to everyone involved in this. Well done Jason.. Looking forward to watching Nov 17th ❤
Looks awful, two lost souls, both find solice by talking....same old, nothing new here
Congratulations on judging a book by its cover. Shame you don't have the intelligence to give the film a chance, by watching it. Oh well, your loss!
@myvideosareallmyown I bet if I did I'd still come to the same conclusion, originality is lost in most independent films today as many won't tackle taboo situations for fear of no release or distributor, so we get lost soul based regurgitated story lines that offer nothing new bar possibly a good actor or some new setting. Where and when is their a film on immigration, racism, the rise of Islam, conflicts, impact of regional deprivation in the UK (nod to The old oak ) I'd rather watch a film that challenges something or discusses, find it startling that nobody has
@@4allofus821 There's a lot of very upfront and uncensored outlooks into depression. Lots of jokes that people could deam very insensitve. Of course you wouldn't know cus you haven't seen it ._. Maybe the trailer didn't do it for you and that's fair but trailers can rarely catch the movies soul so maybe just take a punt and watch it. Or at least don't make wrong assumptions
@@4allofus821 Imagine saying you hate a film you haven’t watched because it’s not a film about your own racism? Most bizarre comment ever. Go have a lie down and play with your crayons.
Film about my own racism?? 😂 jog on
Was about to see this until I realized Patrick Kielty is in it. Fuck that guy lol
B gf ❤23 dkc dka s p dkaa dkasad
Lovely film, and also sheds some light onto this silent cancer which is eating society alive called depression
great movie, essentially carried by two characters/actors with little to no input from supporting cast. You could cut off the supporting characters and story would hit just as hard. Mayby it's just me, but the "comedy" part of the description is an exaggeration. For me it was more of a study on depression. I was on verge of tearing during some parts, felt way to close home.
This is awesome! 👏🏽
Does anyone know what the name of the song "out of the city" is called? Can't find it anywhere
'This City' by Strange New Places
No one gets a taxi from ballywalter to belfast vice versa, nor would you see a black taxi in that neck of the woods! 😂😂
If your getting a taxi from Ballywalter to Belfast it would be cheaper to buy the car.
beat me to it my good man!
My thoughts while watching the film.
What’s it like looks crap
Maybe that’s why he used an unlicensed taxi driver because it’s cheaper 😅
Still not make it any cheaper im afraid, still ballywalter to belfast at the end of the day! cha-ching.
My home town of Ballywalter ❤
Let me guess you moved away 😂
This is great movie I like it very much ❤❤,
Bualadh 💚👏 bos!
