    That line on the imperfections hit home for me I’ve been crocheting since I was watching my mom do it as a kid and I beat myself up and have to undo it and always quit the project because my OCD and have been working on my current project for over a year. It’s just a cardigan.

    Hi i am thinking about making a shirt pattern myself using a different pattern for the stitches but use the pattern on the construction of the shirt and the style that you use on the shirt if that is fine with you that I can use the way that you constructed the shirt and not the actual stitches themselves.

    Hi, I've tried using cotton for the first time and it's really tough to crochet with. It feels like friction is causing it to be tougher than it needs to be. Do you have any tips for me

    • @Showmeromi
      @Showmeromi 26 днів тому

      Yes! I pretty much work exclusively with plant fibers, and I would say the type of cotton you are using might be to blame. Mercerized is usually best for low friction. With that said, I suggest that you pull the loop wider at the end of every stitch to give more wiggle room for the needle. It also helps to apply less pressure since it will not stretch as much as wool, and so it might make your hands tired. Hope that helps!

  • @kerravonsen2810
    @kerravonsen2810 28 днів тому

    Yay! You've listed at least two items I haven't seen everyone else suggest: scented rear-view-mirror hangings, and stress balls (rice inside a balloon, I didn't know that, thank you!) Totally agree with you on the tool-belt/tool-roll/wallet thing: making those with crochet instead of cloth or leather is going to leave you with a substandard item which the person will have to pretend to like. I've been looking at tool-roll patterns for myself, as something to store my DPNs in, and I myself would rather get something made of leather or cloth.

    Interesting shirt...🤔 I am fascinated by all the folding oragami like shit that are coming out. So far I saw the hexagon, the other hexagon one where you extend one the increases (forgot what its called) abd now this one. I wonder how many more will be created. I like the green you used. Later next summer this would be interesting to try or later on this year if I get a chance. 👍👍👍👍😊

    Hey, one question how long (width wise ) should be each quadrant? I didn't quite understand, love the shirt btw!

    • @Showmeromi
      @Showmeromi Місяць тому

      It should wrap around your body when it's done, right? And there's four pieces, so your body width divided by four is the width of a panel. Divide by four again since each panel has four quadrants. Basically your width/16.

    Hey! I’m currently making this and just finished the first front panel but I have a question… If I have to make 2 of the front panels, the same way, won’t that mean that one of them will be facing the “wrong way”? Or does that not affect the end result? (I am a little bit of a perfectionist, yes). So far I am enjoying it but I do have to rewatch the steps a couple of times to understand it😅

    Hey ! I love your tutorial, I'm just having a hard time understanding how to start the sleeves. When working on a normal size shirt , do we still skip 4 double crochet clusters from the shoulder seam or should skip more clusters? because at some point you say that we should have 4 clusters left on both sides before the slip stitches but I never get that 😅. Help😄

    • @Showmeromi
      @Showmeromi 2 місяці тому

      Hi! Yes, except instead of only having four clusters left, i mean you should have crocheted over four clusters from each panel. start four clusters away on one side, work over them, work over four on the next side, and the start the next row. So the first row goes over 8 total, four per side.

    Hey, Romi! I just wanted to thank you for this video, because it came in my feed at the very precise time when I finished my first cardi and wanted to try my hand at more garments. There's really not much male crochet wearables in the world. Unfortunately, I'll never be able to buy your pattern (something about war and all that dark stuff), so I had to engineer something on top of what you've done in this video, and the result looks absolutely amazing. I couldn't have done it without you. When I finish weaving in all the ends (in a couple of days, I hate doing it) and block it, I'll post it on Insta and tag you, if you're interested in how it turned out. You're a great inspiration and you're very cozy to watch.
