I think u have much better technique and skills with catching BFT with jigging than with with live bait.... lol I see u like to pint the rod downward just like when u got BFT on with jigging set up....How many short trips like this do you do a year? I do more 8 to 16 day trips over the year but since the Covid I switched to shorter trips 3days or less......Another good video from you

Where are you using the solid ring? I am thinking at the top of the jig. mono to solid ring to split ring to jig? What knot are you using to tie to the jig (solid ring)

Your technique - cast, let line down and then reel as fast as you can. Looks like you are getting most fish on the retrieve, am I correct? If the captain says fish are between 250 and 300, where are you dropping to before starting your retrieve?

Good info Derrick, I caught my first bluefin (#60) after watching one of your video. Speed jigging with Phenix 609 rod and Avet JX Raptor reel. Landed the fish within 5 minutes. Jigging rocks!!
