The direction a cannon sends you only depends on the final exit of the last hypertube, so you don't have to completely remake that one cannon going north, just the final exit. And the angle of the exit can be controlled using your scroll wheel after you've clicked once to place the hypertube. Long hypertube sections (not boosts) actually slow you down, so the boost going vertically down would technically be faster without the long hypertube itself. Your cannons would also be a bit faster if the exit hypertube is shorter (~4-8 meters/1-2 foundations minimum). Lastly, you only need the one hypertube enterance per boost segment. Don't need the enterance going back towards where you're coming from. And once you place the hypertube between the two hypertube supports, you can even delete the whole exit support too. Makes it slightly easier to create them more compactly.
Its cool you rediscovered it yourself! Fyi, you can condense it a lot, you need is a pipe entrance with a small pipe sticking out on the back. You don't need a pecific distance, you can chain it a bit closer. The 'feature' causing this is the hypertube mechanic of sucking you in at compounding speed, rather than pulling you in at a constant speed. Fun tip: blueprint a cannon, you can chain about 17 entrances + small pipes on the back in a 4x1 blueprint, getting you anywhere on the map in like 15 seconds. The only limiting variable is falling speed, which I think is limited.

If you slide jump right at the hypertube entrance you go faster. It might be a bit finicky though.
The blueprints make these 100x more convenient to set up and adjust, as there is now a blueprint delete mode, so you can delete everything you just placed with one click. Additionally, I don't understand the way you have built your hypertube cannon, as you seem to have two different exits linked together, i think this only makes sense in a bi-directional cannon setup. In my playthrough the way I built my cannon was by placing the entrance, then build a tube as short as possible from the entrance, then delete the tube support it creates, then repeat as many times as you want for the boost. I could be entirely wrong, but I used 1/2 as many entrances as you and achieved the same results.
x) the way you fix the 'stuck in a hypertube cannon' in a solo map is by respawning. that clip of accidentally murdering your friend at mach 12 is hilarious though
Yep, hypertube cannons are cool and well known, one thing I might suggest is putting a single entrance at the destination end with about a one-meter gap, or two or three supports wide, from the end, only going in the opposite direction. This opposing entrance acts as an instant break and prevents you from taking any damage when you stop. It looks something like this: Incoming Tube->0 Gap 0<-

Hypertube cannons, this was a known bug in beta and coffee stain decided to call it intended behavior and didn't fix it.
It is better than that. They fixed it as part of some other fixes then intentionally developed back into the game.
These are commonly called "Hyperloop cannons" when open ended like your vertical launcher, or "Hyperloop boosters" when connected to a hyperloop system to make your journey faster, like between your factories. The satisfactory wiki has some good info on them. I believe Let's Game it Out was the first UA-camr to popularize their use a few years ago. They do generally work better when built horizontally rather than vertically, and can be built smaller and more compact. Additionally, Y joints can be built to merge two hyperloop lines, so you can have one Hyperloop system between your factories, and split the hyperloop where you place your boosters. This is done by placing two hyperloops side-by-side, and a Hyperloop enterance in the middle of the two.
Hyperloop cannons can be built on both ends horizontally towards your destination as well, to skip the need for a full Hyperloop system between locations. This is what I typically do -- build a couple cannons at each factory I build towards my other factories, then use my jetpack to control my landing. You may want to put a power switch on them as well, as every enterance you build continuously draws electricity, adding up when you have 10+ enterances for each cannon.

You pointed out the Flower/Cross ribbon pattern on Nia, it appears on Mio too but we do also see it in Xenoblade 2 on Addam. Could be a symbol of royalty maybe? I have a mini theory that Agnus is kinda like the new Torna in terms of culture where blades and humans are more equal and why we get a flesh eater like Nia in a high position. Also feels very fitting with Nia being the last member of Torna (as in the group in the base game) maybe carrying on in memory of Jin. The Agnus soldiers even kinda have the tiered shoulder armour the Torna characters have and the red and white aesthetic is just very reminiscent of Addam, Lora and the King of Torna. Not that I think we'll direct references to all this but maybe just a nice bit of visual world building to show how that side of the world has come together kinda how the Mechon mixed with Homs and Monado
I see a lot of all games, clothes coming straight from modern times like X, but the titan in the end is Usaya, broken in 2, and that is the mechonis sword Thing is, in the end of xeno1, shulk and the rest were living in the landmasses formed by the Bionis, Mechonis cabt be seen and here we have ONLY mechonis sword, that tells me we will not see much of the xeno1 world Considering the machina and homs are allies seeing faced mechon used instead of the xeno1 tanks and all makes sense since they share tech now, and with the blade looking weapons whose to say xeno2 homs shared their tech too in this area? Lastly one thing that gets me scared is that all weapons and tech have that circular gauge, probably ether ressource gauge, and seeing the "land pierced by the great sword" Known as Swordmash be close to Uraya, split open with Mechonis sword beside it scares me: We cant forget the original use for the sword, to drain ether energy from Bionis as long as it was piercing it
Makes me wonder, I don't think either the sword or Uraya are where they originally landed. At the end of 2 we see where Uraya merges with the land and it goes in face first. Here it looks like it crashed on top of a mountain and was cut down by something. People have pointed out the fallen arm so we might get stuff more on the Xeno 1 side with locations but maybe changed and torn apart by the war. That point about the sword's use though is big, I couldn't pin down what its story significance could be but that's interesting.
@@Miguel-jq6ol to me i doubt the sword cut Uraya, the sword landed in front and the cut is sideways, Uraya to me looks actualy ripped in half with the peak of the mountain in the "cut", if the sword cut it, i would expect it to be right there
Thinking about the way Xenoblade 2 ended and how uraya originally hit the main land it's possible that their worlds hadn't merged yet and it actually happened later on and is connected to the aberration in Future Connected
