All Somalis must be proud of this BRAVE AND SMART champion of freedom!!! May God bless and protect her. Amen.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is such an inspiration! May more females be like her!
Inshallah she will rest in peace.

I am so relived virginity tests are illegal!
2nd to comment
Why do they let these maniacs into civilised countries
I'm not sure they share the dna if they are of different sex...
They don't enforce it
Reed it blood color!
Is this what religion teaches.? This type of abuse doesn't belong in Britain. These abusive people need to be sentenced for a long time, in both countries.
This is true religion for mankind. You can denied all you want, but soon Islam will prevail in UK. Allahuakbar!
To everyone at Karma Nirvana: may your hard work, resilience, and dedication shine throughout the world, as we all bring awareness to honour based violence and forced marriages. ❤
This fanatic has brought a bill through that means you cannot get married until you are 18 in England and Wales. My father was 24, my mother was 16 when they were mailed. Over 60 years and still together. Where was the public debate about this?
if you get married aged 16 in Scotland and you live in England she wants you jailed for up to seven years
Our parents think more of their reputation in the community and then, wonder what's wrong with their daughters when they marry them off to strangers.
Informative and entertaining
woohoo.Karma! pro uplload~ farewell. ✨
The pages scroll a tad too fast and I’m a quick reader! I do wholly support the message and I hope it reduces the number of useless tests that are needlessly performed on women and young girls.
I'll always send you a birthday card. I've read your books and just could not put them down. There are many sad stories to read around this issue, not just in the Asian community. You are quite some lady. ;)
You can report a husband who rapes you in the U.K. I wish you all, the very best and happy futures. Women and their bodies belong to themselves.
These stories are just unreal - I really admire these women, that they could turn their lives around and share their stories to help others who are experiencing the same problems. How can the parents espouse "honour" while disrespecting their own daughters at the same time?
I dont understand WHY how can you do a child like this I'm so sorry for you all prayer for the girl who will go thur this even more now that Biden messed UP EVERYTHING.......
WHAT?! What does Biden have to do with anything? These women were born & raised in the U.K. and Biden has absolutely nothing to do with the sociocultural values of their families - good grief!
'The most honourable thing a parent can do, is love their child unconditionally' I heard that
Very sad Dad please be brave he is in heaven in paradise away from this cruel world !!
I personally know some strict Muslim families nearby and they will absolutely not accept this kind of behaviour mentality let alone this level of violence used 🥺,they said it was against Islam rules and not accepted at all, if anything it’s a cultural thing. I seen a father here so steeped in sorrow of his beloved son he has lost , as a father myself I cannot imagine what he is going through. No one should have to go through such grievances , may his son rest in peace and I solely express my condolences to the family ..amen 🤲🏻
It struck me when the women wishing her sister a happy birthday said she was returned to the man for fear of shame brought to the family. The family should feel shame for FORCING their daughter into a dangerous marriage. They make me sick. This isn't the .....17th, 18th 19th century. Love your daughters enough to break this horrific senticing.
People making you feel shameful about being divorced is the dynamic that has kept women in abusive marriage. The reason society keeps that stigma alive and functioning is to try to keep women in line. To all the divorces out there, hold your head up high, it was nothing but a piece of paper and a few words spoken by a man just like your neighbor. There is nothing divine about marriage. The symbolism attached to getting married is just that. It’s a symbol.
Congratulations. Happy birthdays. Thank you. I adore you strong, courageous ladies, for everything you have endured and escaped. Determined spirits such as you, are pulling the planets females in a healthier direction of equality and liberation. You have both amazingly discovered, recognized, and lived out your individual purposes. Amazing. Well done. Good job. Wonderful.
so sad. much love to brave family .
Heartbreaking. 💔💔💔
Oh, my lovely your sister would have been proud to know that someone has remembered her. I've read your story SHAME and it resonated with me because I had a friend whose sister also ran away just like you, but to date she has never returned. My friends father was very much like how you portrayed your father and her mother like yours, I wish I knew DV then
Pav you are so brave to share your personal story..i hope you are keeping well..So many people suffer in silence,we all need to speak up,especially for those with no voice now..people loose there lives to this..why do we turn a blind eye to the evil in the world.. No one should be a prisioner,no one..and shame thats so wrong.. I wish & hope people start understanding more & times change.. Takecare..
It's your culture you have to question
Thank you I am have been there I am a survivor🌹💞🌹
Just watching the Documentary on this sad case. The poor Guy. They say they are strict Muslims and yet the Son's are out and about dealing drugs. They tend to have Girlfriends outside of their religion. Hypocrites! Why are the Women treated so harshly? Enough is enough. So sad for the loss of your Son. 🙏🏽😢
These are is the most horrific and tragic stories imaginable! As a parent, I cannot comprehend treating my child so cruelly! I want my child’s life to be better than mine, and no doctrine or ideology would induce me to betray my child’s love and trust and subject them to abuse. Unfortunately, the “honor systems” these beautiful, brave women were subjected are barbaric and archaic and have no place in the 21st century! So proud of all of these women for having the inner strength & determination to not just leave their spouse, but also leave knowing they will be abandoned by their entire family & friends.
OMG! I am so very sorry for your devastating loss! As a mother, I simply can’t comprehend how any parent could turn their back on their child as a result of sexual orientation, something they have no control over. The “honor systems” these parents embrace are archaic and barbaric, but that is all they know. They have been brainwashed into the belief system which fears embarrassment and the loss of control of their child far more than it fears losing that child. It’s a senseless, tragic ideology which has no place in 21st century society. In truth, all parents should love their children without exception and the needs of their children should come first, and if they can’t live with those facts, they shouldn’t be allowed to be parents!
✊🏽✌🏼💚🙏🏼
Very important work guys. I've begun to donate 😊
I've started donating to you guys. I've also tried to spread the word
Thank you for all your hard work trying to prevent this 💜❤
Bravo for this excellent broadcast....happens for males too ...I speak from experience
smart this hijabi woman <3 ,
How do we stop this ?
Thank you and well done, for helping others in danger. I was emotionally moved. As a British Muslim myself. And Originally from East Africa. I' am more frustrated, and disgusted for the fact that professionals and key agencies in UK are, still comfortable by using the '' term' Honour? "This is (Horror-Terror') and worst. Please stop 🛑 So-called Honour killing! " Arrange marriage with full consent between adults is out of date within the Somali Community in the Diaspora. "If these kind of family massacre, would have taken place. The entire community would fight, against each other all out war. The mother's and father's Tribe. Children's uncles of both relatives.
Jilu Kumar
Thank you! 😊
Very sad and upsetting 💔 my heart is 💔 listening to this
Just saw your story on BBC and I was in tears. Thank you. My ex-partner would never tell his family. I had to pretend to be his "friend" when his brother visited, we hid our photos, and despite us both trying, ultimately his shame drove a wedge between us. He couldn't consolidate our relationship while everyone told him - from his religion to his family and friends - it wasn't okay. So glad Matt is doing this tremendous work. Someone needs to.
