Thank you for the video. You said that flute out of Mono R is good against Doomsday. Could you expand on that? Are there other matchups where the card is good in your XP? I have not found many uses for it so far...

Absolutely adore this kind of in-depth content! It was always my favourite back in the day when Chapin and Flores were talking in depth about Standard stuff on their podcast, for example. It's cool when you can immediately skip past the basics and get right into the good stuff.

The 9-2-0 Dreadnought list had a red splash for the 3rd color on Prismatic Ending and 2 red blasts in the sideboard. There are a handful of impactful 3 drops in the format, but mostly having more answers to a resolved T3feri is a big deal. The mana isn't much worse: trade out an Island and a Tundra for 2 Volcanic Islands. I guess the main concession is missing out on Wrath of the Skies which was already a stretch in a deck that is trying to resolve some impactful 1 and 2 drops (especially post-board).

If i could design a magic card it would be an artifact for 1 mana that said: Artifacts can't become tapped, draw a card at the beginning of your next upkeep. When this artifact leaves play destroy target artifact and you lose 3 life. I have always thought it's a stupid design to not have access to better hate cards vs unfair combo decks like spamming artifacts. There's like a gazillion efficient graveyard hate cards.

Frog is fine, only combo is maybe playabale.

My #9 is Pyroblast no questions asked. Blue is still the most played color and you can't have one (Hydroblast) without the other. Looking forward to EW! Also: Would you get into Bluesky? Most of us are migrating there from "x"!

I will add null rod/collector ouphe/stony silence as card number 9 because of their ability to shut the door vs. certain archetypes you will likely encounter in a large scale tournament

Fully agree with your top 8 there. I always keep andwers to sideboard cards in mind and between Prismatic Ending and Veil of Summer you can cover this entire top 8, so Prismatic Ending would be my number 9. It also deals with Frog, Tamiyo and Nethergoyf reliably which is a big plus right now.

Great breakdown! I agree, the meta looks pretty varied. I'm still reluctant to call it "healthy" though considering the amount of maindeck grave hate such as nihil spellbomb... S&T taking down the event is a welcome surprise and All Spells currently looks like the secret best deck to me.

Recently ran into a miracles deck playing 2 noxious revival main and the card was surprisingly good. Allowed them to put atraxa/archon on top of the deck in response to reanimate, but also set up their repeated terminus miracles.

1:37 most lists are still 3 Narco and 1 Poxwalker. This list is quite a wild one, and not something I’d recommend for a lot of reasons but the pilot has done extremely well with it.

Judging from the metagame I guess Psychic Frog will most likely get banned next month, let's see if they will axe it.

yayyyy! sweet video! i'm CriKohler (22th place =D )... i choose Sneak and Show coz, i my opinion, is in a great place to be in the anti UB frognimator meta... and i think my read was right! I only play in the last challenge and made top 8 (5th place) and there was 2 more sneak and show in the top 8 (also the 1st place!)... so clearly i wasn't the only person who think this deck was a good choice xD And i played against 2 mirror in the showdown round 3 and 4 (and won 2-0 and 2-1... witch makes me really happy also :3 ). I think i also lost 2 times to the fail rate of the deck, and 1 to elves+nadu mainly coz i didn't know the deck (,= ... (did you know they play flusterstorm?... i'm sure i didn't knew it xD ) what a great tournamet. Thanks for the (great) video... really really entertainment as usual!

Very informative rundown as usual, thx alot. Nothing too unexpected I guess in this Top 32, though I expected dedicated Nadu decks to make a bigger splash as they seem to pick up steam over the last two weeks
