@@ecobaronenMTG also regarding the draft, regardless of the result, I think you underestimate the power of counters in combo-ish decks…I think picking Preordain and Ponder over Counterspell and Mana Leak is not how I conceive the cube. Ofc they are not mistakes by any mean, I just think that counters buy time for your combo deck to make land drops and dig deeper, while preventing your death, and in a format where half of your opponent cards are mana early interaction can buy you 3 turns easily, other than outright winning vs decks like storm and giving you an avenue to beat control decks. Just my 2 cents…oh you also passed a late Treachery which I found surprising
Yes, I highly prefer cantrips to counters in combo decks. The logic is similar; I want to execute my gameplan before dying. Cantrips always speed it up while counters don't always slow down your opponent. That's my logic :)
Oh this was rough. I screamed through the phone to take dak. That card was busted knowing you had only one big payoff. He drew it every game! Sometimes that’s how the cookie crumbles though. On to the next one! Ggs!
Force spike! I remember that card back in the hay day before daze was around and it blowing people out the water when you think the coast is clear with only a single island untapped
It's crazy how much more fun this cube is...old MTG is something else
Haha, I think they are just different. I love both though

And yes, control is a hard matchup without counters. Agree
@@ecobaronenMTG yeah just a different philosophy
