Have you come across any good resources for enamel coating iron? I can only assume you are on the same difficult information gathering task as myself. I am trying to re-enamel coat an iron stove. What are you trying to do/restore?

Can you bake the sourdough bread in this alone & not in the oven?
Thank you for your interest! For anything with a crispy crust, like country bread and focaccia, you'll need to finish it in the oven.

@@marnieanderson4257 The cooking step may vary depending on the recipes, but generally, you can proof in the Musui-Kamado using its precision temperature control, and subsequently transfer the Musui to the oven for baking to get the crust.

Yes, when using it on the induction cooktop, we recommend a slightly longer preheating time, but the rest of the cooking process is the same.

There is no HIGH setting. It should be MED (中火), LOW (弱火), EXT LOW (極弱火) and WARM (保温). Where did you purchase from?
Hello, I bought it to vietnam but it always displays error E-01 (but I put the right amount of rice cooking) 😢
I signed up for a cooking class at Vermicluar and finally learned the trick. The key that I think isn’t emphasized enough in this video is that you want to see smoke emanating from the ENTIRE surface of the pan (the smoke almost looks aggressive at that point). (What I was doing wrong before was I turned the heat off as soon as I saw a little bit of smoke. That’s not ready; that pretty much guarantees the egg will stick to the pan.) The second trick I learned from the class is: to know when your egg is done, look to see if there are bubbles forming in the egg yolk. That’s when you know the egg is ready and it should slip right off like the pan was Teflon. You should end up with a perfect sunny side up with crispy edges. It’s the best sunny side up I’ve ever made/had.

In our recipe, we do mention that the indication for sufficient preheating is when smoke rises from the entire surface of the pan. We apologize for not emphasizing this in our cooking guide video. Another helpful tip is to make sure the heat is turned off for approximately 30 seconds after adding the eggs to the pan. This allows the egg whites to firm up, preventing them from sticking to the pan. We appreciate your comment and we're happy to hear that you're enjoying cooking with our pan!
I love it! My favorite frying pan ever. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know and they all tell my how happy they are to have bought it. I actually almost didn’t get it because of the reviews on Amazon, but I realized the people that left the low reviews didn’t know how to use it correctly. Once I learned the trick to using it correctly, it became super easy to use and the food I made tasted so good compared to other pans.

What a strange pan that requires this... My steel pans don't need this. Put it on medium low heat, butter in. It melts and bubbles. When the bubbling stops it is ready. WAY below the smoke point. Smoking always harms the oil. So ideally the oil in the pan you want to use for cooking should never smoke.
All recipe videos should be this brief and to the point instead. Good job.
Just recently saw a YT video on this Vermicular pot, started to research and got very impressed by it. Sorry that I paid more attention to the pot than your southern food.
I bought mine from Tobu department store and it is the best pan I own IF you use and care for it properly.

Great thorough video. Except at 1:12, I think the process should be completed with the person pushing the start/stop button and show the button turns from blue to red (it's being done when you guys demonstrate cooking other forms of grain).

What about electric stove?
Our pan is compatible with all stovetops including electric.
In order to make your pans lightweight the cast iron is made thin at 1.5mm. But most cast iron is a brittle metal. I've seen thin cast iron pans and woks crack. Are your pans strengthened in any way to prevent that?
Thanks for your comment! Yes, our pans are made up of compacted graphite cast iron, also known as vermicular graphite cast iron. The material has a number of advantages over traditional cast irons like gray and ductile irons but it is known to be resistant vs. both thermal and mechanical stresses; therefore, also used in cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds for cars.
