My name is Kristofer Burton. I am a former US Coast Guard licensed Master with over 100,000 offshore miles on a variety of sailing vessels.
My wife and I lived on our 47-ft sailboat and raised our 5 children aboard for 11 years. In 2014 we sailed with the family from St Thomas, USVI, through the Panama Canal, offshore 4,800 miles to Hawaii and then on to Washington State. We lived on the boat for a year in our hometown and then moved onto land.
My family was ready for land life but I was not, so in 2020 we bought a little Nor’Sea 27 that we named Mig. I refit her. And I’m now continuing my circumnavigation with my buddy Norman on this amazing little offshore sailboat. My wife and family are my support and 100% behind my voyage.
