Does the Crono work in manual mode when grinding into a portafilter if the timer is set to "Min"? I mean, turning on when the portafilter presses the button and stopping when the it is put away? I'm just order a Mara X, Lelit had a sale, if I had the room for the Bianca on my counter would have pick that up, really wanted the Elizabeth but of course everone is out of stock so I got the Mara X great sale $340.00 US off and it will fit my counter, do you have any recipes that work well with Mara, g in / g out ? Is your machine V2 ?

Also, always wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth immediately after steaming or you’ll play hell getting it clean later.

How loud is this machine? Do you think it’s too loud to use at 5am with family sleeping? Just got the duo temp pro secondhand and it is very loud, especially the steam wand

i have done regular descaling and do not have hard water in my home. I always purge the steam wand after ever sue and use the cleaning tool on a regular basis to clear any blockage. The steam wand suddenly started having a weak stream both for hot water and steaming. I ran the descaling cycle twice and cleared out the steam head with the provided tool but the problem persists. I tried running the hot water and steam function through the steam wand when the tip of the wand is removed, but the stream is still weak. The machine is still under warranty, but I have had difficulty contacting breville support. What should I do?

My bottomless porta filter is spraying all over

Is it easy to adjust from espresso to filter grind and get back to espresso? I use to drink both.

I’m trying to decide between a bambino and niche grinder or the barista pro. I had the pro and have been hearing the grind isn’t ideal, very hard to dial in for a newbie

Quite a bit of water comes out of the steam wand when you first turn it on, so I was told to run the steam wand for a few seconds before you insert it into the milk container... in other words, run the wand into the tray until it's all steam, turn it off briefly, put the wand into the milk, then turn it back on.

Do you manually turn the espresso off when you reach desired extraction or do you let machine to shut off automatically?

What grinder do you use ?

I bought the Normcore puck screen too. I couldn't justify the price of a B-Plus puck screen but I have seen a review from someone who bought both the Normcore and the B-Plus. They found there was more consistency with the B-Plus. I still like my Normcore puck screen because it makes less need to clean the group head.

I notice you have your Mara X under the kitchen cabinets. Did you change the feet? I found filling the water tank difficult. Sliding the machine out to where I could get to the water tank was near impossible. At one point I was using my machine and it refused to supply water because the water level was too low. I couldn't get my head in there enough to see the water level. Couldn't get the water tank out but lifted it enough to see it was quite low. Moving it to an island where I can just peak inside the water tank has really helped a lot.

Grind size?

Hi Charlie. Help please!! I bought the Bambino and after using for a couple of weeks, am finding the system unable to force the water through the coffee. The water flows through without the portafilter in place and with it in place. When I add the filters without coffee, some water will flow through but somewhat incomplete. I've decreased the grind size and minimized the tamp. Any ideas? Sadly, customer service seems to be nonexistent. I have other Breville machines and have been a fan though a bit unhappy currently.
