It's a bit hard to notice because of all the fighting going on on the screen, but in the sand pit fight when Black rushes towards you, she's actually running on all fours; it confused me for a bit before I realized that was the logical way of utilizing her mecha hands to gain speed. Returning back to this song after so long I am reminded of my first time making it here Genuinely felt like I had a heavy weight on my chest and even a bit uneasy on my stomach, this part was when I really started to feel the weight of what's happening, and very often I hear this song when I feel anxious or alone, like walking through my old school in closing hours.

The last battle is not mechanic vs trucker. It’s earth mechanic vs alien mechanic. Just as she was able to undue everything he built up around ivory and its religion. He was able to use mechanics to build it up. The last clash is two very equal and different mechanics fighting hand to hand.

0:15 to 0:30 is the absolute pinnacle this games musical storytelling. I get chills every time I hear it. The first 15 seconds of dramatic strings and piano evokes divine grace and beauty but like Mother herself, it reveals itself like some godlike and furious beast of apocalypse. It’s the theme of a hungry predator disguised as a divine matriarch.

I don't believe in gods or anything, but this song makes me think exactly on the moment when you see a god face to face. Or just the countdown before the final judgement. This track really grew on me the moment I played this section.

This is the part of the game where you REALLY had to use your brain, but the puzzles aren't frustrating at all and I loved that

This is probably my favorite soundtrack in the game. Sounds so dark but satisfying. The music of Isilugar but distorted and melancholic... Such a cool narrative aspect. Also that piano section at 1:05 it's just perfect, makes you feel isolated and uneasy.

I've heard people say this boss is supposed to be comic relief but... I just can't agree. Everything that was done throughout the entire game was in service of nothing, essentially. The One Concern was nothing but an overgrown cargo cult, Ivory isn't some mystical substance but rather a form of gasoline, and the "god" of the planet likely has no idea what the humans have actually done to his gas station to turn it into this planet. I feel like the actual implication of this boss are so much darker than people will say

Robin and Elro are badass brothers , Robin defeated 3 samurais with a wrench , and Elro defeats a muscular guy with a one arm and a broken sword

The instruments used this song and setting immediately reminded me of Valak Mountain from Xenoblade Chronicles.

Ngl, no hate on the Starworm and its fight, but I feel like the game could've had this be the final boss and I would've been pretty satisfied.
