    Thank you for being candid with us. I hope your channel keeps growing and the happiness level keeps rising. When you roll on that throttle and start laughing and having a blast it is very heartwarming, and makes me llaugh and feel a little of that joy with ya, so thank you. Those mirrors you put on are nice. In the video it looks like there is almost no vibration.

    Thomas you are not alone I’ve battled depression for 30 years I’ve learned a lot of what helps to overcome it. You are moving in the right direction getting out and enjoying the outdoors riding bikes and making content, I moved from Massachusetts to California as a means to help myself. The winters in Massachusetts are probably almost as severe as Norway And long winters compound my depression, I do believe in geological cures! But it takes more than that having the right people in your life makes a huge difference and having a mission that gives your life a meaningful purpose is important. I pray Gods supernatural help into your life

    The Tenere is great for offroad. But I hated it for onroad travel. It would be great if my BMW F850GS had the Tenere CP2 engine. Then you'd have the perfect on and offroad midweight bike!

    • @TalkTheRide
      @TalkTheRide 6 днів тому

      I've never tried the GS, but will do, first chance I get 👍 What specifically felt wrong on the tarmac, for you?

    • @thatsleepyman
      @thatsleepyman 6 днів тому

      @@TalkTheRide So, the Tenere felt like a massive dirtbike. Nothing wrong with that and good for off road but I did not find it comfortable to ride all day on. My F850GS however is VERY comfortable but I hate the 2 cylinder engine in it. It feels a lot worse than the CP2. For example, it feels shitty until 3000 rpm. So if you ride off road you have to keep holding your clutch while giving a little gas while riding in 2nd gear at lower speeds, otherwise you're forced to use the torquey 1st gear which you don't really want. With the Tenere you really notice you can easily ride at 10km/h without having to touch the clutch in 2nd gear. With my BMW F850GS you can let your speed drop to 25~km/h before it starts to feel like shit in 2nd gear. That's a massive difference with the Tenere that can do it at 10km/h. So the overall comfort level of the BMW is a LOT higher, but the engine does not compare to the CP2. I haven't tried the R1200GS or R1250GS though so I don't know how the Boxer twin is.

    The only time I've felt like I could use a bit more power from my CP2 is on big US interstates where everyone is going 90. But to be honest I really hate being on those roads anyways. It isn't even fun and more power wouldn't make it any less shitty. On any normal road the CP2 engine is an absolute goldilocks engine in my opinion. Genuinely perfect.

      No you're not missing anything, I just forgot to flip the camera back up after I took off the original mirror 😁 so the video was upside down. I flipped some of the clips back around in post. Forgot some, too 😁

    😅 couldn't agree more. I am still under 1K kms with mine and even under 5K rpms, this machine still offers enough! How is the wind buffeting for you on the T7?

    • @TalkTheRide

      Yeah it has so much fun to offer 👍🎉🏍️ The wind buffeting is ok mist of the time, but annoying on windy days. Sidewinds are very noticeable.

    If you mainly road ride but occasional off-road Suggest you try Honda Transalp 750 or Suzuki vstrom 800de they have bit more power than the tenere but if you want more off-road then tenere would be my choice.

    Good video and agree entirely. Thing is the Tenere has so much more to give. I hated motorway speeds in such high revs. If you can pull away easily in third gear its too low geared. As I mentioned in a previous post. Decat remap de snorkel the air box and change lid add a tooth on front and drop one or two on back. Result is what the bike should have been . It breaths and engine is far more tractable. More power that you don't need but its there if needed and far better economy mpg or mpl but enables a more relaxed ride as cruising about at motorway speeds is all below 5k revs . l love how the wife whom also rides can get on the back and makes no difference to how bike goes. The Tenere is strangled standard its bonkers fun unleashed. The Tenere engine is great standard but best twin ever made was KTM 950 sm hence all the mods to Tenere .

    Thank you, Thomas, for another enjoyable video. For the roads you're riding in Norway, certainly 700cc is plenty of power and the Tenere 700 is light enough that you can do some reasonable off-road riding with it. Here in Arizona, I do very little highway riding but when I do, it's nice to have lots of acceleration from highway speed (70 mph or 115 km/hr) when you want to pass a tractor trailer quickly or when some bonehead is tailgating you. I also agree that nobody needs the power and acceleration of a 1000cc sportbike (most can do 95-100 mph in FIRST gear), but speaking from experience, it sure is fun. If someone has the money and enough will power and common sense not to be stupid on it, who am I to judge (being the owner of a Ducati 996 and GSXR 750 in addition to my Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro ADV bike). Also, the music is great and not too loud that it interferes with your dialog. Looking forward to your next video.

    I got the regular T700 last year. Live in Drammen and got it to use on gravel and offroad. Totally agree with respect to hp. If the cp2 isn't sufficient for what this bike is build for you are either a serious pro or you don't know what you are talking about. 75hp on gravel and offroad is MOORE than you need. If you are a speed monster on the autobahn, buy another bike.
