Goku. and yes hes a hero & his influence is up there with the other 3. if superman symbolizes hope, batman justice & Spiderman responsibility then goku symbolizes perseverance, never giving up & breaking your limits.

My own Superhero Mount Rushmore: Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Wolverine. I dont even remember any comics about Iron Man, except Demon in Bottle, his villains are not that interesting. Wolverine is good. Have good game, solo movies, movies with X-Men, most popular X-men and solo superhero, cool, violent, have interesting past and abilities. Definitely Wolverine over Ironman. Just because of MCU he cant be on Rushmore.

This I would put Miles Morales instead of Wong as his only known adaptation is mcu, while Miles in in games,movies, shows and comics. And for combined mount it’s either Miles instead of Bucky or keep Roy for me.

If only individuals are accepted, options are really only Hulk, WW, Wolverine, and Iron Man. Hulk would be the easy fourth if not for his fall off on his popularity. A household name along wih the big three and WW. Is a large inspiration for the rise of anti-heroes. Wonder Woman has cultural impact going for her so it's obvious, although she's not as popular as Hulk. Wolverine is very popular, but his cultural impact is questionable on how much separate his identity is from X-Men. X-Men is the one that had cultural impact and Wolverine does not necessarily share it considering X-Men's impact is connected to uts message★. Also a large inspiration for anti-heroes, but Hulk kind of beats him in that part, and they also share it with the likes of Punisher. Iron Man is obviously the face of movie adaptations, large cultural impact, but even his popularity is not the same match as those previously mentioned imo.

I’m sorry but I really don’t understand the reasoning behind putting those characters on the post-modern age. After he talks about this age being the resurgence of other mediums surpassing comic books in their influence, he then proceeds to put sidekick comic book characters in the Rushmore. You cannot tell me with complete faith that Kamala, Miles and Gwen surpass Iron Man, Cap and Batman in this era. Look at all the fantastic movies they’re in! Batman especially, he’s had some incredible movies and videogames since 2008 like the Arkham games, the Nolan movies and the Robert Pattinson one. I understand if he was being completely specific to comic books only and wanted to not use any recurring characters, but that needed to be more explicit

He’s not Shazam until the modern age. He’s Captain Marvel in the golden age and most other ages. Miles is an alternate universe character, too. If he counts, Gwen counts. Golden Age was all DC. Silver was mostly marvel. Bronze was all marvel. Modern was mostly marvel. Post-modern was mostly marvel. Overall was an even split. Marvel was killing it with the new characters, but could never surpass the World’s finest.

FF have the most powerful enemies but X-men have the best villains. JLA villains are not interesting.

Shoulda been Wolverine. Most of Hugh Jackman's outings occurred outside the MCU, but his characterization became iconic nonetheless. And the character was already hugely popular before those movies because of the X-Men animated show and his own line of comics. Marvel was pushing him HARD in the 90s and 2000s and now everyone knows who he is.
