can i change the display to have 2 full circle speedometer / rpm meter?

How did you get this wide view? On all Volvo videos I'm seeing a smaller maps and bigger dashes screen. You see to have a bigger maps and smaller dashes version. Did you change some setting?

When I press that button I doesn't get wider. Why?

Volvo switched from their sensus system to this terrible google android system and that is a nightmare as about 50% of the functions are canceled - it‘s a step backward from about 5-10 years years . I will now not buy the XC90 T8 for 100.000 , a Skoda for 30.000 can much more . I just hope someone from Volvo read all the criticism about this topic and react .

Markets differ so much. Here the massage and cooling seats never were included on inscription. I am ordering a V60 ultimate and the massage/cooling seeats are bundeled with the nappa leather for €2800 extra.

Hi Paul, I have had 3 Volvos in recent times, an S90, a V90 momentum and just changed this recently for a V90 Inscription (a demonstrator). I have all the same problems that you have highlighted with the infotainment system. Agree the google maps/navigation is good but miss the driver modes and speed/camera alerts. + missing so much on the Volvo on call app. Again the dealer told me that a bunch of updates are due shortly, but I think you have heard similar stories months ago. Have you had any updates?

Very surprised with the service you have had from Volvo! Personally I carnt say enough good things for the level of service I’ve had from Volvo uk and snows and up in Stockton, even gone way above my expectations even when I’ve had warranty clames. But I never buy New always secondhand due to new model issues and depression. But experience is subjective and different dealers operate differently.

Why does the screen keep dimming like it’s a smartphone with an screen inactivity timer? I don’t think anyone ever asked for something like that on a car infotainment.

Quality right through. It's a pity that it is an era of electric cars now, when you notice that there will be different cars, and that Volvo is not as strong in that segment.

How did you get your LTE connection? Understand that it is equipped with esim. Is the LTE service from Volvo or you bought it via a telco?

Hi Paul , I am going to receive Volvo xc60 B6 next week and they said that no individual, eco driver mode, available dynamic and comfort mode only . What about your v90, does it add driver mode through OTA update ? Thank you

I may be a little late here, but from a recent test drive, I remember that driving modes were one of the options you got to by swiping left. As in, moving to the screen to the right. There, you have the function thumbs, and it was in the top left (first) on that screen.

Hello Paul I am 21 year's old and in the USA and I appreciate the review of the brand new 2022 V90 as me and my parents just recently picked up my fully optioned out brand new and custom online ordered / built and priced 2022 $80,000 USD Volvo V90 Cross Country B6 AWD as my very first car. However my parents stated that I must pass my full driver's licence test successfully on the very first try and only then would they buy me any brand new car I wanted outright as long as it cost under $100,000 USD. I have also been looking for reviews on the new 2022 V90 but there just weren't any out on youtube before we ordered and paid for my new car and so I have been looking for a very detailed review of the new V90 wagon so thank you. And yes I know you did not specifically review the new 2022 V90 Cross Country trim but at least you reviewed something similar in trim level.

Got 2021 v90...its a joke doesn't even have a Web browser..volvo give you 7 pre loaded apps they have picked for you 😉

You are doing the wrong movement with your foot to close it. To close it you move your foot from side to side. to open it forward and back. Also, there is no point of taking the key out of your pocket. It is keyless. And the key is working like a beacon for the car so the car knows it you that opens it. Thats why it wont open when you do not have the key on you. Same thing with the doors.. Also, would be nice if you highlighten the difference between the 2021 and 2022 models.

Changes to the display are coming (along with CarPlay support). Q1 2022, fingers crossed...

Hi Paul, your feed-back is a valuable one, making me to think twice before placing the order for a new Volvo V90CC 2022. I'm curious, how's the returning procedure ran? Any promises from Volvo for solving the issues? Did they give you any insights about how they intend to mitigate the open points?

This is the reason why I never buy new/refreshed cars within their first year. After a year or two all these kind of issues are usually solved. However it shouldn't be this way. A new car should work flawlessly. Volvo hasn't taken their time to fully develop the system and that's also why they haven't integrated the driving modes etc. The XC90 is a prime example of this. The 2015-2016 Volvo xc90s had A LOT of problems but the ones from 2018,2019,2020,2021 are on par or above average in terms of reliability. I really hope you get compensated for the mess. Cheers.

I’m missing the old infotainment system! Got our XC60 R-design AWD a couple of days ago… where has the text messages tab gone? An anyone help with how I get me sms message in the car now? Also the drive modes… where are they? I can see the off road setting in settings but that is it?! Where’s dynamic and eco gone? Lol!

Terrible setup. Looks as though very little effort has been put into this. My XC60 order is not going to progress. Zero excuse for releasing this level incompleteness. Recently wrote to Volvo to ask them if these are early vehicle releases and what features we should have got with the MY22 vehicles as the dealer networks knew nothing. Still awaiting a reply from Volvo UK - radio silence, which I feel is an acknowledgement that this is wrong.😕

These issues have stopped me ordering a new XC60 to replace my current one. Not good for any manufacturer to release vehicles with capabilities and features that are simply not ready. Not impressed at all. I also hear the driver display is also very limited from a customisation perspective and I am no fan of what appears to be the new odometer and tachometer display either. Volvo are not cheap cars and this is tarnishing their reputation as a credible competitor to the German brands….. too many Chinese owner ‘values’ creeping in here I feel.🧐

I understand, you had the car for one week only, when you made this video. So bring the V90 back to the dealer for a re-calibration of the system. They might also check the negative connection on the battery. A lost or unstable connection can cause many funny faults. The battery itself can be faulty too and not up to full load. Missing features? You could take a look at the specs when ordering the car. It's not something the dealer has removed or stolen. Good luck and enjoy your Volvo!
