Directly asked to Abode… Now that you acquired Marketo will you sunset Adobe Campaign as the inferior product. Direct answer… we want Marketo for B2B and Campaign for B2C. However, in their own stack middleware is becoming king. Snaplogic is becoming the solution for transformation and routing ops (aka ETL) and a proprietary app called Campaign inspector (may have been renamed) is doing the build and deployment work. Now add in Ai (which they hadn’t last I heard) and the future is the complete off load if MOPS and Dev. The apps as we know them today will either be gone or items on a drop down in Workfront for low tech end users. Fast forward 5-10years tops. Prompt driven ticketing (ie. Jira) runs the input through the Agile process, building and deploying programs/campaigns/assets/workflows via Ai driven automation. Welcome to the future!

We have aws lake with s3 buckets and we are looking into using them as data source for our reporting in Power BI , however we now straggling with planning and developing sort of DW structure in lake for our organisation reporting needs. We don’t need to have a real time analytics , one a day is all we need. Creating sort of dimensions and fact tables DW like structure in lake is not looking good. I am wondering what would be your approach? Is getting aws DW the only solution or using lake as a DW is possible ? Thank you

The key to such implementation needs firm steer from Legal Counsel as to which martech technologies as Functional, Performance, Analytics, etc. This is a prerequisite. Vagueries can occur, examples include the view that GA is permitted (functional) but adding Custom Dimensions is performance, making for a tricky build. Definitely document what is agreed!

It seems like a lot of folks are afraid to talk about their experiences because they don't want to be on the legal hook for someone misinterpreting, but you guys handled it well. Sorry if I missed this- how does this no-cookie-identifiers approach for opted-out users handle the fact IP address (what Adobe uses as a fallback) is also considered PII? Is it as simple as using the "Replace the last octet of IP addresses with 0" report suite setting, and does that affect the solution you discussed at all?
I think visitor id (through fallback) happens before Adobe strips off the last octet or completely obfuscate the IP. Here are the settings we had for our client - www.screencast.com/t/jqcuZjns
