If you load the Photopea page and switch off your wifi connection, the app still works. It doesn't appear to actually upload the files. It's using them locally.

If you are working on a raw file in Affinity Photo you can choose the non-destructive editing option, the HSL filter is found as an adjustment layer, the fill method you used is incorrect, the correction brushes were used without softness, the hardness at 100%, bad technique, I recommend familiarizing yourself with the software before doing this type of review, Affinity Photo has an option similar to "content-aware fill" as found in Photoshop (not AI).

a contender with this camera to be strongly considered is the Canon G7x mark iii. Same censor, same megapixel, and cheaper.

Luminar Pro questions: 1. how is the RAW image support? Some RAW formats ( Fuji) depend on the 'understanding' of the image as it's not just a simpl rgb matrix as with most other cameras (hence the existence of irradient . 2. what are the organisation skills of the software? does it have EXIF filtering? 3. does export allow for applying signatures (transparent GIFs in particular)?

You obviously didn't spend a lot of time with affinity as you know so little about it

Nice! Can they do pass-through charging? I'm shopping for a battery for my CN-216 lights and want something that can be plugged in most of the time (since my lights usually live at my workbench for streaming) but has the flexibility to go mobile when I need to.

It is what i expected, darktable is not so good as you think. But i work with darktable for years and i won't miss it. Darktable could be so powerfull configured, and it could be so easy to use that you would not expected in that way. You can make presets and get presets from the internet for so many styles. You could make your own styles and with one click your image is ready. But this is not to archieve in minutes, that ist little bit of working with darktable and a little resarch in the internet. Go for it and read and search. You will be surprised. Sorry for this poor english, it is not my native language.

I actually only started using lightroom a little while ago I mostly used Phase one before and it just works s whole lot better with cap1 since it's made by cap1... Also tethered shooting with cap1 is just better

So your criticism of dark tables is that you which the advanced stuff was hidden. And because it's not hidden it's not usable. I'm sorry it doesn't make any sense. Just use what you understand, seems that is capable of doing the job.

I use capture one and Adobe photoshop. Capture one for color editing and skin tone editing and photoshop for retouching object removal etc Update tho there is AI masking and erasing now it’s just different from Lightroom’s

this video made me decide to take my rx100 on holiday with me next week, ill see how it compares to my Canon M50

Btw: Apple photos does have a spot remover. It is called retouch and is the bandaid logo. It’s pretty bad though

I have a full frame Sony A7 but I use my RX100 v and vii for all my vacation photos. The v is excellent but I broke down and bought the vii for the 200mm equivalent reach. It is very versatile and has the high end Sony sensor from their high end full frame, but having said that, I think the v has a better result in many situations. They are small enough to take both with me and use the same batteries. For an amateur they cost a lot but so does everything one needs/wants for full frame cameras too. At some point I’ll sell my full frame gear, just don’t feel like hauling it around anymore.

I have this camera as my daily carry. Gave me really good results in a concert that I recently went to.

Was curious to see darktable in here. I myself was using it while watching the video lol. I do admit, it's really overwhelming when you jump into it. But you really have to put in the time to create your own layout. Coming from Lightroom, it's really hard at first, but once you manage to get all your "most used" modules sorted out in a good way and you get a feel for it, it's not that bad at all! Can't say I don't hate myself for forcing myself to go more open source sometimes. x) Nice video, thanks!

Suggestion: if you're photographing people with pets/animals, maybe a good use for the button is to switch between animal and human detection.

Darktable: you can set your environment to different modes with different amount of tools normaly you dont work in the mode with all the (weird) tools

How did you get the peak design loops into your RX100? I have one but the lugs on it are too narrow for the peak deign loops to pass through!

Do you dig into the menu and re-setup the custom button when you start a new scenario (like, knowing you are doing a portrait, or changing to street photography)? I don't know why camera manufacturers make it so hard to change settings. We get a massive awesome mode dial, but we only ever use two of the nine options...why can't THAT be out scenario selector? Let me tell the camera I am doing a portrait, and not simple.... MANUAL.

sadly photoshop is better than everything else on the market. But things like affinity come pretty close and for that insane price difference its definitely worth a try

I’m still using my RX100 mkII simply because: hot shoe. I use it a LOT with OCF and am really bummed the newer gen RX100 omitted the mmi hot shoe. If the hot shoe returns to the RX100 series, I’ll finally upgrade.

Certainly it's a great pocket camer. I'm a sony a7iii shooter, i use my old Nikon P330 for daily and street photography. Sony rx100 will my my next pocket camera for sure

Darktable is awful and hacky, but once you get use to it and find your way/style, you just ignore all weirdness and actually have access to lot of powerful tools, I used to it, tho im programmer 😄

Ive got an rx100 vii which while i love it i dont use it much. I’m probably just spoilt for options as out and about I usually grab my g9ii with a 14-140 lens as I just love editing 10bit footage over the 8bit on rx100 cameras. I did get a waterproof housing for the rx100 which works great. It’s amazing having a 200mm lens underwater or for filming surfing. Although I don’t do it often……actually I’m gonna get my arse of the couch and head down the beach with it and a wetty. (Sunny coast qld) Cheers for the video man

I am a camera newbie and have been researching best camera for photos for vacation. I know nothing about color grading (don’t have the time to learn right now) and would love a compact camera with gorgeous photos right out of the camera. Every brand I look at has so many trade offs. I’m surprised the Sony RX100 VII only has a flip up screen vs. a screen that flips out. 😔

Another RX1000 fan. Great! I got hooked on with the ZV1 and now have an RX 100VII as side, I guess the V is like a mix between the two.

It´s a little compact camera, nothing special. I would leave it at home and bring a true camera at any time.

Thanks but Ive rented and shot with several of these pocket cameras and even owned a few, I still see zero reason to pay the money they want for them over using my iPhone 15 pro max. I can run different apps that simulate anything from a disposable camera and a Polaroid up to classic rangefinder and MF cameras. They even have an app now that looks like the top of a Fuji camera with all the mode dials giving you full manual control. It also has all the Fuji film simulations like Classic Chrome, Classic Neg etc...and you can make your own recipes in the app. I also get a 13mm-120mm focal range and I can share anything I want right from my phone. On top of that, I can shoot 4k 60P video in ProRes with excellent IBIS. I can also connect my phone directly to any number of portable printers I have and then shoot and print photos anywhere and give them to people. Smartphones are just far more versatile and you already have one in your pocket.

Love my RX100, it fits on my belt and it doesn’t look like a “big” camera, obviously it’s not and people ignore it not knowing it has big camera performance BUT nothing feels as nice as larger format cameras.

I had difficulty putting the PD Anchors inside this camera small landyard hole. How did you do it?

How’d you get the peak design connectors to fit on your rx100 ? I emailed Peak design and the rep told me to buy metal links or something to make them attach. While before I thought they made smaller connectors that fit through if you emailed them about the problem.

I went with the mark 7 for a b cam to my a7s iii and got the g7x mark ii for photos. All of them are capable and I have fun shooting with all my cameras :)
