OMG... I just discovered this channel and it is truly a service to humanity (and bees : ) The Advoko video laid the groundwork for this but your in-depth practical tips on how to actually build the hives and care for its occupants is what newbees like me need to get off our butts and get moving. I'll be spreading news of this channel far and wide in hopes that beekeeping will become as common an urban pastime as gardening. Don't give up on us... THANKYOU!!! .

I had a lot of problems making the tube and sealing it in the hole. I finally found that using a mini glue gun with the switch set to low temp (with dual temp hot glue) allowed me to glue and seal the tube without distorting it. Worked perfectly and was super easy. I was able to seal a quarter of the tube in the hole at a time and it cooled off pretty fast, so I got the sealing done pretty fast and way better than my first attempt. Seems to hold well too.

The tray set shows out of stock at Walmart. Hopefully it hasn't been discontinued.

Bottle Beekeeping is gaining attention. I think there will be significant developments in the technique. You are ahead of the pack. Your analysis on the pros and cons and what you would change would be so helpful.

I came here to see a more in depth tutorial on making bottle beehives after watching Advoko makes video. I would encourage you to continue making updated videos about the bees. If people are going to implement your system they want to see successful beehives and ultimately the harvesting of the honey. It’s obvious you put a lot of effort to create videos of the build process. It would be a shame if you stopped now and would make your series incomplete. I appreciate all the detailed videos to date.

Never did put any ventilation at the bottom, I thought those vents at the bottom also helped with excess moisture/drainage.. I'm building a bottle beehive and will try putting one vent at the bottom. Thanks so much for your videos. You do amazing work.

p Please don't stop on the bottle bee hives! I find them very educational and look forward to more. Trying the 5 gallon rectangular design, but have questions about bottom vent/s and top bar construction. Please please keep making tutorials, chances are most people don't ask but secretly want to ask. Thank you for what you have done so far :)

This video teases that there are many reasons to flip the bottle over, but where is the video explaining them all. One video mentioned stability. But where is the one explaining better drainage? How about letting mites out? This tease does not seem to have any follow up. Did I miss the videos?

What dimensions are used for "The appropriate sizes slots"? Can you just put an excluder on one mason jar? The videos I see are for a whole panel of jars. Thanks for the whole series by the way.

curious, could you use a traditional brood box on the bottom and then mount the honey super bottles on top? seems like it might be easier vs making frames for the bottles. then you could use a similar mounting system that you're using for the landing area to attach the bottle to the brood box.

Thank you for these great and easy to understand videos. I only have one question about the hot glue. I live where temps are a hundred plus in the summers. I am concerned that this won't hold up and bees may get trapped in the glue. Have you had any trouble with this issue?
