    Sick ride!

    Sir,
    Fantastic setup! When you perform an oil change on your car, did you ever smell gasoline in your oil? Due to the overlap of this cam? What is you air/fuel ratio? Thank you.

      @RedBird2.0  4 роки тому

      Nope no noticeable gasoline smell. I do change my oil pretty frequently though (between every 1000-2000 miles depending on how its been driven). I do have a buddy that is on e85 that when he changes his oil, there is a noticeable amount of fuel mixed with oil. But that seems to be the nature of the beast with e85. My air/fuel is roughly 12.5 when wot.

    How are you liking this combo? Planning on doing the same heads/cam this spring

      It has been great for me. I haven't yet been able to feel the full potential (quarter mile wise) bc the stock clutch has been slipping ever since I dynoed the car. It does great from a roll.

      RedBird that’s awesome! How many miles are on your stock clutch? Are you local to Columbus? I saw the Ohio tags and it looks like you’re at Dyno tune motorsports in this video.

      @@Easley14 the car has 20k miles on the stock clutch and 5k of those miles have been with the heads and cam installed. And yep I live in Dayton. Dyno Brian is the man lol

      RedBird RedBird yeah Brian is definitely a good guy! I’ve worked with him in the past. It’s nice to know someone is somewhat local that has a similar setup with good results. I try and go to a Dayton C&C at least once a summer, maybe I’ll see you up there.

      @@Easley14 definitely! Best of luck with your install. My buddies and I go to the Columbus Cars and coffee when its held at Byer's and we'll be at street car takeover as well. Hope to see your car!

    what was the weather and elevation like during the runs?

    • @RedBird2.0
      @RedBird2.0  5 років тому +1

      Temp was 40-50 degrees and the DA was roughly -500 to 0 between the first and last runs on the Dyno

      @@RedBird2.0 sounds like a slightly lower reading Dyno.
      What did it run in the quarter

    • @RedBird2.0
      @RedBird2.0  5 років тому

      @@mrmeadowsiscool the dyno is actually right on par with the cars that the company I bought the heads and cam combo from; they're called race proven motorsports out of Delaware. My car has a stock throttle body and stock intake manifold. My car still has the stock clutch as well, which did slip on a couple of dyno pulls.

    • @RedBird2.0
      @RedBird2.0  5 років тому

      @@mrmeadowsiscool Best quarter mile time is 11.2 at 134mph. The poor stock clutch slips during the whole run. New clutch coming this spring and hopefully will see better results.

      Did you have rpm build it too?

    Did you ever research any other cam specs? I always wonder if there’s anything better than the b3.

    • @RedBird2.0
      @RedBird2.0  3 роки тому

      I looked into BTR's cams and a few others but always came back to the b3. Bc with rpms heads, it was the only consistent and repeatable combo I saw that was making 600whp and up n/a, and with the stock intake manifold.

    • @wesleybeeson1818
      @wesleybeeson1818 3 роки тому

      I agree. I’ve just wondered if the slightly downward dip in torque that you see on rpm dyno graphs could be improved upon. Probably not without sacrificing top end power.

    • @RedBird2.0
      @RedBird2.0  3 роки тому

      @@wesleybeeson1818 idt the dip is to much cause for concern. I just looked at my dyno graphs and they have the most sure of dips at 6400 on one run and 6500 on the other. But the dip lasts for less than 100rpms and only dips maybe 5hp max. I have also never once felt that while wot, in any gear. For what it's worth.
