Extinction of the Daleks - An Original Doctor Who Animation
Переглядів 65 тис.3 роки тому
In the shadows of a war torn planet and the depths of an Imperial base, a great power is quietly devising the course of Dalek history. But in a universe where one must evolve to survive, how powerful is The Eternal, really? Extinction of the Daleks is an original Doctor Who fan animation I have been working on for the past few months, its original inspiration sparking for my wish to animate som...
Doctor Who - Extinction of the Daleks - Trailer

A trailer for my upcoming animation. Extinction of the Daleks is a single 10 minute short film animation, planned for release in November. Upon a planet at war, the Dalek's victory is not all it seems. An intimidating figure, hidden in shadows, warns the future of the Daleks is not secure. If they do not retreat, they will be destroyed. But who really is this figure and do they identify themsel...
Doctor Who - The Daleks Masterplan - Dalek Animation

Finally complete - my animation of a few scenes from The Daleks Masterplan. Now in hindsight, I probably should have animated scenes from missing episodes of this 10/10 story, but the ones I chose to do are just so iconic, I couldn't help myself. I started this animation about 3 months ago now, and its hit so many issues along the way. The final product, I'm mildly happy with. There are so many...
Doctor Who - Jo Martin Fugitive Doctor Title Sequence - Series 13
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
A concept title sequence for a potential series with the lovely Jo Martin as the Fugitive Doctor. Mainly did this because the Fugitive Doctor always striked me as having the potential to be this lovely mix of classic and new Who. Sort of a shame that its unlikely for her to be cast as the next main Doctor :( Twitter: foglemiester
Doctor Who - Spare Parts - Cyberman Animation

An animation of the chilling audio story Spare Parts by Marc Platt! Basically my first competent attempt of modelling, rigging and animating a humanoid figure, and even so I'm not terribly convinced with this one... I think other aspects like the lighting save it to an extent though! Twitter: foglemiester

Doctor Who - Dalek 3D Model Timelapse - Blender Tutorial/Timelapse
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
A quick timelapse of the modelling process of the sort of Daleks I use in my animations. This one was modelled after a Mark 3 Shawcraft prop, which were used in pretty much all eras of the classic series - probably the sort of thing most people think of when they hear classic Dalek! The plans were taken from the Project Dalek forum's free guides. If you haven't already, I strongly recommend sup...
Doctor Who - The Time of the Daleks - Dalek Animation

Another weird little animation for such a weird scene from the woefully overlooked The Time of the Daleks from my personal favourite run of anything Doctor Who! The production on this video has been tumultuous and frustrating; having to render the scene almost 4 times and waiting hours for files to transfer between my computers, it was not a plesant experience, but what I've ended up with I'm v...
Doctor Who - Scream of the Shalka - Title Sequence Remake

Here's a quick and fun one! The Scream of the Shalka title sequence has always been up there for me, despite its limitations! Its got such a funky theme and the visuals have a lot of potential. Even if some of them are lacking, certain effects like the TARDIS are extremely impressive for an early 2000s Flash Animation. With this rendition, I hope to reinvigerate some life into the sequence and ...
VFX Breakdown - Doctor Who Blood of the Daleks Animation
Переглядів 1,8 тис.3 роки тому
A quick VFX breakdown of my recent Blood of the Daleks animation! This also acts as a bit of a breakdown for my other Dalek animations as similar techniques are generally used. The film was rendered with Blender's biased Eevee engine, and though obviously that is far more inferior in comparison to Cycles, I like to challenge myself by pushing the engine to its limits! Trying to make the scene e...

    Bro cooked this masterpiece...honestly this is impeccable work! Good to see you back. I prefer using Substance Painter to texture my 3d models as well, as I find Blender's material nodes kind of cumbersome.

      @therealcrizz2719 8 місяців тому

      I used to use material nodes for everything as I didn’t have access to Painter before university. It’s a powerful system but you can’t achieve the same procedural masking you can in Painter with that much ease.

    Okay, short first comment aside… It’s really nice to see you diversifying your content and work. While I’m a massive fan of all your Dalek stuff, I’m super happy for you branching out and working with new software. I think this is incredible for just a month’s worth of work on this application. It’s a really nice set-piece for the new Doctor and, if they make a Doctor Who video game for Ncuti: you deserve to be on board for the modelling! Also hope uni is going well for you. I can imagine it’s quite the busy life you lead - especially as someone just about to enter into uni… I’m hoping there’s enough free time to work on personal projects coz oh boy… feels like it’s gonna be a huge portion of my life for the next 3 years. With that being said, if you have the time of course, I’d like to ask you if you’d be interested in a potential modelling commission. If not, all good - no worries. But if so, may I email you with specifications, information etc?

    • @therealcrizz2719
      @therealcrizz2719 8 місяців тому

      That means a lot to me!! I know some of the things I said in the commentary may come across as resentful to my work on this channel but I am proud of a lot of it, and I’m super grateful for considerate and kind people like yourself. Despite my degree being lighter on work than a lot of others, it can still be very all consuming. You’ve just got to set boundaries and make sure you give yourself time for personal things, anything from full projects to even a day off to play games or whatever other hobbies you have! In terms of commissions, I sadly can’t make any promises but please email me and I will try my best to get back to you!! Good luck with your studies, I will keep an eye on your channel to see what you get up to in the next few years! Thank you very much for the kind comment.

      @@therealcrizz2719 Oh no I don’t think so. There’s a lot of work that I’m not proud of, wish I hadn’t invested time in and so forth.. but overall I’m pleased with everything I’ve done, so I get what you’re saying completely. Also, glad to hear that. It always makes me feel like a slacker when I take time off to have gaming seshes and so forth.. but it’s true that it’s important to enjoy yourself as well as work hard. Happy to have that reinforced, as I need to hear it 😂. And no worries! I get not everything can be committed to, but I’ll shoot you over a message anyway. Hope it’s intriguing. Thanks man, take care <3
