Andor is good. The Mandalorian is (mostly) good. But how did we get to this "Golden Age" of Star Wars television? By going through A LOT of rough patches along the way. Subscribe for more like this, exploring the less documented corners of your favorite fandoms.

Yeah, I know I sound like a goober in this. Try to enjoy it anyway it still makes me money ;) A comprehensive exploration at the mythical "Lost Cut" of the original Star Wars. Featuring rare footage, audio and behind-the-scenes information. ('4K77' Project used for theatrical footage) Instagram: filmspaced?hl=en Twitter: FilmSpaced
ive seen this movie when it originally released in theaters, and there are so many scenes I misremember because i've primarily watched the DVD & digital releases. I didn't realize how much more was added later. And ive never seen the deleted scenes.
Anybody else like JEJ's voice in Rebels and Rogue One better than the originals? I feel like his experience with the role and the lower tone gave the character a darker and more intimidating feel to him. But hey, all of his VO were good. RIP legend 🙏
now this is podracing!
im realising just now anakins pod racer sounds like an f1 car from the v10 era
Whether you like the prequels or hate them we can all agree on two things. 1. The sound design was amazing. 2. The podrace was awesome.
Thank you James, rest in power
it's a really good reason for people to watch and understand something you are very passionate about might not be good on your first draft or cut of a film or video. It's important to keep at it and ask people what do they think, don't be stubborn or think they're all crazy for not understanding. Take what they say and try to change it to get the reaction or response on first viewing that you were looking for. I'm sure George loved what he created and wanted to fit in as much as he could but it was going to be too much for general audiences to grasp in just 2 hours. You always need to be thinking what does this scene offer to the story, does it move the plot forward, or foreshadow something later to come, does it tell us something new about our characters or give us information on what they are thinking. Bottom line is George surrounded himself with people to help him fix a lot of issues with the film and it's good he did listen to them otherwise Star Wars would never have taken over the world.
UPDATE: I like Rogue One now. You guys can all shut up about it.
I like Anthony Daniels as C-3PO
I like Frank Oz as Yoda
I like James Earl Jones as Darth Vader
Well now I understand why everyone who had the DVD when I was a kid complained about how long the podracing sequence was. I wasn't exactly happy my parents bought the VHS (which evidently had the theatrical cut on it) back in the day, but I guess I should be thankful.
R.I.P
Not a Rogue One fan. I'll peace out here. ;)
This long version really reminds me of Flåklypa Grand Prix (1975). The race in that one is still good as well.
RIP JAMES EARL JONES!!!
Now, James Earl Jones is one with the Force. RIP 🙏
He really made Darth Vader something to be afraid of. Something that you don't wanna F with.
Can't believe we lost James Earl Jones. R.I.P.

People really think the prequels are better than Star Wars today? Thats just plain ridiculous.
99 look better
1:23 did he just say elon musk?
As I always said: George Lucas is very imaginative, an amazing worldbuilder and a genious in direction. But it's a terrible writter.
what a trash movie
deleted = best color tone, disney + best picture
1:23 almost sounds like "elon musk"
You are missing one. There's a version of this race in Viva Las Vegas where Elvis is the driver.
Now THIS is podracing Now THIS is podracing Now THIS is podracing Now THIS is podracing
Excellent video. Wasn’t Koo Stark a contender for the part of Leia at one point?
The colorgrading in the theatrical version is so much better and fitting for the desert enviroment.
Absolutely love the introduction of all the racers in the deleted scenes. That is some good exposition in my book.
Still the coolest thing ever
1:23 Elon musk?
RIP Ratts Tyerell, the family man.
In theater we say “louder faster funnier” it usually improves things.
Was hoping to se the extended grappling hook scene. I saw this growing up somewhere; Han has 3 grappling hooks, he misses with the first then hit hits with the second one. Had a cool shot looking DOWN the chasm too. Where could/would I have seen this?
No wonder people hated the 1999 version
So Red 3 (Biggs) had a more important role than what most of us saw.
now this is podracing!
I want a complete version with everything and all deleted scenes and all

this is the core root of all my trust issues JUST PICK ONE VERSION OF A FILM AND RELEASE THAT WE DONT NEED HIDDEN VAULTS OF LIES 30 YEARS LATER
Why does it bother me that they make realistic car sounds, gear shifting and everything, when they are jet engines that should sound nothing like that.
Yeah it's like they copy pasted an F1 race sound track over a fighterjet show.
