Watching what happens when I play major scale groupings on guitar to a click. More graphs, no idea what they mean... learning :)

Rule of the Octave & Bass Motions improv based on the changes from 'Recuerdos de Alhambra'
Переглядів 348 місяців тому
Along with slowly adding scale degrees to learn improvising over I'm also improvising over the "changes" from existing pieces (using a preluding pattern for this one) using 'Rule of the Octave' shapes. It's still pretty shocking how many R.O shapes make up many of the grips in guitar literature. And, apart from the genius and style of each individual composer, you can feel R.O to be a shared la...
Rule of the Octave & Bass Motions improv over scale degrees 1 & 6

Limiting this to 1 ( '7 of 1') & 6 ( '7 of 6') Adding scale degrees in terms of bass motions feels like an organized way to go about improvising over Rule of the Octave & Partimento. Sticking to a rhythmic motive helps to reduce the 'stumbling around' thing. Gotta learn to breathe while playing as well think that will reduce my fingers from playing extra notes I don't want to play (it's so easy...
Muse2: Root + intervals on top
Переглядів 5310 місяців тому
Trying out the Muse2. No idea how to use this at all, or what the Muse Lab readings are showing but diving in anyway. Tuned the guitar to A444, playing the root C4, and playing different intervals on top to see what happens to the EEG sensor graph lines of course no friggin' idea what I'm looking at (going to start learning about these) #muse2

Getting closer. The Scott Tennant idea of lasers through your fingers is pretty helpful!

Amazing, this proves partimenti is not only for "historical" improvisation.

Very helpful thanks

Nice work, sir! I too am a guitarist who is going through Dr. Mortensen's material. I found your video through your post on the community forum. We should talk or do a podcast together or something. Cheers!
Cool, we need more guitar players figuring this stuff out :)
Nice job
Thanks :)
Great composition, really enjoyed it.
Thanks :)
