For the price they should have included all the minifigs

I just bought this one. I found it to be a great set. It does look nice next to the X-Wing.

The scaled down version just doesnt look right....

I just bought this one and I agree with you about the price tag. But I like that it comes with Anakin Skywalker.

As someone who owned and loved the 2010 version, this is objectictively a good set and the 3 pilots feels like a callback to the 2005 version. Nostalgia aside there is still a feeling that the build itself is a downgrade even if the s-foil mechanism is improved. Good overall though

I also occasionally buy doorables.

I also don't like stickers. I can never seem to line them up correctly. Side note: I love your nail color. it's so pretty!

I'm glad I purchased this because I didn't get one of the older sets. But too many stickers, small wings, and no landing gear. This is beyond over priced.

I really like the look of this one and don’t mind that it’s scaled down from the earlier models, but at that price point, the sticker and print quality needs to be way better to justify it. The prints and stickers are fully different colors from what they’re supposed to be, it’s really disheartening to see. I would get this at $50, but definitely not at $70.

Had to get one since I couldn't afford one as a youngling. Even with inflation I'm glad they remastered this overpriced masterpiece 😅

After 5 or 6 videos about the ARC-170, just now I realized that in scale compairs with the X-Wing, which in "real" life, should be a lot bigger (in the wingspan I mean). Thanks for the fotage and for the review :)

I never owned the 2010 version, but I did own the 2005 version as a kid. I like that the clone pilots are more accurate. 2005 used V-wing pilots. I like that the astromech is green. Back in 2005, any astromech that wasn't R2-D2 was just red instead. I like that it has the lower tail gun, 2005 only had the upper one. I like the new way of locking the S-foils. The rubber band method made it less "fluid. " As for what I don't like, the guns are way too small. I also don't like that they took away the feature where you pull the back handle, and you can drop 2 blue cylinder proton torpedoes. To my memory, 2005 also did not use any stickers.

I do like the ARC-170 and will certainly be buying it in the future, as I missed the orginal run of this model (I'm not making that mistake again!)

Great review. I got this set also because I did not have the older versions. I agree with you for sure about the cockpit stickers. It is a good set with great minifigures.

So weird that this set is 400 something pieces at $70, but there's Darth Vader ship that has 600 something pieces at $50.

Great review, Jean! I appreciate having the perspective of someone who is more of a newcomer in this space and doesn't look at everything through a super nostalgic lens. Given your review of this set, I think I'll be fine letting this one drop $10 - $15 in price before buying. It's cool, but I don't think it's an immediate must-have for me.

Honestly the Prints an posters are my favorite things in the collection and all the real life Sabers. Maybe slow down a bit panning around what your showcasing.

My only complaint with this set is I wish the pages in the booklet were in white as apposed to grey but the model itself is great
