Yes, it is a soft cover book, perhaps if she gets a lot of sales, they might release as hard cover and surely I will get that too! Just to keep it intact. I do not mind the soft cover as I find this is a "field work" book. Meaning it will show how much use it has gotten and well, maybe in a few years time, it will show it was also well loved. ♥♥♥

Hello! Yes, some pigments can be a huge dent in the pocket. That is why I haven't gotten certain ones I am very interested in but at around 18 dollars is a bit much, so I am waiting. Am I understanding you make your own watercolors using pigments? I love both smooth and granulating colors. But there's a lot of people who does not like the granulation, which I personally love. BTW I am saving for that big ticket number. If by the time I have what it takes to get I am still interested, then I will buy it, otherwise, I just turn the page. I won't die if I don't have a pigment, so you are completely correct on this point! ♥♥♥ Thanks so much for sharing!

Graham colors, I purchased the colors in tubes and then placed them in half pans. :) I was wanting to see how they dried and how they re-wet :) ♥♥♥ The Daniel Smith Palette came in half pans (the blue set) 😍 My niece in Colorado! Hello @nanciecook9412 ! Thank you for your interest. My palette is a simplified palette by M. Graham. I purchased the colors individually. The colors are: Nickel Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Violet (which I did not use for this), Anthraquinone Blue, Olive Green, Quinacridone Rust, Maroon Perylene, Terra Rosa and Sepia. I mixed all these colors randomly really, and the only one not used was Quin Violet. Hope this helps! ♥ This limited palette is quite beautiful and earthy. I will be adding only three more colors to this sometime soon, and those colors will be Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber to complete this earth palette. M. Graham surprised me immensely. These color are amazing. Hope you like them. ♥

Saludos! Yo tampoco utilizo el blanco, pero muchos lo utilizan para color pastel. Los negros para mi son importantes, mucho mas que el blanco en una paleta de color. Aunque se pueden lograr mucho verdes hermosos sin negro, este color en particular con amarillos es increible y como bien dices, un poco con sombra tostada hace sepias hermosos. I'm so glad that the videos are helpful! I consider myself a super beginner as well, since my career has been in a different medium. But this journey with watercolors we are all together in it ♥ Tumuarta was good for this kind of painting, but I did try it later on (after this video) and did not perform as well. It's not a bad paper, better than most for the price tag, but I find that I keep going back to Arches every time, and after that would be Baohong or Hahnnemule.

Thank you so much and I will sure relay your message to her later on today, since we usually speak daily! She loved them! Everything I sent and, to my surprise, she hit them running, to the point that I was so impressed with the paintings she has done! Who would've thought she had a hidden talent! Up to this point she never dabbled with paints or creative things. She's the analytical mind of the three sisters. But, after seeing what she has done, I think all three of us inherited skills from my father. As a matter of fact, her eldest daughter graduated from Pratt and is a wonderful artist. So very proud of her. So in terms of the empty nest, she has her ups and downs, however, with thanksgiving she got to see the twins and knowing they are doing well, has given her a new perspective about them starting their own journeys. They will also be coming back for Christmas break so that is something she is looking forward to. Overall, I think the painting and having them come around in during school breaks has been a belssing. ♥♥♥

Hi Cher! I am so happy to read that you overcame the sadness and that life is now looking up again. I can imagine, the sacrifice parents do for their children, but honestly, I think grandchildren are the most beloved ones, so I think that what you went through, particularly because raised him, was even more strongly felt because of this bond. I am happy to hear that he is in driving distance and that he comes often! That is a plus! But yes, sometimes, the smallest of things, like the car in the driveway, can be most difficult ones because they creep up unexpectedly. Even scents can be triggers. But yes, it's just a new adjustment and as you say, a year down the road everything is getting back to normal and life is shining again. I can't wait for you to use your 2x2 sketchbook, you will love. And... about the spending ;) I am the same way, but do give yourself just a small budget each month to buy 1 thing that you love the most of all things you see in youtube. I tend to love everything I see and sometimes buy a lot and then never use it. So make lists, and really see if you need that particular thing in your life and if you will use it. If yes, of course get it and enjoy it. But if the answer is no, just leave it alone. We are packing to move and I agree with sitting aside a budget to buy ONLY what I truly need or will use. I am almost sick to my stomach on the amount of scrapbooking paper and other miscellaneous items that I am having to throw away. I was hoping a local school or library would benefit from these items but they weren’t interested. I now wish I had all of that money back. I am watching as many of your videos as possible. Like yourself, I am slowly but surely collecting them, and many of these colors I have not even opened to try them out live, but that would turn out to be such a long video! I never thought I could find such joy in these colors, but I truly have. Haha! I am not yet close to 200, I don't think! @@sundayberries Hello from rainy and cold Vienna 😃💦💨 I think the biggest challenge is to avoid buying other colors from other brands...I missed that and now I am addicted...to paint tubes, brushes, paper, pencils, UA-cam and Pinterest. 😅 But as you said...it all makes me happy and the best is to have it all around me when I feel creative...every day. I love sitting in my studio-it`s my happyplace. Do you have your own creative heaven?

Hope rainy and cold isn’t too bad! I love rainy cold days but too much of it can turn monotonous 😀! I do prefer tubes over pans, but I suppose that’s because I don’t paint outdoors. In terms of my happy studio space , I have one room dedicated to my acrylic paints and then a second room for watercolors and filming. I do paint with watercolor in my acrylic’s room when not filming. The best thing is to be surrounded by your work, nice music and inspiration to create! ♥️♥️♥️

About ten years ago I found my way back into my creativity and I don`t want to miss one single day. I am interested in many things such as colored pencil, graphite, ink, paper art...working with different mediums brings me so much joy. I love, love, love the dark months of the year when it`s cold outside and the rain drops on my studio window...this is my time. It seems I have the most ideas for new projects and most of the time they are full packed of colors🥰 To see other people enjoying all this wonderful art supplies and of course the happy places makes me also happy. Sometimes, it is hard with life getting in the way, but surely we continue on. Most of my professional art career I have dedicated to mixed media, mostly incorporating to acrylic and oils, but nearly two years ago, I decided to also try with watercolors, and this world has me completely fascinated, even though I still feel like a fish out of water. So much to learn! But, if there is one thing I have done all my life has been to learn, discover and implement. I like the fact that I can move between mediums when I am feeling uninspired by one and almost always, I find that the other drives me back to the first. I grew up around art, really, how about you? I gather that you were involved with art prior to the last ten years, what did you do and what kept you away?? Glad to know you are back and I am excited to find a kindred spirit. I know what it is to stop and return as well. ♥ Hope you are well.
