Ozark Trail $10 D2 Knife
Переглядів 6774 місяці тому
This new Walmart knife is getting lots of attention due to being a crossbar lock with a D2 steel blade. I try it out and discover that it is very good, especially for the money. I did find a couple of things that are bothersome. Still a great value in a cheap knife. 3.25" blade, 4.25 injection molded handle, 7.5" overall. At the end I show a progression of Ozark Trail knives I own, and many of ...

Hoping to find some late fall colors in the Sacramento Mountains of south East New Mexico. First a stop at a brewpub for lunch. A short hike into the mountains, then back to village. Stopped to look at an interesting snow machine on the way. A walk through Cloudcroft, then pie and coffee!

Yeah, but I have a few other knives that fill that niche. :-) It does seem to be smoothing out with lots of playing with it though. It's so popular, I could probably sell it for $12 and make a profit! :-)

Picked mine up today. It came razor sharp an smooth as can be. I've never handled a bugout either but this knife in d2 is well worth it. Cut a bunch of cardboard various thickness an it's still hair shaving sharp.

Yeah, it's definitely impressive for $10. I haven't cut any cardboard yet, will have to try that. One guy claimed he cut cardboard for 7 hours, I think, before it was dull.

I grew up in Tularosa. There are some really beautiful places that the ditch water runs through. The house I grew up in had a head gaye that would fill up enough to get in the water in the summer and play around when we were kids. You could hear the water running outside of my bedroom window. There were a lot more trees back in fhe 70s and 80s. Some streets were dark. Almost like driving through a tunnel. Beautiful town.

Beautiful hike. I feel as if I'm there on the trail. That disgraceful janitor looking at child porn realized he could be caught. So he told the Sunspot director a lie that everyone was in danger from a killer with weapons in the woods coming to kill employees. Director shut down Sunspot, called authorities. FBI sent agents up the quickest way possible - helicopters. After the investigation, the janitor was arrested and charged. Anyway, love your hike.

I had an interesting conversation yesterday with a guy whose family ranch was taken to create the test site. The McDonald's ranch house where part of the bomb was assembled was actually his uncles house. His own family was allowed to return in 1947, with cattle. There were four people present whose family had ranches in the area. They all had stories to tell.

I mentioned that it comes from a river north of town that attracted the original settlers. The water that flows is diverted by property owners and used to water landscaping, so it ends up soaking into the ground. I'm testing a couple of mics to improve the sound. Thanks for the comment.
