This channel was created to share my passion for well crafted wristwatches and to help people see what a watch looks like in the real world. I focus mainly on Swiss made watches, especially the less well known brands such as Eterna, Edox, Ball, Certina, Eberhard, Mido and more.
I try to keep my reviews waffle-free but informative and straight to the point.

One of the main reasons I got this was the wrist-strap. I've never seen anything like it and I love how flexible and well-built it is. I'm surprised at how annoyed you were by it.
An excellent comprehensive review Dave. Thank you very much.
There are a few hundred mentally sick people who take their frustrations out on UA-cam - watches, firearms, pocket knives, you name it… these haters are completely irrelevant. I have a Rolex GMT Master II and a Steinhart black Ceramic 42 and compared to my beloved Rolex, for 29 times less money the Steinhart is perfect.
Very nice collection, IMO I will choose the Edox Neptunian, or the Certina DS. Longines is very good but too classic for me..
Good choice! Thanks for watching.
SQUALE: Poor quality - awful customer service Hey fellow watch enthusiasts. I’m a collector since more than two decades. In all honesty: Dealing with Squale has been the worst experience of my journey. Here’s my story: I purchased a Squale 1521 Blue Blasted leather straight from their website. Right after unpacking I put it on - just to find out that the watch doesn’t work. Broken right out of the box. So I went to their website to find out how to get in touch with customer service (good luck with that) and to clarify their procedures. It took them a full week even to get back to me. And then a process started, that I can frankly only call some form of BS-bingo from Squales side. Frustrating from the beginning to the end. At the end of the day I sent the watch back on my expenses and it took Squale another two weeks to refund me. In a nutshell: 1000ish plus taxes for a mechanical Swiss watch from a brand with heritage might not be a steal but a deal to consider. However, 1200 bucks in total for a watch that doesn’t work and weeks of pure frustration due to “customer service” that I perceived as ignorant, sloppy and slow is what I call an absolute no go. It fact I am so fed up with Squale, that it motivated me to write this comment and to share my experience. Please decide for yourself, if what I described is what you are willing to put up with. Have a great day!
Q. What colour are the applied indices and hands?
I am from South India, skin colour black, with a 16.5 cm wrist. Would you pls advice me regarding the bezel colour and case size. I am confused between bezel sizes 39 and 41 and colours matt green and grey.
Love that watch but not that bracelet.
Thanks for watching.
Ooooooo la la !
Thanks for watching.
Greeting from 🇮🇳 Here are few things I would love to share 1) its usually retails for around 160$ After discount which is a stellar deal 2) thanks to the pop of colours, this watch doesn't look like affordable replica of daytona or speedmaster 3) Its conversation starter for sure. People even inquired about “from where I got this watch custom painted”🤣
Thanks for sharing!
Omg!!! What a beautiful collection!!! It’s so rare to find someone on UA-cam who isn’t just a “collector” but rather someone who values and cares for their watches. Thank you sir
Thank you for showing your appreciation. Glad you enjoyed the video.
The best collection I've ever seen. I like your taste alot
Wow, thank you! 😊
Just received this watch. Beauty.
sure is 👍
i prefer the red numbers
Great video! Just pulled the trigger on this one. It comes across a really nice green in your video 👍
Nice 👍 - yes the green is lovely.
Good day, everyone! You know l've just baught the same type of Certina divers just in blue colour. But my one has one mm playback in any position you turn the bezel and when I make a slight push on it, the bezel also has a small backlash. After I discovered that, I came to the shop, and tried other certinas they all have the same thing. I'd like to know is that ok or not?
Hi - a little bit of play is okay, but it should still feel nice and tight overall.
@@wristwatchdave422 hi! It is about a small playback, and only in the left side from 12 to 6 point but it’s still seems to be tight and confident overall during turning. I don’t know if it would serve for a long time or it will get out of service soon because of this thing…
Such a beautiful collection. I was sure you were gonna have a Seamaster somewhere there too.
😄 - not in this video but I did actually review it in a later video. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/bAaj285ZuXA/v-deo.html What a stunning watch. 👍
I'm currently toying with the idea of the 600T. I need - want -a watch that is robust enough to handle an active lifestyle, but is also can 'dress up'.
The 600T is perfect for that! It is such a good all rounder.
@@wristwatchdave422 Brilliant feedback - thank you!
I would have bought it were it not for the case cover. Too difficult to open and regulate....
Doxa sub 200 also very high quality and sodiac super sea wolf also very good as well as squale also very gow so u had to add to this compression but sodiac 1695$ but trident pro 1095 $ christopher ward tide also has very good dial
Yes, they're all great too. I also reviewed the Doxa 200 - you can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/kcbr6zmQ20E/v-deo.html
Another Steinhart fan, here. It took over Hamilton as "my" brand. My O1C (42mm) gets beat like a rented mule. I have to bathe the poor thing rather frequently. Often the bracelet has to come off and go into my sonic cleaner at work. It's taken everything from chainsaw vibration, hammering, chopping, extreme heat and I took 25 kV through my left arm a few years ago. (Low amps obviously...but not low enough!) Threw me clean across the room. Watch was the only thing on me that apparently didn't feel a thing.
😄👌 brilliant - you sound just as tough and resilient as the Steinhart. Respect 👊
@@wristwatchdave422 I dunno, Man. Getting pretty old. Nerve damage, arthritis....I think the watch is a few steps ahead on this one. Hey. When I die, at least I'll know what time it is.
@@desertmoon66 😄👍
Why the Pagani Clomage of the Longines Spirit, and the Longines Spirit?
Curiosity and also so I could do a comparison video which you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/TfYKoUAKiNk/v-deo.html
I was going to get this for my big birthday! Lovely, but split pin links on a £2K + watch? WTF? Even San Martin use screw links as standard for as little as £140! No way am I buying this now!
It is a bit surprising to see that type of pin in a watch like this - but I wouldn't let that small detail put you off if you like everything else about the watch. The links are very slim so that might explain why they opted for split pins. Thanks for watching.
I'd totally buy it except for the VI and XII hour markers, otherwise it's a beautiful watch.
I know what you mean - Roman numerals aren't a great look on most watches.
I have a question regarding the month function, does the watch detect the 30 and 31 days for each month? (Hopefully 28 days for Feb) too.
I just purchased a old stock roamed from the 70s 120$ manual wind 36 mm Swiss made best bargain on earth
Enjoyed the video Dave. My wife just asked me what I wanted for Father’s Day and I replied, a Steinhart GMT Pepsi. However can’t decide on a 39 or 42 for my 7 inch wrist. Any thoughts?
That's a great Father's Day gift!👌 I think my wife will be getting me a Dominos pizza 😜. Anyway, I think the 39mm would be best. My wrist is also 7 inches and this 39 looks perfect. The 42mm will look a bit on the bulky side.
Thanks so much for the quick reply. Think I’ll order the 39.
Ordered the 39 Pepsi bezel on Monday from Steinhart and got it on Thursday, just in time for Father’s Day. Wow! Beautiful watch. Got it sized today, a couple of links removed. Thanks so much for the great advice and I am glad I listened. The 39 does fit and feel perfect. Make sure you get her to spring for an lorder of cheesy sticks with extra marinara sauce with that pizza. Thanks dude.
@@rickfouser1848 😄👍 Glad the watch arrived in time. The Pepsi bezel looks awesome - Nice choice. 👌 Happy Father's Day- I'm sure my loving wife will add the cheesy sticks if I ask nicely.😜
Is it grey or blue? I can confidently say it’s glue.
Yes - that's it!
What's your wrist size?
7 inches
Tengo este modelo de Seiko y me arrepiento de haberlo comprado ! Hermoso reloj pero es súper difícil de leer !
Indeed - I sold mine for that reason.
I repurchased a GMT after selling my previous version. I have the new Superman 500 GMT and I feel the quality is so much better than the previous version.
Nice - the new Yema watches are superb quality. Thanks for watching.
I have a Steinhart in the 42mm size. It is a really well made watch. I recommend the brand.
Nice - thanks for watching.
I have Steinhart Ocean One 39 blue(mother of pearl) ceramic. Stunning watch now discontinued. And I plan to get this black GMT. Unfortunately Steinhart don't offer the opportunity to choose the bracelet. Some models come with oyster and other with jubilee. And this one comes with oyster and I want jubilee, so I need to pay extra for the jubilee. And still having an oyster which will be unused. Yes, I can sell it but if feels unnecessary complicated.
Yes, it's shame they don't give the option to select different bracelets. Thanks for watching.
fantastic brand with outstanding history! the Searock series goes back to the 70's and each new design (except the newest) is lovely!
Indeed - Roamer are a very underrated brand. Thanks for watching.
My god!😮 This is not a collection! More like a...proper watch store's merchandise this is! 😅 Great watches! Love them all! Thanks for the video!
😅 thanks for watching.
Beautiful Dave! Been looking at Steinhart but never bought one, gonna have a look again. Never mind all the anti homage BS. Who really cares? This is a quality watch at a reasonable price that definitely makes more sense than falling for the Rolex hype.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching.
Your wrist size?
7 inches
Ese indicador de reserva lo ha matado 😏
My 1545 Atmos Classic has merc hands. It should also be pointed out that the case on the 1545 Atmos Classic is not a homage to Rolex. It is a reissue of the Atmos 25 watch case that was designed for Blancpain in the late 1950's - early 1960's. When compare to the Rolex 5512 - 5513 cases the Squale/Blancpain case is severely more substantial. It is little wonder that Rolex decided to homage the Squale/Blancpain in their five-figure rendition of the Submariner. Careful dude. Don't piss off us Squale fanboys...😡
"Careful dude"? - seriously? I am a huge fan of Squale as you can tell from the very positive review and also the other Squale watches I have reviewed on this channel, which are also hugely positive . So, the fanboys must be rather over sensitive if the Rolex homage reference pisses them off - but thank you for correcting me and providing that interesting and useful information. It's an important fact you stated, and I am glad it's the other way round as I am certainly no Rolex fanboy.
Do you know the exact model number or if it's still available?? I can't seem to find this exact color and bezel design. Thanks
Hi - the model number is; SN008GB
Sir let me teach you something….Gevril is a Swiss made brand 200 years old. They are well known watch brand in Europe with quality watches they make. You are a nut case comparing that with Steinhart garbage watch brand that worths $50
I really don't appreciate being called a nutcase. You don't know me at all. What gives you the right to abuse me this way?? Would you say that to my face? I'd be more than happy to give you the opportunity if you want. Anyway, I don't care if Gevril is 200 years old. The fact is that in my opinion, it is no better than the Steinhart watch which is not exactly an unfair comment. Steinhart is NOT garbage as you say. They are high quality Swiss made watches too. I have both the Gevril and Steinhart and am therefore fully qualified to give that opinion based on actual experience of both watches. Do you own both these watches? I do hope so, otherwise you have no basis to voice such an aggressive viewpoint.
The moment you compared Steinhart with Gevril you know nothing about watches. I definitely do not own Steinhart because I'm an adult and I don't buy toys. Gevril I own one watch only because I love the built and color. But I know the brand very well. I'm more of a Breguet and Rolex guy but I'll always buy a good watch if the price is right. Don't be so offended you made a public video and you talking nonsense so you need to expect there are people that know more then you and they will laugh listening what you talking.
@@canadarecordsofficial How can you be taken seriously when you don't have actual experience of a Steinhart watch?? They have the same Swiss movement as the Gevril - The Sellita SW200 - Steinhart are proper Swiss made watches just like Gevril and the build quality of Steinhart watches is of a very high quality equal if not better than Gevril. There is no part of the Gevril watch that is missing from the Steinhart - Sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, screw down crown, 200m water resistant etc, etc. I have absolutely no doubt, that anyone else who has handled both watches will agree with me. You are just making assumptions about a watch you have never owned. So how can you form a valid opinion about a brand you have no experience of? I am certainly NOT talking nonsense because everything I say is based on a lot of experience and knowledge of both watches. Why does it bother you so much anyway? It's weird.
This watch is so much more attractive than the pictures of it. I love the colored subdials. The band is so unique and sharp. Amazing job on this one Timex!
Great review, many thanks
My pleasure!
Those two roman numbers are stopping me from ordering it.
How can you time a dive if the pushers have to be screwed down?
Ehich color is better, color or panda? I have black&golden detailed version and want to grab one more but need to be not boring
Patek Philippe is absolute shit comparing to Ingersoll, Ingersoll is the best watch in the world, with a delicious buttery movement, true luxury, and it has a fucking lifetime warranty!
Que gusto ver una colección tan variada y con esa presentación tan peculiar y sobre todo fuera de estereotipos, todo un acierto.
Thank you - glad you liked it. 👍
Do you think is it ok for summer?
what year is this? i think i have found a model that came before this one!
