What is iPad? What is Newton? In case you didn't know Apple borrowed their own ad technique to give you a 30 second rundown of what iPad could do. Strangely enough, there are a few points that are quite similar to what was bragged about in the old "John Sculley era" What is Newton ad. I spliced both together just for kicks. First time I saw the iPad commercial, all I could think about was, "Wha...

I am so glad this is happening - born in the 70s, watched hockey growing up and even though 99 was considered “The Great One” he never impressed me the way Mario & Jaromir did. They are both the complete package in a way 99 never was - the same long arms and legs, the stick handling ability, Mario could score at will, Jaromir was The Human Highlight Reel and I never saw 99 have the kind of chemistry with any of his teammates that Mario and Jaromir had with each other on the ice. I never saw it before them, and I’ve never seen it since. Each, in their own way, oozed JFK level charisma. And us Pens fans were blessed to watch it for 11 seasons. With his 68 being retired Jaromir is finally back where he belongs

AT this point , Mario had 613goals and like 1475pts in 745 games in the NHL all this with cancer battle and a back surgury/infections that almost left him paralised... He is truly the Greatest Hockey player of all time.

I remember this game so well! I was DJing at a bar in Frederick MD & my one Caps buddy was there until we closed and I remember him saying you can race home to watch the end of the fourth overtime. I was like damn I can actually do that! (Only lived 10m away) I raced home, turned on the TV just to see Perter Nevada score! 😳🤦‍♂️ now the funny thing is of course I dislike the pens, but I always loved Petr Nedvěd. I was so glad he went to the Rangers, even though I don’t like the Rangers, but I dislike them less than the pens lol. Well, I finally got my joy in 2018 playoffs, game six! Kuzzy baby! I think I cried I remember, my brother calling me to say “unbelievable. We finally got past them” On to the cup!

7:25 I liked that Jordan mentioned the parallel between their careers... it's kinda mind boggling: * Both drafted in 1984 * Both rookie of the year in 1985. * Both won their first championship in 1991 and repeated in 1992 and won Playoff MVP both times. * Won first MVP in 1988. * Both won 3 All-Star game MVP, sharing in 1988. * Both were known as scoring champions who couldn't win championships initially. * Jordan has 10 scoring championships , Lemieux has 6. * Both have Olympic medals. Jordan was part of legendary 92 Dream Team while Lemieux was part of most exciting 1987 Canada Cup series and ended the 50-year Olympic drought in 2002. * Their most famous playoff scoring play was in Game 2 of the 1991 Finals where they both split the defense and moved the ball/puck from right to left before shooting. * Both took a 1.5 years off in early/mid nineties. Jordan for early retirement, Lemieux for his back. * Both came back in 1995 and tore the league up in the 1995-96 season for which they both won the scoring championship and MVP. * Both retired in late 90s that lasted a few short years before making a comeback in the early 200s. * Both became owners. I say Jordan is the better player because he was also stellar on defense and Lemieux was underrated but not a Selke Trophy winner. Lemieux is the better owner though.

Roche, along with Chris Wells really could have used a year or two in the minors. This was when the Pens were bleeding money, and kids like them were pressed into NHL action before they were really ready, imo.

    • @siobhanofarrell4646

Nope - the GOAT - is being confined to bed for months due to an infection in the bones in your back and returning to the ice to win back to back Stanley Cups, being DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER, missing 20 games I think undergoing RADIATION TREATMENTS and STILL being able to win the scoring race; retiring to spend between 3-4 years sipping wine and playing golf, then deciding to come back, practicing for 2 months and returning to be just as good as you were before - and that’s not even taking into account that his back pain was so severe he couldn’t lace his own skates, and his teammates (in their own words) said he would be in so much pain at times that he would be “writhing” from it. THAT is the GOAT.

leafyutube Possibly, but after Mario came back from chemo in 1993, he went on an absolute rampage to win the scoring title, then they choked away a 3-peat. In '96, they choked away at least another SCF appearance. I don't know how the '95 or '98 teams would have done with Mario, but they had their chances as is to be an incredible dynasty.
