Kayaking John D. MacArthur Beach State Park (2021)
Hello. My name is KAMAL 64 years old / Sorocaba/SP/ Brazil. I'm looking for a sneaker to use along with my NOVABLAST 3. I want to use it in the races I do from 16km/3af, 19km/4af and in the 6af/21 to 26km. I'm looking for a shoe that provides excellent CUSHIONING, DURABILITY and that allows me to do paces between 7.0 and 5.0. And that I don't hold back when I want to accelerate, especially in the final 3, 4 km, that helps development. Acquaintances gave these SUGGESTIONS; ⚠️NOVABLAST 4 ⚠️PUMA DEVIATE NITRO 3 ⚠️PUMA DEVIATE NITRO ELITE 3 ⚠️SUPERBLAST 1. CAN YOU give YOUR SUGGESTIONS? Thank you for your kindness.
@@yasbekvrum Kamal, thanks for watching! It sounds like you’ve got a clear idea of what you’re after, and your friend’s suggestions are spot on. I’d also recommend looking into the Superblast 2-I’ve been hearing fantastic things about it! I don’t have mine yet, but they’re on the way! 😊 The Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3 is definitely a great option, but it’s slightly less cushioned compared to the Puma Deviate Nitro 3. Based on what you’ve mentioned, it seems like you’re after a bit more cushion for those longer runs, plus something that lets you pick up the pace without holding you back.
@@darylbickford Thanks for looking. But do you have any other suggestions? If I hadn't mentioned the options, would you have any others? Other brands perhaps?
@@yasbekvrum Kamal, you could consider the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, or from what a friend of mine suggested the On Cloudmonster.
Very original analogy with the sheets.
Puma has invested heavily in long distance running during the last 2 years. I hear so many good things from IRL friends about the deviate nitro elite.
This has been a fun shoe to run in! It’s the first Puma running shoe I’ve had the chance to try. It won’t be the last.
🎉 Same shoe choice for Berlin 2024 here. ⭐️
@@runnerfromhel Shoe Twins! Let’s goooo!
@@darylbickford 💪 I guess there will be many, since it’s such a great shoe. Any thoughts about the Superblast 2 ?
@@runnerfromhel I ordered it a few weeks ago, but it’s still back ordered. I’m hoping to get it before Berlin so I can use it on a shakeout run!
Does your big toe touch the tip of the shoe when you land?
@@RapRapV Not on this shoe. Sizing felt good, snug , but comfortable.
@@darylbickford thanks
I went for the Edge Paris personally. I'd like to try the Sky out though to see how they feel compared to each other
@@paulmulks I’d like to try the Edge at some point , although I did run in the Puma deviate Nitro 3s this morning and I’m guessing those have similar feel to the edge.
Great review!! Just purchased a pair for my upcoming half!
@@Mr_lawrence_ These shoes will be great for a half marathon. Let me know how it goes!
Heyy. Do you recommend for a 75kgs pro runner, half marathon I want to use
Sorry. I originally misread what shoe this comment was for. I wouldn’t use it for a half marathon.
These are great shoes, recently bought. I go half a size up with them (UK 10.5 compared to 10) but that's also what I do with Nike VF and AF. I'm looking forward to running a Half in these, and some 5/10ks soon. Great review!
@@valleyboylegend4202 Thanks for watching. I’m excited to see how these treat me for Berlin. Good luck on your next race. Let me know how it goes.

Nice shoe and good review. I had to go up from 9.5 to 10 to be comfortable in this shoe. I also use a Wide version. Shoe looks dope if I may say.

@@yeahyeah9869 let me know how the 5k goes! Good luck. You’ll crush it.
@@darylbickford thank you Sir, there's still 3-4 months to the race
Hi ..would u recommand them for someone who overpronates? In your video I saw your feets overpronating in slow motion?
Hi, Thanks for watching. I could really feel some calf fatigue while running, but not enough for me to stop using the shoe. If you have flat feet or tend to overpronate, these shoes could potentially make those issues worse. Just something to keep in mind.
Is a great shoe for my 5 or 10k, however, as you mentioned, it can cause some calf fatigue and some sort of Achilles tendinitis. I’m not sure if you have tried the 9th version of takumi Sen, but in my case, I found it bit more midsole stiff which is good for my running dynamics. Anyways, great shoes. A sout out from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, moustache bro.
@@carlosgarciabanda Thanks for watching. I’m going to keep using it for those 5k/10k days. I never had a chance to try the 9th version but looking forward to the next one when it comes out. Happy running!
The thing you said about your right foot, I feel that in some of my Pegasus 39-41. It’s like they have less cushion on the inside part of the shoe. I have a bunch of pairs of those, some for running and some for work, and some feel that way and some dont. It’s kind of annoying.
@@TheManolastra I stopped at 39 for Pegs. How was the 40? I also see that they have a Pegasus Plus out, I’m curious about that one.
Do you recommend the takumi sen 10 as a daily trainer or if not, which one would you recommend frontal the Adidas brand?
@@carlospro2428 thanks for watching. I wouldn’t use the Takumi as a daily trainer. I’d look into the Adidas Adizero SL2 for a daily. If you can find the SL1 on sale it’s worth it. I used it while training for London.

5:15 before you started talking about the Mach 6. Just saying……..
Thanks for watching Tom. UA-cam put chapters on some of my videos but not this one for some reason. Not sure if you're a Hoka fan, but I love this shoe, it's still in my rotation for marathon training.
I have the gel nimbus 25 and they are soo comfy. It’s the only shoe I run in as I’m happy to run slow and short and long.
The 25s are one of my all time favorite shoes. Such a comfortable ride!
Great review! Would you say this shoe runs true to size? I've heard some people mention that this shoe is a little short in length...
I feel like it’s true to size. I am a size 9 and there is plenty of room. If anything I have to remember to cinch down the laces because there is a little slippage.
@@darylbickford Sounds good! Looking into getting a pair myself for faster long runs with something that could provide a decent amount of cushioning. Also, thank you for the extremely quick response! Just subscribed!

Good to come across your channel… we met in London earlier this year at Kofuzi shakeout run
That is CRAZY!!!! That run was such a fun time - any races coming up?
I just did my first run in the Rebel and really liked it. I normally like a bit more cushion, but they're so comfortable. New Balance SC Trainer 3 or Asics Superblast for your long runs.
This shoe has that perfect combination of cushion and firmness. I have heard so much good things about the Superblast - I might need to give them a try for the long runs.
Enjoyed the video! I’m glad I ran into you there.
Thanks! Hope the race went well!
Excellent video!
Thank you! I had such a fun time running this race!!!
Well done
Thank you!!! :)
Looks amazing! What was the charity application process like for London? Did you apply to several? My experience with finding a charity at NYC marathon was surprisingly tough!
Thanks. London was a blast. It was an easy process. If I’m not mistaken London is one of the biggest fundraisers for the world majors - meaning there are a lot of charities. I applied to 4 different charities. Two were full and two said yes. I would start the process as soon as you can!
Nice review. Relatable. My Nimbus 25 are at 126 miles and still feel/look great. I bought the 26’s and they are at 94 miles. Same thing, feel and look great. Wore them to a Pearl Jam concert a few nights ago and felt great standing in them for almost the 2.5ish hours they played. Looking to get some New Balance More V4
I just bought a pair of NB Fuel Cell V4 for my daily trainers. I might have to look at the fresh foams for my longer runs! I hope the Pearl Jam concert was fun! I’ve never seen them live.
Great job!!! It's Ms. Michelle in case you are wondering

For socks , look for "Nike Grip running socks." I had lots of different models over the years, and they male.your feet to like "glue" inside the shoes. The experience of running with your shoes will be improved for the better by a long shot. There are many great running socks around, from big brands like Nike, Adidas or Asics, and some other great ones, but the best of the best for me are the models of Nike Grip. I have been using these socks for more than 15 years now, and they kept getting better and better . By the way, I also love my Asics Gel-Nimbus 26 ! Super stable ,nimble, and versatile for bulky shoes .
Hi which one do you prefer kayano or nimbus. Thank you 🙏
Nimbus for sure! But, I actually prefer the NIMBUS 25s. I feel like they are softer, especially for long runs.
@@darylbickford Thank You for your right advice.! 😊🙌
I love stance socks for my taller socks the run light ones and the feetures socks for ankle socks. Feetures has max light and ultra light cushioning. I have not tried the ultra light cushioning. For winter I have the smartwool hiking socks I use for running and the stance hiking socks for running for extreme cold
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll have to do some shopping. I haven’t narrowed down my London Marathon “kit” yet. Socks are going to be an important part!
@@darylbickford I used to run in the Nike socks but after running in the feetures and stance socks I could never go back to running in regular athletic socks only running socks for me now lol
This your choice shoe for the marathon or just test driving?
