I've watched the films over a period of around 4 years so I think if anything my thoughts on the films have become more solid since watching them all multiple times over the years. If you disagree with some of my points I'd be up to explain some of them a little more.

Well they definitely aren't fast paced action or silly fast paced monsters like the Legendary or Showa Godzilla films.

I personally think it sounds like someone burping. It also doesn't really sound like Godzilla. The later Heisei Godzilla roars are definitely much more fitting and expressive, especially the 1995 roar which adds a deep booming raspy sound to his roar.

@GSTE_ I see where your coming from but if you ask me they could have made the later roars sound deeper. Also most animals have that gurgle roar. Lions, bears, they have a faint gurgle noise. Just my opinion though... also gojira's roars in 1954 would work perfectly. They sound good and have expression in some shots.

@@shawnnix-h9t The later roars were made to have Godzilla show expression or match his movements. The early roars worked somewhat due to Godzilla not actually moving much or showing expression. And the times he does show expression such as in Godzilla 1989 the roar doesn't match since it has the same tone when he gets hurt, angry, sad, or powered up. The later Heisei Godzilla on the other hand has a roar that literally sounds like he's screaming at times, or they add a high pitch roar when he has pain or just to have variety. Bear's roars do not sound like the early Heisei Godzilla roar, as they sound actually much more similar to Godzilla 1995's roar. The early roars start off fine, but after the split second iconic roar it turns into what sounds like burping. The later roars are just so much more iconc and you can hear the emotion behind it, which makes it match the direction of Godzilla's character.

@GSTE_ Ok fair. But they could have atleast kept it for certain parts. You can't deny that roar is perfect for some shots. They also could have took the gurgle roar and changed it to a higher pitch when they need to... but I can't say I don't agree the og high pitch roar fits moments, like when in the American version of 1984 when he fell into the volcano he literally screamed. (I think it was the American version, it's been a while.)

@@shawnnix-h9t I don't really see any scenes where the roar would fit in for the later heisei godzilla. For certain deleted scenes they used the old roars and it doesn't fit at all.

I think both SpaceGodzilla and Biollante have lots of problems, while the fight scenes make SpaceGodzilla better in certain ways.
