Love all these race cars, all are built and taken care of with love. The wagon at 12:10 really caught my eye. The guy has a simple combo. That single wheeled wheelie bar caught my eye. The launch was very smooth with the wheels up! When he said it had a Jericho I knew it was gonna be fun to watch, and I love the owners attitude and enthusiasm. Pretty sure he said his name was Steve. Well done sir! And I agree "Thank You Jesus!" So many other interesting combinations in this vid.

Damn that's a beautiful car. Gotta love Stock Eliminator, a drag race/car show/party all rolled into one. Pro Class cars are so homogeneous now but the Stock classes are the TIT'S!! Thanks for another awesome interview my friend, Semper Fidelis.

You need to ask detailed questions about the engine, carb, compression, actual hp, trans, convertor, rear end/gear/suspension..

I’m starting to think that I didn’t rev my ‘70 Roadrunner with an Indy headed 440/6 high enough. That was a fun car.

She and I went to the same high school in Cottonwood, AZ. Although I never met her formally, I knew her dad, Bob, through my drag racing buddy. I was a Mopar kid (still am) and he was always very nice to me and shared his knowledge. I enjoyed watching Bob and my buddy working on my buddy's 69 Mustang and listening and learning. Great video, thanks for posting.

I saw my fist Z28 labor day sunday 1966 at P.I.D. Pgh.chevy called the track asked if they could make a pass the day was over but all the fans waited for them they showed up took off the open trailer made a pass 11s it was steel cities gray they would not open hood.

OMG, 40 years ago I was running a 2800 lb white 71 Vega with a 305 ci chevy. Pretty much the same set up. D/MP 9500RPM hole shot shifting at 9500, Doug Nash 5 speed, Dana 6.17 gear. I was going 9.4's at 145 MPH...I miss that ride. People would ask me if it was a Bill Jenkins car...The guys I sold it to, Dave and Dan, asked to keep the name and graphics. Now racing at Milan Dragway known as the Al Gary Pro Stock Vega. Thanks Dave and Dan.

Sad to see hardly anybody in the stands. Price of living drove people away. Only the folks that are drag racing are the people there. In the 60s you have a hard time finding a seat. Some people had to stand the whole race. Also 1/4 mile racing is better. I did 1/8 mile one time. Hated it never went back when they did that again.

I still have my 215 cui Olds all aluminum engine.

i personally don't think its drag racing when there is a computer on board controlling the traction, shift points and so on. there should be no controlling sh!t. u and the car manual shifting, that's true drag racing.
