I was ok with what you was saying except with your misleading people with your words in that a not all TV Preachers are evil crooks stealing money from people using God's name. For a TV Pastor to say that Christ or God will bless them for sowing seed into their ministry is ok. They are on TV for free it cost money to operate and bring the Gospel to people around the world and it takes the support of people to do that. Your words sounds as if they come from an un believing atheist who has it in for Christians. But just so you know God hear and see when people mislead others so beware of that.

Thank you for this. This verse is very profound and deep. It is not actually talking about salvation, but speaking to the already saved. So, he is asking us, who are saved, to get back to the initial love that we once had with him? Examining ourselves and allowing him to work in our hearts. I am also reminded of Galatians 3:3. 'How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?'

What this verse and all of the Word of God does is reveals how God deals with His people. We are His people. We can indeed apply the same, Unchanging God's Word to our lives personally. Yes, it is very important to know the Context, indeed, as it further illustrates his nature. The Word of God is personal. This is why we are led to meditate on it Day and Night.
