At FMBC, as the name states, we like to fabricate, make, build, and cook things. Instead of having multiple channels dedicated to each of the four categories we decided to combine them into one! At the beginning of each episode we'll call out what categories are being represented. That way if someone is only interested in metal fabrication they don't waste their time watching a cooking video (Not that it would be a waste of time!). Most videos will be hybrids incorporating more than one of the four categories. The goal is to pass on knowledge, learn as we go, inspire people to create, experiment with cooking, eat delicious food, and have fun along the way!

Building a Metal Patio Sign
Переглядів 4353 місяці тому
This is a quick video showing how I built our patio sign at the brewery. We wanted a place where we could display our weekly specials and events going on in the taproom. This display is in a high traffic area since our patio is connected to one of the entrances of our neighboring building which has an ice cream shop in it (MN-Nice Cream).
DIY Offset Smoker Build Using an Old Air Compressor Tank
Переглядів 23 тис.8 місяців тому
I acquired an old 80-gallon air compressor tank from my work and decided to turn it into a smoker! The tank is roughly 3/16" thick. I made a simple frame using 2" square tubing and some 6" locking casters. The firebox is made with a V-Bottom to it which helps create and maintain a good coal bed. It has a roughly 1" air gap insulation around the bottoms and the sides. I really enjoy how this coo...

HUGE CABINET SMOKER BUILD! Another build video :)
Переглядів 47 тис.Рік тому
This 36" wide, 24" deep, and over 6 feet tall cabinet smoker was a blast to build! It has 10 cooking grates! I built this out of 11ga (1/8") thick steel for the most part. Details are below. This project is what motivated me to build an overhead bridge crane in my garage to help with future heavy lifts. This thing is a pig! Thanks for watching! 4th of July Smoked Beef Brisket!! Smoked Wagyu Beef Tallow!!
Переглядів 1,9 тис.3 роки тому
I smoked a beef brisket on my 94 gallon offset smoker for the 4th of July. It turned out great! Seasoned it with sea salt, 16 mesh black pepper, and some garlic powder. Cooked it using hickory wood and sprayed it with 1/2 apple cider vinegar, some Worcestershire sauce and water. Smoked uncovered for about 6.5hours and wrapped for about 3.5 hours. 1.5 hours rest and it was ready to eat! Average ...
Live Fire Cooking on My Chud Box! Steak, Chops & Sausages Over Woodfire! BBQ!
Переглядів 5 тис.3 роки тому
I wanted to cook up some BBQ this past weekend but decided to turn it up a notch by having a wood fire in my Chud box instead of just charcoal. Turned out excellent! Cooking on the direct heat cooker with live fire is a lot of fun and puts out some delicious BBQ! Enjoy P.S. I get no kickbacks or have any affiliations with the below links, products, or sites. DIY Direct Heat Smoker Build! Mini Chud Box Replica!
Переглядів 29 тис.3 роки тому
I made a Mini Chud Box! Added some personal twists to Chud's BBQ design. This was made from leftover 3/16" HR pickled & oiled plate I had from the larger Chud Box I made in the last smoker video. This was a lot of fun and the thing cooks like a champ! A friend suggested I add trim to all the weld seams for a unique look and I'm really happy I did! Took a lot longer to build due to this but the ...
Ribs on the Pit! St. Louis Style BBQ Ribs
Переглядів 1,3 тис.3 роки тому
I put some Smithfield's St. Louis style ribs on my pit in this video. Seasoned them with Killer Hogs AP seasoning and "The BBQ Rub" from Killer Hogs as well. Cooked them over some mesquite lump charcoal and hickory. Towards the end I wrapped the ribs with foil after adding brown sugar, butter, honey, and some Rufus Teague's whisky maple BBQ sauce. It was frickin delicious! Thanks for watching!
BBQ Pit Build From Scratch! Direct Heat Cooker! Chud Box Inspired!
Переглядів 43 тис.3 роки тому
I built a direct heat BBQ in this video. The inspiration came from Chuds BBQ's Chud Box. Check out Bradley's channel and his website. Link below. This direct heat cooker is a cross between a grill and a smoker, most comparable to a barrel type cooker. This was a lot of fun and puts out great food! Thanks for watching! www.chudsbbq.com/ ua-cam.com/users/ChudsBbqvideos Dimensions of the cooker: M...

Wen 5" Metal Bandsaw Vertical Conversion I PART 1 I YESWELDER MIG205DS Tig Welding
Cool man I just started using a cnc machine to mill out smokers and grills, and the Chudster was a big inspiration for some of the mechanics! Great video man and thanks for showing love for the DIY design channels!!
Nice job, outstanding for giving credit to Bradley Robertson,, speaks a lot of your character. Thank you for putting the design measurements in the description. I will be making one of these
What guage steel did you use?
How much???? Seriously..
Great job!
Badass cooker boss
Very impressive
Happy to see a new post. Do you remove the mill scale before seasoning any of your cookers
@@davek3726 no I leave it in there. Not a big deal
Can you make that but into a vertical smoker that's insulated and shipped to Ca?
This is what I want! Perfect size and allows for smoking or direct heat cooking.
Cool smoker! Can I ask, which welding pattern/technique do you follow for your vertical downhill welds? I find them super difficult as the puddle seems to get away from me.
I tend to angle the gun up a bit and continuously use a spiraling motion while traveling downwards. It keeps the arc at the front of the puddle for the bottom half of the spiral for decent penetration, and builds up the weld on the top half of the spiral. There’s probably better ways but this works for me and is relatively quick and uniform. Hope this helps!
@@fabmakebuildcook6274 Makes sense! I'll try that - thank you!
Great to see a new upload. Did I see a new mig welder in this build? I love the direct heat cooker. That's how I started cooking BBQ. Keep the great content coming!
Still using the miller 211 for mig work. There is a newer everlast 325ext tig welder though that I got for doing stainless and aluminum jobs. Both are pretty nice.
Welcome back Bro, enjoy all your videos
I have a bbq team too, feel free to donate one of these anytime 😜
Let me know when you are taking orders for a 36” direct heat cooker build !
I’ll keep you posted
taking orders ?
what would u charge to build one, how long would it take to build?
Not currently but maybe in the near future.
Nice as always 🤙🏾
Thanks man
Hell yeah. I've made 2 so far and based a lot of my builds on yours and @chudsbbq. That is a monster! Always enjoy these videos
Sweet!
Dope!🤙🏾💯…How much you asking for a rig like that?
Glad you like it! That one would run about $3k as-is.
Yea. Hope you have been doing great. Great video as always and can’t wait to see what’s next. Be safe
this was so cool to watch
Great job but it's just shat happens won't b first or lat I always brother😅😅😅
Good job how can i get the drawings for this build
You'd have more room if you weren't smoking Brontosaurus ribs there Fred Flintstone 😂
3 years late but anyone with flat bottom fire box - Add fireplace grate to get air underneath wood.
Beautiful job sir, I really enjoyed watching your skills!
i mean you weld right and build solid but holy jesus brotha that fire box is UGE! hahaha . . .look at one of Franklin's pits and you can 'fix' that one up to work with less wood, have an option for water bath and be able to use your entire grate area without worry and a ton of foil :) dude still, what a fuck'n beast. . i bet that rib was the best you've ever had :) it's always better after blood, sweat and tears :)
Nice job! Find someone to build these for you - I'm sure there would be a market for those needing a larger cooking area.
You're stuck smoking in Minnesota winters too, aye?
Wow, looks amazing. Great job! If you wouldn't mind sharing, what's the approximate cost on sheet metal, bar, angle, etc for something like that? I'd love to attempt something like that one day.
Damn, good stuff. Which I could build one of these bad boys. Great video thanks for sharing your knowledge.
What was the basis for the shell? Was it a propane tank or an Air Compressor? Did you cut it open to make it easier to clean? Great build!
Make no mistake: making one of these is a big job! I've been a welder/fabricator for a while and I still had problems with the geometry of the propane tanks making for bad fit-ups. That being said, mine is almost done and I can't wait to do the initial burn out and smoke bacon to find the hot spots
Wow, great pit and smoke gd job bro
Super clean work bud love it!
Just a tip, try using the paint removal disc that looks like a sponge, it rips the paint off easily and quicker than wire wheel without any damage to the metal surface
Thats cool
You got skills
Great looking pit! Where you located?
What type of insulation did you use..thx
211 millermatic baby✊🏾that's what I burn with
Cool looking cooker. I think it’s a huge miss not fully insulating it. That thing will turn into a branding iron. Must be miserable to cook on.
That is the BEST build I've seen.
I want one!!!!
What did you use to cut the door
A plasma cutter. i believe I show that in the video...
Im looking to build something similar for myself. about how much do you have in material im this ? Thanks !
I can't remember exactly but i think around $1k.
You’re awesome for that description haha. Do you offer any welding services to the public?
Sent email a couple days ago. Great product.
24 x 60 ?
Isn’t it a Serbian knife?
