Well i worked in Poland as mechatronics fitter in medium size companny and i asked PLC programmers about their's monthly salary they earn only 1480USD so i'm sure that i will learn Germany and move from my country for better money.

i use an arduino mega controllino with arduino nano as grbl controller on a small parts industrial manipulator for inserting 2 small brass made parts inside a plastics injection mould.. Some problems at the beginning of the project as rs 422 interfacing of the 12 bits incremental encoders for position reached check , resolved by spi checked external 32 bit counters , self made fiber optics based reflective photosensors etc...The major lost of time was about the realisation of some pcbs double layer with metallised holes for vias made in workshop too... My factory is so little , we are 3 employees , dwell time due to covid ,lockdown and other factors helps us to have time to think and realise .I dont want to compete with plc users but due of my age my plc s background is stopped at ladder age. Arduino C' s and byte oriented keywords takes me a little time to learn them instead of proprietary or iec standard plc language learning..

PLC is not more reliable than Arduino. I've been using VB6 for input/output interface applications for decades. Originally, pre-usb, I used DB25 printer ports to connect to the outside world. When Arduino came along, this changed everything. Integrating VB6 with Arduino and long range RF devices gives a $2 Nano the power of a PC.!!!! Thousands of these remote Slave devices can send/receive data to/from individual and even multiple PCs. This allow users to control and see every aspect of the work being performed automatically or by user onscreen buttons in real time. Spare Slaves are ridiculously inexpensive and this allows one to change out a failing/failed unit with a spare in mere seconds. THIS alone is reason enough to scrap PLC as most industrial systems require waiting days, sometimes weeks, for a Tech just to show up. Indians who are watching this video, i like to share you one thing. In India there the salary is not good as a fresher. So along with PLC programming or Automation Engineer be ready to thorough with Control system paper also improve Manager or Administrative skills by knowing more about Industrial oriented training will help you to improve your salary package in upcoming years. Otherwise after gaining experience go some of the countries, he mentioned above for better job opportunities.
