Deciding to relocate is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make so don't do it alone. Do it in partnership with the one who is able to guide, instruct and uphold you! Please pray about your relocation plans with these scriptures: Isaiah 41:10- “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right...

Being black and living in Australia. #lifeinaustralia #australia
Considering Australia's terrible history as with most of colonised Countries ( I haven't travelled overseas yet although I intend to as of next year) I feel like Australian people in general are mostly quite friendly, especially in the more remote regions & smaller town areas you will find that people are really mostly friendly. Here we don't even care what people look like, people here are very inclusive. From what I've heard & seen in UA-cam documentaries, the USA is 100% more prejudiced than Australia. Here we only have 7 different States but the people are all pretty much the same. USA has 50 different States excluding Hawaii no wonder they have so many problems. Also our previous Prime Minister outlawed guns so we don't have people going around shooting people here. Australian society is completely different & can't even be compared to the USA. In saying that you may experience some rude people here & there, but very rarely.
Perhaps Mathew was ignoring you - not because you are black-but because he thought you are a prick
You definitely look like Bob Marley-except Marley is better looking!
Watching this in 2024 and it's so helpful. I also work in corporate Australia and I can attest to some of these points you have shared. Thank you!
Oh my gosh! I've experienced the train thing too 😀😀
The Bob Marley comparison made me laugh
Caution: not helpful to see everything through the lens of racism.
Thank you
Love your documentary. So much appreciated, landing there soon on PR.
All the best!
Been awhile u made a video
Life is lifeing! 😃
One good thing about Australia, there are a lot of airports...😊
Go away... Australians don't need or want your criticism. You are over-sensitive and over reacting...
How are you doing AO? Just checking in on you. Hope baby is growing beautifully. ❤❤❤ God bless and keep you and family always. We miss you on UA-cam ooo.😂 Stay blessed beautiful Mama!
I'm very well. Thank you so much for checking on me. Stay blessed too, I appreciate you
As a black British Caribbean man from London I didn't know we had a committee in Australia I'm not surprised this racism in Australia after all white Australians are descendants of convict I got kicked out of England back in the 1700s up to the 1860s
Australia 🦘 is not much different than the UK only difference is the weather most of European their trace Thier history back to the UK and Ireland for the longest the racism and divisions in the UK is the same in Australia may be worse.
Africa has not been portrayed as having a large Middle Class population in Australia and New Zealand. Therefore the older generations have only seen on the printed and TV media the reports on natural disasters, major political unrest, corruption and poverty. These countries have never had an African population base until more recent decades, late 1970s and early 1980s was the start. There has been groups from African countries that have come over as refugees. So the population that has arrived as middle class immigrants in the 1990s and 2000s is still very new. Africans seem to previously chosen the USA, Canada and the former colonial powers of the U K. and France, Italy, Spain, Germany etc.. This is partly why TV and film do not have many people of African descent shown in various roles or advertising.
Tuesday 30th April 2024. 14.23pm. "Good-afternoon. I have heard, of alot of Black British people, going to live in Australia. I find this rude, and anti-social behaviour. I blame the 20yr period with my ex, for this. Australia, is no longer the same, in my eyes." Yours Respectfully Sir Francesca Kray. ☹
I'd just throw out the fact that European whites are the minority worldwide. Don't care if you're in America, Canada, Australia, South Africa. Your race origin, as white people, is probably majority European. The westernized influence is starting to fail.
Hi Abisola, you've not posted or done a video in a while. I hope you're well and fine. Your videos are amongst the best inspiring christian themed videos i find online. Stay safe
I am well and fine. Thank you so much for checking in. I really appreciate the feedback and I will be back soon by God's grace 🙏 ❤️
She is back! Welcome back and congratulations! ❤
Thank you 💕
I use the La Roche Posay one 😊
It's so nice on the skin. I use it only when I have an event. It's like my foundation 😀 . It's just so expensive now!
I love and use the neutrogena one. After discovering that one, I stopped experimenting. But yes, that sting when it gets in your eyes is crazy. First thing I do when I get home is wash my face.
The first time it stung my eyes I didn't even realise it was the sunscreen until subsequent use but I like the way it glows on my skin. I'm just more careful when I apply it now 😁
Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!💕
Thank you for the recommendations, and welcome back.. we missed you. 😁 Please, what are the prices of the other 2?
You're welcome; thank you! Neutrogrena Hydroboost: $14.99 AUD La Roche Posay: $32.99 AUD I have attached links in my description box. 💕
Hi Abisola, can you tell me where did you study the short course please ?
AUSCARE.
I've experienced this from other races and my own. Yes you are right. Open racism is very rare.
Maybe u should not go to white country
The Asian that didn't sit beside you. Was he/she Indian or Southeast Asian?
While it's never too soon to see more representation, I think you'll see it rapidly increase once there are more second/third generations here. Particularly for federal Parliament, at least, you can't hold a second citizenship, which I imagine is something many won't want to give up. Back when I was growing up, in Perth, I don't think I can recall even *seeing* a non-Aboriginal black person until my teens. A customer at my Dad's camera repair shop, that was unusual enough for me to remember! (And my primary school class of ~30, only had three children who weren't bone white). Yeah, this was Perth, which along with Adelaide are probably the most "British" states, but you get the idea. Quite a large white South African expat community, but that's a different matter. Our time zone often does suck, but if you're in certain types of work it's actually a good place to be for follow the sun type support roles (the east coast fits very nicely in between East Coast USA and Western Europe). That's pretty niche though. For family, it sucks (I have family both in Hawaii and Scotland)
The majority that live in Australia 🦘 trace Thier history from the UK and Ireland the racism from the Aborigines was directed to the Aborigines the racism and hatred they faced is sickening .
You had dread locks and someone in the west say you look like bob marley is not racist. It’s funny but rude.
I would’ve said his skin reminds me of Porky the Pig. Oink oink.
it's literally not funny though. it's dumb and yes it is offensive to compare a black woman to a man.
I think you might be projecting racism onto some situations where it might not actually be there. There are many reasons someone might not want to talk to you. You can’t just assume a motive. There are many people that don’t have a filter in general and just blurt out something wacky to people of any race. They often don’t have nefarious intentions. They just don’t really think before they speak. Possibly you are right for both situations, but you could also be wrong. If you look for racism your confirmation bias will find it, even when it is not there. That’s not great for your mental health. If you go through life assuming the best and not the worst, you will be happier and it will make you more confident. And being confident you don’t need to care about what other people think. And everyone will be drawn to you. There are ignorant and stupid people everywhere in every country, although I would say Australia is probably one of the best countries to be. Don’t let the idiots ruin your day. There are so many other awesome people you can choose to hang around instead. You don’t need anyone’s validation.
Thank you.
SOUNDS LIKE you are searching for a perfect country to live in. KEEP AT IT
Yes. Don't let us hold you back..😊
That goat you called out made me subscribe😂. Good content.
Sis how about the opportunities for radiologist with a phd in australia? Are they have a good salary? By the way i like to suggest be happy that no one sits with u then u can enjoy ur trip comfortably 😉 and of course not every asian like that if i saw u in the train I'll definitely sit with u and also talk with like about weather if u are comfortable 😉
i do however agree on the weather lol . being from england originally . i was born in January . middle of winter . now my birthday and xmas ,new year are all in mid summer .
id like to know the number of africans here , that work and actually help australia . and how many just sponge off of us , i know where i live . the majority of africans here are refugees . and just want a free ride .
And they get it...
lol youd like tyo see more africans in leadership here ? seriously ? this is australia lady . why would we want african ways put on us by africans in power here ? australia has already lost its culture due to too many worldly ways . multi culture is fine , but come join us , dont come to change us . were doing quite well on every topic here , but you all want to change us .
Multiculturalism is a failure in the whole world hence why racism and segregation is growing worldwide.
you buy cheap . you get cheap . all clothes stores here rotate stock by seasons because we have a huge difference between summer and winter , but it depends what brand of clothes you buy , for quality . you can go to kmart or big w and pay very little for clothing , and get cheap chinese made rubbish , or you can buy brand name clothes like addidas , nike , puma etc , that will cost a lot more , but better quality . it amazes me , ppl come from 3rd world countries , to australia , and complain . but they never go back home lol
I see why it amazes you. Your knowledge of some 3rd world countries is limited. So you assume we don't have access to quality items there. Many of us do not relocate because we are disadvantaged or hungry. Please understand that.
@@AbisolaOluOjo i realise this is your opinion , and your entitled to it . but i look at england . my home place . and i think , how lucky i am to be here in australia .
im surprised you replied so quick to a year old post . lol thanks for the reply . 😌
you can have really high uv on cloudy days as well . in fact , scattered clouds can increase uv rays
Girl, look at how they treat the aborigines. PERIOD.
You did well to share dear
Thank you! Cheers!🙂
I'm here 7 months after laughing at do the do... what are you doing? 😅
I love how warm this conversation is,I soaking in all the information, love from SA
My guy, thank you so much….You have gained a follower 😊
From the experience i got in saudi Arabia, i think i can live in any other coutry in the world. Being black in saudi is very hard but i lived there for 4 years
Where is she o???? Last video was six months ago! Hope you are good? Take care and stay blessed!
The "Mathew" character.... Would not be a surprise if he or his ancestors are from elsewhere. There is a line where people forget work place is not a social club. If you were trying to make friends with him socially then he had every right to ignore you but now during working meetings and company events someone acts like you should not be part of the company??
Afternoon= Arvo Avocado= Avo ...Well, alright. When you say it like THAT it sounds nuts, but... shuddup! 😜🤣🤣🤣❤👍
Bob Marley??????
Glad you only experience for 5 times on your 5yrs in Australia, if you’re in my country I don’t know how many times you’re going to experience it. In my experience working in hospitality for more than 2yrs here in Australia, white Aussie and aboriginals are so nice people, while in my country they will treat you like a servant… here in Australia you won’t feel like that…I’m Asian by the way.
