Sorry, I was too late today. Great stream as always. Congrats on 20 Episodes.
Thanks mate
Great live stream, as always. Thrilled to hear the news about the Bordertown Supercharger. Will become handy soon. Will send come images through of the Cybertruck display at Runde Mall in ADL. I will also release a video this week in that regard. Cheers!
Thanks mate, always appreciated
It didn't work for me, my car is 2024.26.100
That sounds like a factory version. .100 releases are generally what they ship with from the factory. You should get an update soon, try it after that.
Great live stream. Interesting to see the changes on the upcoming software updates. The rear mirror changes while reversing are much appreciated. No idea about 10/10. I think Robotaxis are likely however, FSD needs to be rolled out to more countries first in my opinion. as far as I’m concerned I am not willing to pay an additional $5,000 for hardly any added value in comparison to EAP. And even EAP has a long way to go in Australia before becoming fully functional.
Thanks mate. Agree with your points. I'm expecting an announcement about China as part of this event.
Another awesome episode full of interesting news. Thanks again for producing this!
Thank you very much for watching and for the support mate!
I was having an argument with someone over 8/10 - 12/15A, I guess we were both right. Thanks for the tip, I have to update mine now.
No problem at all. Thanks for watching
Very informative as usual!, haven't been able to make them live for a while but I am watching them after Please keep it up
Thanks for the kind words and support!
Hi! I like your video! Hope you get more viewers!
Thank you, much appreciated
I’d love to see more FSD (Australia) videos. I’m still not 100% convinced to spend those $10,100. Cheers.
Yeah, to be honest there isn't much difference between EAP and FSD here at the moment. If you are buying it for what is currently available my honest advice is not to buy it. I saw it as an investment as I believe we will get FSD supervised at least to the level that the US has within the next year or so and I believe that the price will go up at that point. That's purely my best guess and not financial advice though, so it's really up to each person if they want to take that risk or not.
@@Tesla-Red Fully concur with your statement.
Great live stream, full of information. Thanks for sharing my Amber screenshot.
Thanks for participating and sending it through
Great presentation Jules, as always. Tesla has apparently made some changes to how FSD is advertised. Seems like supervised FSD is here to stay. But maybe it's got some legal reasons.
Thanks mate
Thanks for another great update. Would love to see a stat on dc chargers per registered ev’s. Starting with Tesla if that’s easier, but ideally with all chargers and elks as well. We are celebrating the new chargers which is great, but we might be missing the bigger picture if the cars per charger stat is getting worse. Cheers
Thanks for watching Gordon, you make a very good point. I'll see what I can dig up in the coming weeks.
Sorry I missed the live stream. Great content, as always.
Thanks mate
There is another new Tesla showroom in Perth in Osborne park. Should be open in a week or so I believe. Moving from a smaller building and separate warehouse for car deliveries. One South which is the O’Connor one and North is the Osborne Park one. 👍
Thanks for the update
Thanks. Great video. After watching this when I do get a Tesla it will have to be the red one. Looks so nice
Yeah, I'm obviously biased but I do love it!
Activating and deactivating TACC now makes a chime, that you cannot turn off. Why? It's awful.
I believe that has been forced by regulators for safety reasons
Is this a general rollout across Australia as I’m still on 2024.20.9 which I got last week?
It's worldwide, but they do it in batches, sometimes just takes a while to get out to everyone, looks like they did a really big batch today, so hopefully they'll continue with that sort of pace over the next few days. Just over 40% of vehicles are on .26.x now so it's still less than half.
just updating a few minutes ago. M3RWD, area=new york.
Cool
Great video .are they sending out the update by country order.or is it just luck of the draw
It's pretty random in most cases. They'll do batches that are spread around the world unless it's an update specific to a region.
just downloading now. new york area, m3rwd
Just installing now, Toowoomba Queensland.
Great video Jules. Thank you. Just in time before my Tesla arrives. I am a UA-cam Music person :-) Mobile connector is already coming tomorrow morning.
Nice. I bet you can't wait!
great update vid thanks
Thanks for watching
Sorry Jules , Olympics is now done I will jump on the chat next time.
Hey guys, chat has been extremely quiet the last couple of weeks. Interested in any feedback on the timing of the lives if it's not working for people, happy to take suggestions on a better time slot. If the content is just not working for you, also interested in feedback/suggestions.
Arrived in Adelaide. Enjoying the replay! Hope to be here next time again. Hay is open for all cars. I’ve made a video which will come out soon. :-D
Glad you made it OK.
Checked out the insurance and was more than double what I’m paying now!! Paying $1255 currently and was quotes $2970. WTF?
Yeah some getting crazy high quotes, others getting good ones. Saw someone get around 800 per year but they were in a regional area.
Sorry enjoying the Olympics at present. Will rejoin next time.
No worries at all mate
hi!!! :)
Hi!
Can the 2024 model 3 RWD drive from brisbane to coffs harbour supercharger on 1 full charge? I'm looking to get the model 3 RWD and i do this trip a lot. I usually stop once along the way, but occasionally do it in one go. Just curious if its possible due to the difference in highway efficiency vs city driving. I know the long range model 3 can do it, but can't afford the extra $10k.
Yeah, it was going to let us do it on this trip. Unfortunately though we needed the bathroom break at Heatherbrae so it's definitely possible, but that's about 4 hours straight, so not particularly comfortable.
Nice video. "Feeling safer", as you put it, is a good point that many comparisons miss. Many ICE owners do not realise it is the combination of the construction of Teslas with its software safety features that make Teslas very safe.
Thanks for watching, hadn't seen your channel before, subscribed! I agree, safety is always one of my highest priorities, comes with a background in aviation I guess. The fact that we can get the safest vehicle on the planet which also happens to be fun and enjoyable to drive and the most cost efficient is fantastic!
Great video Jules. Very interesting trip report. Glad to hear that you’ve arrived safe and sound at home. Tomorrow is my turn, BNE to ADL. However, in an ICE vehicle. I am trying to get some details about the superchargers in Hay.
They just opened yesterday. Enjoy the trip!
Good job! I'm doing the reverse on Monday in a Model 3.
Enjoy! It's a great drive.
I did Canberra - Brisbane - Canberra last year, camped at a campsite both ways overnight and slept in the car, autopilot was so good felt almost no fatigue both ways!
Yeah it's a game changer! Thanks for commenting!
Hey jules , I like what you are doing, but tighten up the silences. Maybe have all your subjects in a PowerPoint rather than navigating to them.
Thanks for the feedback Geoff. Yeah these past couple were difficult as I have been travelling and only had the laptop.
Love the fact you no longer have to "tug at the wheel". Is that for both FSD and AP?
I assume both as FSD is not much more than AP here. I did get a couple of nags on this most recent trip but that may have been due to the conditions and it would have been getting towards evening so unsure why. The big trip I had none at all for the whole 4000km.
Thanks for the video mate great review on the road trip I was thinking how would the road trip would affect your fatigue levels. Haven't seen any other review that actually includes how you feel after the drive. 👍
Yeah that's a big focus for me as I understand how dangerous fatigue can be. Definitely felt great after the drive. The 14 hour drive in the Tesla with autopilot roughly feels like a 3 or 4 hour drive in an ICE vehicle with cruise control. Thanks for watching
Great review it show the life of a tesla owner and how tesla are extraordinary cars especially for road trip in Australia. However we are waitting for the refresh model y I do want the long range because it is AWD and the place we go in Australia are snowy. What is your opinion on long range or rwd in Australia and should I get the mobile connecter or wall connector for home use? I think moblie is better with the special outlet.
Thanks for watching. New Model Y will be great, but just be aware, I don't expect it to be available in Australia until late next year. Definitely lots of reasons to go LR, I did discuss my reasons in the video, but it was a toss up really. The extra range and faster charging are two obvious advantages, if you are going to the snow, absolutely, AWD is an advantage, plus you get the better sound system etc. Mobile connector is perfect for most people, I would have just used that myself, however all the wiring was already in place for a wall connector so it was very cheap for me to get that. If the wiring hadn't been there, I'd just have gone with the mobile charger.
@@Tesla-Red Thanks for answering 🎉🎉 And great video!
Thanks for creating this content. Some good insights for both new and not so new Tesla owners. Hopefully the luggage based sass didn’t get you into too much trouble :) have a safe trip, and hopefully you find some warmer weather !

Always in trouble mate 🤣 The luggage has been an ongoing debate for decades lol
Great video. Thumpster is a great charging stop
Yeah definitely agree. Thanks for watching!
great efficiency at 128wh/km. what gas car drivers don't realize, some power companies in australia can allow you to charge at 8 cents or less per kilowatt hour, ignoring charging losses your 8184km could cost under $90, its a now brainer to own EV's
Yeah got to love the new model 3 for efficiency
We, 👈🏻, packed more than we need. 😂 Great video Jules, amazing that you made it in one day. Very encouraging words for new or potential new owners. We concur, you won't look back. Thanks to you and the lady behind the camera :-)
Thanks for watching!
I'm in the states, and I ordered my long-range M3 the moment that the refreshed model was available. It took mine 5 months to arrive. I was told it was because I ordered the long-range with white interior, and that spec was a late production run. I wasn't fussed by the time it took, other than I was just excited to get the car. Love the new Model 3, and it was def worth the wait.
Yeah, particularly getting a brand new release can add to the delivery time. You are right though, it's definitely worth the wait. Congrats on the new car!
I’m from Perth and We ordered our M3 RWD early march and picked it up end of April so around 8 weeks. Really feel for your long wait but may have been on spec that was the deadly? I’m sure once you get it you will enjoy it👍🇦🇺
Nice, sounds like you snagged a vehicle that was already loaded and unassigned. Enjoy!
Very interesting. Will order one soon. Will check the website out and update the spreadsheet accordingly when applicable. Agree with you Jules. Mainstream media talk a lot of BS. Spoke with Tesla in BNE today and the message was deliveries can take some time. Keep it up mate. ❤
Thanks mate.
Awesome video, thank you both for this content!
Thanks for watching!
a $2000 car can do that in 11 hours flat. I did that. Tesla is not a good car I reckon you should swap it out for a Mustang, but that's just me an Aussie petrol head. I guess at least you got autopilot & a big entertainment system to keep you busy. Your videography is good
lol, as you would have seen I spent less time waiting for charging than I would have spent holding a hose at a smelly gas station. Doesn't matter if its a 20k car or a 200k car, once you've done a decent road trip in a good EV there's no going back to an inferior ICE vehicle. The enjoyment, comfort and safety are miles ahead and you are not having to waste all that money making some consortium in the Middle East rich.

Nice video, however I would need a break every 1:30hr to 2 hours max
Yeah, glad to hear someone willing to take breaks! So used to getting comments from ICE drivers who think driving 6 or 7 hours straight is safe. I find around the 2-3 hour mark is good, especially with autopilot as it takes so much of the fatigue out of the drive. Key is to do what is comfortable and safe though.
@@Tesla-Red Really it is ignorance than anything else. I've had my electric car since April 2020 would never go back to an ICE.
Yeah, 100% agree. Once you experience a road trip with a good EV there's no going back!
Thanks for the video update. It seems no one has noticed that the Model 3 is now available in Quicksilver in Australia. May be worthwhile for the next updates. I’ve already put a screenshot on X for more information. Cheers.
Yeah looks good
What l am really looking forward to, in future updates, is the car able to park nose-in with visualization of the surroundings in front of the car, like they have it now in reverse parking. It will also help the driver, indicating accurate measurements from the car's front perimeter to any close by objects such as walls, fences, etc.
Interesting, I generally prefer to reverse in
@@Tesla-Red I too prefer reverse parking, however there are situation that you have no choice but to park straight in. Common situation is when you park in the garage. Most people park strain in. In this scenario, you need to know what's in front and sides. This is just an example.
Thats retarded. Do you understand how retarded and dangerous nose-in parking is? There's a reason the superchargers have short cables and the charge port is at the back.
