Thank you so much for this brilliant video - and I was thinking that I didn't need my Sizzix any more! Although I don't seem to be able to cultivate many flowers in my Florida garden - at least not the ones I want! - I have loads of ferns and foliage around me. I just love this idea and am itching to start printing on my hundreds of beginner get prints, which are, if I'm honest, not so wonderful. Add a layer of botanical prints and I think they will become wonderful!
Wow I haven't seen anything so beautiful before and weird love these papers .Thankyou
Wow, wonderful! ❤ new subscriber here
I look forward to seeing more of your techniques,
Love this idea! I always collect and dry plants! Also have 2 big shots! Question....do you seal the acrylic on fabric?
Wonderful!
Beautiful Transfer ideas. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you!
I believe this is my most favorite video on UA-cam at this moment! I can’t wait to play!
good idea
beautiful
how great, I must try this.
Love this video. Thanks for the mark-making ideas!!
Great little video. Especially liked the white gesso addition on the first page; &, with the second, I preferred some of the try outs - the pink initially seemed jarring, but it all came together at the end. Such is the magic of Art, we never know what might arrive on the page.🦋
you have a lot of good ideas. I enjoy watching your channel… You are pronouncing the word “develop” wrong…it is pronounced like: “duh-vel-up”… hope this helps
Your ideas have encouraged me to follow the inspirations that I find in nature in my own way. Thankyou.
Love seeing your creative ideas and how you explore, thanks! 🍧🥧🥮
Great journal. continue
Love the record keeping aspect here. I have a 6” roll of craft painters paper, and it has snippets of my papers. Now I’m thinking I might do some recording. Thanks for the idea❤
Love this. video. I am going to try this and call it my "What if" Journal" Thank. you so much. I am so happy and excited that I found your channel.
I love the idea of a "What If" Journal! I use this sentence all the time while I'm exploring ideas an techniques. It a perfect way to explore your creativity and experiment with new techniques. I'm thrilled you found my channel. Thank you so much.
I love this idea of keeping a journal of how you did the various techniques. I do the same thing, but I store all the technique recipe information in an electronic journal. For example, for an especially detailed technique, I take pictures after each step is done. Then I save the pictures to an electronic journal entry, with a description of the step with each picture as well as a picture of the final completed technique/project. There are several advantages using an electronic format - I can categorize each entry with various keywords, such as “Watercolor”, “Sewing”, “Fabric”, “Gel Print” and then use the keywords to search for techniques that use a particular feature, such as all my “Gel Print” related techniques. I can also include links to web pages and/or UA-cam videos that were used as inspiration for the technique. I have over 500 technique recipes in my electronic journal and build more each week.
Wauuu Cindy, that sounds like a fantastic system! An electronic journal is such a great way to keep everything organized and easily searchable. Plus, having pictures at each step must be super helpful for reference! Thanks for sharing your process. loved reading it.
12:40 you use the term "copy other artists". Google "steal like an artist" by Auston (can't remember last name).
Great suggestion! “Steal Like an Artist” by Austin Kleon is a fantastic read. It’s all about finding inspiration and remixing ideas in your own unique way. Thanks for sharing!
awesome idea!
Thank you
I have been writing notes in the last couple of weeks on what to do to improve my art, keep track of my processes and techniques and how to store this information as well as keeping an example of each 'product' I make, I felt that by doing this I would be able to remind myself of the techniques I have used and prefer and something to look at and work out how to improve the product and my designs, colour choices, sizing, additions and anything else my brain thinks of. I have memory loss so have to have like cue cards to remember. This is sort of what you are saying here. Amazing. This is very helpful to me. Thankyou
I'm so glad to hear that! Keeping notes and samples is such a powerful way to track your journey and improve your art. It’s like creating your own personalized reference library! Thank you for sharing your process. I love love to read these ideas. 😊😊
What a great idea, I find old projects and dont remember what the technique was called or how I got there so this would definitely help. Thankyou so much 😊
I'm so glad you think so Kelly! It's definitely a game changer for keeping track of techniques and projects. It’s like a little treasure of ideas to revisit. Thank you for your lovely comment!
That journal was awesome! I keep a small journal with ideas I got from other you tube artists or books & magazines. I think the way you keep the journal with a sample is even better, because you have something to go along with the notes. I have drawn some of the ideas, but I still like your way better. Thank you! For sharing your journal it was very inspiring.
Thank you Esmeralda! I love that you’re keeping a journal of ideas-it’s such a great way to capture inspiration. I’m glad you found my method helpful! As a visual girl, like many of us artists and creatives, having samples really makes it easier to remember the techniques.
I love your technique journal! I wonder why I haven't thought of it myself because many times I've done projects and when looking back on them, have forgotten the techniques I used to achieve the outcome. Your technique journal is such a sensible, practical, excellent idea, and once thought of, so obvious! Thank you so much.
😁😁 Thank you so much! I completely understand that feeling; it’s easy to forget the details of our projects. I'm glad you found the technique journal inspiring! It really helps to keep everything organized and at your fingertips.
would love to learn about the momagami paper technique. your journal idea is wonderful
Hi Margy, Thank you! I'm glad you liked the journal idea. The momigami paper technique is such a beautiful method! I'll consider sharing it in a future video. Stay tuned!😘😘
I definitely need to do this to keep up with my mixed media techniques. Great examples. You are very inspiring.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found the examples helpful. Have fun exploring your mixed media techniques!
I work in a similar way to u. I explore ideas through whatever means and use sketchbooks as a journey through my ideas. Thanks for sharing.
That’s wonderful, Julianne! It’s great to connect with someone who shares a similar creative process. Exploring ideas through sketchbooks is amazing and a game changer right?. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!😘
@@FranciscaNunes Oh absolutely! I was taught this way from day 1 at art college and i've kept it going and it is the only truly explorative and expansive practice. Without it art/design can be stifled.
I’m in awe of these techniques 🎉
😊😊 Thank you so much.
I really struggle retaining information due to my health so this is perfect for me THANKYOU so much Francisca . I’m in awe of your work . I’ve just started my mixed media exploration. Xlisa uk x
Thank you, Lisa for your kind words. ! I’m so glad to hear you found it helpful. Just take it at your own pace, and enjoy the process. 💖
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous sketchbooks and journals! LOVELY!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the sketchbooks and journals.
I just found your channel. Beautiful work. Love your idea for organization and "field" style notes. ❤
Thanks for joining, Lisa! I’m glad you love the organization ideas.
Find out more about the free class I talk about in the video - Fragments, here: hpaula-francisca-nunes-s-school.teachable.com/p/fragments-free-mixedmedia-art-class
I keep this type of a notebook for the classes I take. This is a great idea to start one for my own exploration and discoveries. Thanks so much for all the inspiration. ❤
What a great idea Francesca I have started doing this a little bit in my fragmentsjournal but without the accompanying notes. I can see how I would benefit by adding notes. Thankyou. 😁
I love the concept of exploring further and initiating a record to build on your personal ventures.. Thank you for introducing such a wonderful ongoing project. I would be interested in the mamigami cardboard into faux leather.
I loved learning about your process, Francisca. I have started to keep a similar record of techniques I’ve learned and projects I’ve tried. I call it my art recipe book. Yes to the momigami video! Thanks so much. ❤
I use a file box system so I can keep media or techniques grouped. I do the notes and clip them to each piece. I recently got a stash of old file folders out of storage and placed card stock glued onto the expansion area like a book spine (1 in. average) so they could hold things easier without crushing the edges.
I love my Fragments journal. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!
Thank you, Francisca. I have enjoyed your teaching on Wanderlust and love your journal idea as a keeper of techniques. I do worry it would take discipline that I sometimes find hard to muster! If you made a video on Momigami, I would start my technique journal with my outcomes!
❤
Thanks for the idea! Your idea journal is beautiful unto itself
Love it ❤
I just found your videos I will do a lot of exploring please would love to see a momagami on making it and what you do with it
This is genious, Francisca. ❤
Thank you Virginia. 😊😊
I think this helps us to satisfy both sides of our brain. I’ll bet it helps stave off cognitive decline,,, 🥰🥰🥰. And YES, PLEASE a video on making momagami paper.
💜
I love this idea Francisca. I have so many gelli prints that I love but I can't remember how I got the effects. This is also a great place for me to write down all my ideas so I don't forget them before I try them. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
