I just experienced a total loss of power in a major Orlando Road. Luckily the car kept going and I pulled under a shaded tree incase I had to look under the hood. But I decided to research the lights on UA-cam and ran into this video. I had turned off the car a few time and restarted it and nothing got better. Then I turned it off held the button you showed while restarting the car and I got my horse power back. The engine light still on though. That didn’t go away. It wasn’t there before all this happened. What do y’all think is going on with my 2005 350 z?

Man u video really help me to much, i remplace crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor and fuel pump and the mechanic said he don't know what is wrong with my car and i seen ur video and i trying for a 2 minutes and this was the problem the key 🙏🏼

originally this worked for me but now when I turn my key to the on position, my radiator fans come on full blast and I can't even attempt to crank it because it does nothing. Any idea?

I got a tuned ecu that had nats deleted but the light is still solid red and I told him about it he said that it’ll always be like that but the car is cranking and doing everything that your car did it just doesn’t turn on fully and the light is always solid so I’m pretty sure he just did it wrong

These cars are becoming scary. Too much malfunctioning electronics. It seems to me the electronics is poorly designed. Check the comments to see all the people with similar problem.

I had a similar situation with my 350z. at first I thought the car didnt start because of a bad fuel pump. it cranked over yet just did not start. I thought perhaps my key needed a new battery so I replaced the remote with a new battery. still didnt work. I then tried my spare key with spare remote and it started. turns out the original key was the problem. I thought I lost the code on the chip or the chip went bad. took it to where I bought the key. turns out even though I changed the remotes battery it turns out the chip got loose and moved away from the front area. the key company moved the chip back to the front area and glued it to the base so It could not be move. once the key was fixed the orginal key started the car right up due to setting the immobilizer off. total cost was zero since they felt it was their fault for selling me a key in which the chip shifted location internally. so my advice is if your car cant start use your spare key and see if it will start. best to start at a simple solution then work your way up.

You are correct. I have had the same issues with my 350Z. The work around is what is mentioned in the video. I have also replaced the key immobilizer, it still acts up at times. Its a very frustrating issue. My question: can the key immobilizer be removed?

Woou thanks to your video I know now why the red light check the fuse what is behind the battery and check the fuse and is 15 is the ignition and after change the red light go out and you can start the car

My key immobilizer doesn't work, I need to try and get this fixed first. Then, if that doesn't work, it could be that I have a dead battery.

BRO I REPLACE THE CAMS, CRANK, NEW STARTER ALMOST SPENT 1000K AND STILL NOT STARTING JUST CRANKS. BATTERY ABOUT 2 1/2 YEARS OLD, NEW ALTERNATOR UGH. MAN I WANT BEAT MY 350Z WITH A HAMMER OF FRUSTRATION BUT I CAN'T LOL. I SPENT TO MUCH MONEY ON IT AND PUT A LOT OF WORK INTO IT. AND NOW I'M ABOUT TO DROP A NEW FUEL PUMP, IF THIS SH1T DOESN'T START, I DON'T FUKING KNOW.

this same thing happens to me but when i clean the maf sensor it starts right up. I also cleaned TB properly and got a new MAF from the dealer ship. Changed spark plugs. About to change fuel pump, crank shaft sensor and put in a new coilpack..

Bro i just replaced coils spark plugs cams and crank sensors and everything quality too spent a lot of money 😭😭😭😭 I’ll update yall soon

IMPORTANT - I wanted to add this to this Great Video... My 2008 350z was recently stolen and I got it back. There was little damage but the theives cut a key (which I also got back). When I tried to use MY OLD KEYS the Immobilizer refused me. ONLY When I tried the "new" key which was apparently cut from the VIN (so they could just take the car), would my car actually start. *** This means that THE KEY, even though it works, can cause the Immobilizer System to Kick in. There is some Crazy Ju Ju going on with this system!
